How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Locks on the outside of the toilet doors. Realise it’s to stop them swinging but seems a bit weird. Strangely, someone locked me in, which was resolved quickly, but could have been very annoying if no one else was in the bathroom.
The dorm room was really spacious, and the beds were super comfy. We liked that the stairs up to the top bunk were steps rather than a ladder. Also really appreciated how clean they kept the space.

It was to hot in the bathroom so I’ve started to sweat right after showering, and the bars around whit music and dj makes necessary an ear plugs to sleep

It was pretty loud at night as there are bars close by with live music.
Everything was very clean, nice staff, and the bed was comfortable. The quality was great for the money! Restaurants and 7/11 are right there.

Water that was available in the common room was warm as it is so hot, which we aren’t use to, and wifi can be patchy at times.
Good location. Not too loud, there was a little night noise off the street but nothing crazy. Was kept nice and clean and tidy.

There was a very noisy Chinese man in the room, snoring the whole night (3 nights), he kept all of the people awake during the night. Very disrespectful. These persons should book a private room. Respect others while sleeping.
Clean, very good hostel (one of the best I have stayed), cleaning is very good and frequent!

The showers and toilet stalls are really tiny. You could barely move around plus the doors were really moldy.
Great location and comfy bed on the walking street. The cleaning ladies seemed to clean 24/7

The only big problem was the drinkin water in the relax area that made us feel sick. After one day in our waterbottles, a stinky smell appeared and we started to feel sick. In the morning we saw a guy filling the the water tank with another dirty water tank. Recommendation: boil before drinking it.

The shower room was really dark and if they could offer some discount in the cafe downstairs for the people in the hostel would be amazing!
Very clean, bed is really comfortable and the location is perfect. The cafe downstairs is awesome although a bit pricey.

The cafe that belongs to the hostel is quite expensive. Maybe they could offer a discount for people who stay at the hostel. The showers are a bit small.
The staff is friendly, the place is very clean. They change the sheets and towels every day. Excellent.

I love to stay here so much. Everything is fantastic, especially location and bed. Restroom and bathroom are a little small, but it’s okay. The owner is lovely and nice. Cafe is on the first floor. Coffee is amazing. A lot of choice of good food. Reasonable price. Just one minute by walking street. It easy to go anywhere in island.

I feel like there could be more showers but not a massive issue. They have air gaps in the windows? Idk if this is intentional but kinda seems like a bad idea for mozzies + aircon efficiency. Overall a good hostel
It has a great location. Just off walking street close to everything you need. The water gun to clean you sandy feet at the entrance. The cafe below is amazing. We used Z touch travel for transfers to khao sok national park.

If you are a light sleeper due to the great location can hear nearby bars at night. Didn’t really affect us but maybe just have earplugs.
Absolutely amazing stay! The location couldn’t be better right on walking street! Spacious room with amazing air con. Super clean and towels provided!
