Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

New ZealandFelt the rooms were a fraction too small - the ladders hard to climb with bare feet
Great location - excellent facilities - fantastic breakfast - staff outstanding- thoroughly recommend

United KingdomWe originally had one of the outside teepees which were advertised as air conditioned but it turned out to just be a very ineffectual and loud electric vent(?) - definitely no cold air coming out. We tried to sleep in there for about 2 hours and then had to go to the front desk in the middle of the night and ask to switch to a room inside, which they did immediately which was very good. I just don’t think those teepees should be open in the summer, and I don’t think it’s right to advertise them as air conditioned. The room we switched to was decent and I would recommend it for the price.
Fantastic location minutes from centre on foot. Good breakfast and nice terrace. Very good showers and overall super clean.

New ZealandHas two washing machines and one dryer that didn’t end up working (eventually hung our clothes to dry in our small room) so getting laundry done was a nightmare. Especially for the amount of guests there are, shouldn’t really be advertised as an amenity. One large kitchen but still wasn’t nearly enough for the amount of guests trying to cook
Lots of communal spaces to hang out, work, meet new people. Bathrooms were regularly cleaned and there were a lot available - never once had to wait. Gym was a bonus and rooms were clean and had comfy beds

Netherlands- It’s a bit pricey for a private bed (I wouldn’t call it a peivate room, since there’s virtually no space to move around) - You can change the light color (???), but you can’t regulate air temperature? I found it a bit absurd that we were sweating during the night, while air conditioning in the corridors was almost freezing (we stayed in the lower part of a cabin). Maybe set it a bit cooler inside and a bit warmer outside the room? - We didn’t hear voices, but you could definitely hear doors opening and closing, and people moving around in the upper cabin. There seemed to be a lot of guests waking up early to catch a flight or train or who knows what, so do use ear plugs - Very slow check-in, for us and for people in front of us. No special circumstances in our case, it might just be a slow computer system. Beware if you need to rush to do something else. Checkout is fast though! - No communality feeling, just a warning if you want to socialize. I’d recommend it for people who want privacy
- Good location, conveniently placed between historical center and bus/train station - Helpful and kind staff, we needed help with something and they were super nice. Also good that staff is around all day, there’s always someone available - I like that there are so many rooms with both toilet and shower at the center of the building, they are shared with other guests but since there are so many you don’t feel time pressure and you have full privacy once you close the door

GermanyWe slept in the tents. Amazing experience but not recommendable in the summer. Our night was very cloudy and windy but it was still pretty warm. Everything else was great. The personal was also very friendly & helpful.

United KingdomI can see what others mean about the bathrooms being messy but I do think it’s a hostel so is to be expected, there is also private bathrooms near to the reception. The men’s bathroom smelt bad the whole duration of our stay and our bedding was never changed or towels replaced which I thought they would have in a private room. Also it is overpriced for what it is.
Good location close the transportation and the city centre, the staff I interacted with were helpful!

FranceThe mixed toilet are very troubling and there are not enough toilet for me (2 individual for woman and 1 for men which wasn't accessible during the major part of my trip) Not very "disabled-friendly" Fridge always full People in general not very welcoming but I can't blame the hotel for their hosts A bit expensive for an hostel
The bed was comfortable and the room size was also good ! The bed was a double and it was more than enough for two people (I was alone). You have two usb port (one usb A and one usb c) on each part of the bed It's between a capsule and a normal room without shower toilet and it's good if you don't care of the size Another good point is the drink in the vending machines aren't utterly expensive. You can have normal water for free in the hall but it's not cold. For cold water in the machine it's 70cts, which isn't so expensive compared to other ones. You have facilities to have fun with friends also. The hotel is at 400m from bus stop, at 600m from the train station and very close to most of interesting places. You also have two Lidl close to this hotel and a 24/24 snack in the street Always opened Nice staff

CanadaThere’s air conditioning in the rooms, but it’s not very strong.
Super nice hostel. Modern, clean and really well located. The little room was cozy, not very spacious but two person fit easily with big bags. There’s even private bathrooms with shower so definitely a plus.

Very nice concept for a city where tourist accommodations are quite expensive. You can have privacy while saving space and money. Great lights in the room as well 😁

United KingdomThe tents!!! Great idea but in no way was there the advertised air con in them Completely useless device made no difference to the sweltering temperature A member of staff was eventually able to re house us in one of the cabins...which were great If the cabins had been full it was unclear what could have been done...I'd suggest don't book a tent...book a cabin instead if you are going in the heat of summer
A great modern hostel environment Super facilities of shared kitchen and toilets and showers Air con was very welcome in communal areas and the cabins Quiet Between train/ bus station and town...5 mins to each

GermanyIn summer it gets really warm in the tent, fans are built in but bring relatively little. But you can open the second doors, which brings in some cooling. The restrooms are also striking: Shared bathrooms are always dependent on those who use them, these looked frighteningly unclean shortly after cleaning. And this despite the fact that cleaning is done here almost every 2 hours. It's unbelievable how some people behave on holiday... The hotel can't help it and they are really trying, but it seems to be a battle against windmills
Central location between the main train station and the old town. Entrance leads to 3 elevators, reception on the seventh floor. Reception is staffed 24 hours a day with friendly staff who have very good English skills. Straightforward check-in & check-out. Nice idea to place tents on a high-rise roof. Interior Waterproof thanks to the wooden sheathing of the tent. A bit cramped inside, but really nice for you alone. Overall, the price-performance ratio is right here.

IcelandThe biggest downside by far was how loud the ventilation system was, I could barely fall asleep in the evening as the noise kept me awake. I would not recommend this room for light sleepers. Another downside was the complicated lighting, it took me a while to figure out just how to turn the lights on. I would've preferred a simple light switch instead of overly complicated multicoloured lights.
The staff was accommodating and very nice. The facilities (bathroom, shower etc.) were extremely clean - it was very obvious that it's cleaned regularly. The room itself was comfortable and cozy, although I would not recommend it for elderly people or people who aren't relatively spry. The hotel itself is well situated - it's near the main train station and it doesn't take long to walk downtown.

United KingdomThe bathrooms! Most of them appeared to be out of order and locked. I had trouble finding a toilet to use in the middle of the night. The ones that were working were like swamps as the shower water goes everywhere, never have I been so glad to have a pair of flip flops in a hostel! Also the fan in the tent was totally ineffective. It was so hot when we were there and the tent was sweltering. Really liked the tent generally though and would be great if temp was a bit lower
Very cool hostel, all very spacious and well designed. Plenty of seating both in and outside with sockets for phone charging etc. Lots of lockers available which we used before check in. Good options to buy food and drink, although cash only. All the staff we encountered were fantastic and very accommodating. We had paid for breakfast but plans changed and we had to catch a train at 5:00 AM so they kindly gave us breakfast to go. Would happily stay here again if I was in Ljubljana, just maybe not in a tent in 35 degree heat!!

United StatesI was under the impression the tents had AC. Nope. They do have ventilation, and plenty of space for chilling inside the building with A/C, but the tents themselves do not. For me, it was a bit warm for sleeping in late June.
I stayed in one of the tents. The place is super large and super nice! Location is great for walking into old town and the parking garage (€16 euro a day) is located right next door. The stands was super helpful and responsive for helping with parking.

FinlandDouble room didn't have hangers, so drying towels after shower or clothes was difficult. The kitchen was messy from dishes all the days that we stayed, but that is mostly because of the visitors fault, not the hostels.
