Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe room has no window and it stunk of damp and was very musty. Felt very uncomfortable to sleep in. Very little space to actually move in the room with 2 people and 2 bags. Bathrooms were clean on our first night and then dirty for over 24 hours after that. No tissue paper being replaced. Seating area for breakfast couldn’t handle the number of guests. Other guests would sit in the seating area at all times of the night being very loud and shouting down the phone - staff did nothing.
Great location in Chinatown - close to the metro and to Maxwell Hawker Centre. Showers were hot, providing breakfast was a nice touch.

NetherlandsNot too social, . There are some people in the morning in the common area but besides that everyone is doing more or less his own thing.
Centrally located in Chinatown, Singapore. Close to MRT station. Helpful staff. They offer breakfast in the morning. Everything is kept very clean. Cold AC in rooms.

BangladeshGood Hostel. Value for money. The staff was good... The location was very good... Near the market, Chinatown, the Tample, Mosque, all are nearby... But a little bit noisy...when other people come to sleep they don't maintain rules...and do work with noise...

United StatesHonestly, nothing comes to mind. It was a great stay!
The location was perfect—lots happening nearby, just a 5-minute walk to the MRT, and easy to explore other areas on foot. The two main team members were very friendly, and Thiha, in particular, was always available to assist, making my stay effortless. I actually ended up extending my stay longer than planned! The cleaning crew did a thorough job maintaining the common areas daily. While check-in isn’t available before 3 PM, the team is very accommodating, allowing you to drop your bags and relax in the common areas. There were plenty of places to sit and charge your phone. The beds were comfortable and private, each with its own charging sockets and light. I also really appreciated the female-only dorms as a solo traveler. The rooms felt spacious, thanks to the under-bed lockers, and there was even a full-length mirror. The bathrooms on the second floor were well-stocked with soap in every shower, and I never had to wait for one in the morning. It’s a small detail, but I’ve stayed at places where showers lacked soap or paper towels—this hostel did a great job keeping both stocked. The kitchen was well-equipped with paper towels, filtered water (hot and cold), and a provided breakfast (though I didn’t try it). Having staff available 24/7 added to the sense of security. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and felt safe—I’d definitely stay here again next time I’m in town!

AustraliaThe quality of the beds. Could definitely use new ones as they completely sink in the middle making it feel like you’re just sleeping on the bed base itself - making a very uncomfortable sleep. The bathrooms could use a more frequent clean. Every morning we’d wake up and see strands of hair covering the sinks and more on the floor with water and soaked toilet paper/paper towels.
The location of the property is perfect. Right in the heart of China Town, next to delicious eateries and under a minute stroll to the Chinatown train station. The staff are very kind and helpful.

United KingdomBathroom facilities are looking a little tired and could do with a refurb (although kept clean). You have to remember to bring your own sliders as no outdoor shoes are allowed. More signage in the kitchen or about how to wash up/find things etc would be helpful.
Beds were comfy and felt private. It had all the facilities you would really want. Free breakfast was handy. Location is really excellent- very close to Chinatown and Maxwell MRT stations and near lots of amazing sites.

AustraliaNothing really. This place met all my expectations for a capsule hostel in a city like Singapore.
I'd previously stayed at Wink at McCallum Street, and decided to try this Wink instead. It's a little better located, because it's marginally closer to an MRT station, and my room here was much bigger and more comfortable than the McCallum Street room in which I'd stayed. Otherwise the two Winks were very similar, and both good. As at McCallum Street, I enjoyed the included buffet breakfast (Western-style cereal and toast, with tea/coffee), and there were plenty of interesting Chinese cuisine food outlets to try in the nearby streets (I particularly recommend Maxwell Food Centre, which is about equidistant from the two Winks).

AustraliaThere is no slipper provided so if you don't bring your own then you will have to walk barefoot to the toilet/bathroom area, since they require shoes to be stored at the entrance (no guarantee there will be a slot for you so gotta be back early to secure your spot). There was only one bottle in the shower stall, no labelling so I guess it was body wash. Having been to many Japanese hostels where shampoo, conditioner and body wash were provided in the shower, this is a bit of a let down. Climbing the stairs to get to the upper bed was challenging as well. The hostel provided stepping stools however there were only 2 in the room I was staying in, while there were 4 upper beds, so you have to be extra cautious when climbing down without the stepping stool because the gap is pretty big. There was no lift to get to the hostel - it is located upstairs so you will have to carry your luggage up.
Location was superb, only 3 min walk from Chinatown MRT. Comfortable bed, bigger than average, and spacious locker (can fit a carry on luggage plus 2-3 bags). Towel is provided without fee. Responsive and helpful staff.
