“I travelled with a group of friends to attend the ANZAC day service at Kanchanaburi.
I shared a room with my friend. Our beds were queen single in size and very comfortable. The food and service at the restaurant was brilliant. The location was way off the grid. Not a place to stay if you want easy access to shopping or tourist attractions. But for a quiet romantic holiday, definitely worth considering.
I didn't swim in the river. It was flowing way to fast for my swimming ability. However those who braved the river, wearing the life jackets, appeared to be having a great time.
It was a beautiful location, very remote and not easy to get to.
We came on a bus, which dropped us at the other motel. Then a short boat ride from there to floathouse. It would be perfect for a quiet honeymoon or just to get away for total relaxation and pampering for a few days.”
“The location is stunning, you feel like you are in the jungle. The pool and hot spring pool. I wish I’d have stayed for more than one day but didn’t have time.”
“Warm welcome upon arrival, help with luggage, staff very helpful and friendly. Tent equipped with mosquito nets, filled mini bar, silent A/C no bad odor. Bicycles to rent for free.
Breakfast Thai / Western style buffet, dinner provided as outdoor BBQ. Not spicy at all but Fish-Chili sauce available to increase your grade of happiness.
Staff considers themself rather as Moon tribe than as Thai which is different culture. This could also be recognised at the massage house. The type and manner of massage is way better to what tourists normally get in Bangkok.
Lovely and refreshing nature pool, activities can be booked at the front desk. I did the bamboo rafting with swimming in the River Kwae.”
“Location on River and near Hellfire pass was excellent . Staff were also excellent in particular the lady at reception/ meals was most helpful and nice, also Drivers most helpful. The free transport to Hellfire pass and local area was much appreciated.”
“Beautiful and peaceful location. Staff very attentive. Moved the table in the shade so we could eat breakfast out of the sun. Rooms are lovely, very clean and well equipped.”
