Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwitzerlandKitchen is a bit small, as are the laundry options. But both quite usable, just requires a bit of timing. While I was there, in the off season and mid week, there was not as much hostel/sitting together atmosphere. It's just too convenient to be in your own room, I guess ;).
Plenty of bathrooms. Shared and privates too. Private "half height rooms" with double bed. So everyone has their own tiny room, with a half height bed and small full height area to sit with a small table. Comfortable middle ground between hostel and hotel/apt. I like that concept. Not much noise in the room. Luggage storage and easy to extend the stay.

BelgiumThe price is high but it is cheaper than any other hotel around town. Within the prices of Ljubljana, the quality of the stay is very high. Rooms are small but you can chill and work in the common facilities and the terrace.
Great breakfast, very friendly staff and incredible terrace

SlovakiaI think that bathrooms were not cleaned every hour in the afternoon as it should be according to cleaning schedule, but let's be honest some of the visitors are messy...
Location is great, close to the station and also to the city center. There is small kitchen and common areas outside the capsules.

United Arab EmiratesThe sink in the shared kitchen is clogged at times.
The location is perfect, it's a 5 minute walk to the bus station and less than 10 minutes to the city centre. The double rooms with upper and lower bedroom concept is good. The common area is spacious and the communal kitchen is well-equipped.

GermanyI only missed some hooks in my room. It was fine that the room was small as expected, but I missed where to hang my towels, for example.
The location could not be better and staff were really friendly and very keen to provide support. Breakfast is quite reach and diversified. I liked in particular how nicely young and elderly people match in this hotel. This is a place ideal for all ages!

United KingdomThe bathrooms were always wet and dirty but not too horrible and I liked how many bathrooms there were. The kitchen was usually quite messy but mostly well equipped. The ladder up to the bed was unusually difficult for a bunk bed.
The lighting and theme of the hostel was very cool. The common space was big and clean, and there was coloured lighting in the room. Overall good vibes! If you are travelling with one other person, I’d highly recommend getting a private room with them as it was the same price (or maybe cheaper) than single beds in dorms in other hostels in Ljubljana. It was so lovely to have our own little space as a break from hostel dorms.

BelarusCooking utensils in the kitchen are broken (pans, pots). It is necessary to replace them with new ones. There are not enough utensils for so many residents. The room is tiny - only 7 square metres. There is no window in the room. Every morning starting from 6 o'clock, the smell of breakfast cooking - a distinct smell of sausages - came into in our Double Bed Cabin from the ventilation. It was unpleasant. The steps to climb up to the bed in the room are uncomfortable - they dig into the foot.
Great location, 3 minutes walk from the central bus/train station, 6 minutes walk from the old town of Ljubljana. Friendly personnel. It was nice that we had a possibility to lock the luggage for several hours in a luggage room for free. It was great that we could cook food in the kitchen. Comfortable double mattress in the Double Bed Cabin. Nice terrace.

United KingdomDuring my stay, I couldn't help but notice that my capsule didn't feel as clean as I would have liked. Additionally, the inconvenience of having to navigate a considerable distance to reach the bathroom in the middle of the night was a bit frustrating.
I had a great time at the hostel! I stayed in the single bed capsule , and the shared bathroom was fairly clean. The breakfast was good, especially the scrambled eggs—they were seasoned well. The view from the top floor, overlooking the castle and the Alps, was an amazing sight. I loved the hostel's social vibe, thanks to the table tennis and football setup. And the WiFi was solid, I could enjoy my late night Netflix in my capsule with no lag.

SerbiaThere is just 1 hairdryer per public bathrooms and when I tried using one it started smoking, other one luckily worked fine (there are 2 public). Also there was some noise during one of the nights, like a constant buzzing, Idk if it was from the room AC, ventilation or something, but it was driving me crazy, barely could sleep that night.
Comfy beds, good breakfast, nice view on the terace. There are private bathrooms which are very usefull. You can find there anything you need basicaly. From preparing your own food to washing your clothes. There is also a small gym which was very usefull for me as I was staying there cause of a marathon. Location also couldn't be better as it is 3 minutes away from bus and train station and 5 minutes from the Center and the river Ljubljanica. All around you can't get better value for the money.

Access to the gym was a lovely touch. The multi coloured lights were fun and different. The rooms were decent size and the shower facilities were fantastic.
