Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaThe only thing we didn't realise was that it was car or grab dependent. No easy access to the beach. No sidewalks to walk to the stores.
Very quiet, nice pool, great rooms.

Czech RepublicWater pressure could be higher, nearly no hot water. Scooters that we got were in a rough shape, we noticed that one had low air pressure. The second one was very hard to start/open trunk and one light was not working even though we were promised a fix.
Good value for money, great location if you have a scooter. Cleaning every day and beautiful views.

PolandThe only thing is that the location is not very great, there is a beach within 5-minute walking distance, but it's hardly accessible, as the coastline is built up with resorts. Also, there's a 7 eleven nearby and some restaurants, but it's impossible to get there on foot, as there's a very busy 4-lane road. But if you have a scooter or a car, the location is not a problem at all. Also, there are a lot of taxis nearby that can pick you up within a short period of time.
The apartment was spacious and clean, well equipped, had a balcony, very comfortable. The staff was very nice and helpful, there was cleaning every day. We loved the pool and the jacuzzi. It was very peaceful and quiet. There is a Vietnamese restaurant right next to the residence, but we haven't tried it.

United KingdomThat the reception isn’t open all the time so hard to ask for help or if you need anything for your room
I liked that it’s right near most things and you could walk but also it’s very quite and can’t hear anything.

IndiaThe property only accepts cash. They need to start accepting credit cards.
We booked an apartment for 10 days and really enjoyed our stay here. The apartment has a stove and utensils for those days when you want to make your own meal. Housekeeping is done daily (Sunday is an off). The property has a well maintained pool. The staff is super friendly. You can arent bikes as well as book activities from here. Laundry service is provided at a nominal cost. The location is very peaceful, proximity to Chaweng Beach is a plus. There is a restaurant Mekong next to the property. Food there is very nice. All in all a great place to stay.

United KingdomThe main road at the bottom was busy and fast flowing making it precarious to cross. There were also no pavements to be able to take the walk in to the nearest town. No fun walking on a fast dual carriageway that is poorly lit and hilly with no pavements. Absolutely no problem if you’re going to hire a moped.
A wee walk up the hillside, a little off the beaten track but still places to eat and buy supplies around us. As it was on the hillside we were surrounded by lush vegetation and all the wildlife it brings, the bird chorus, especially at sunrise was amazing. The views from the apartments were spectacular, especially the sunrises and the sea views. The apartments were spacious and spotless as was the grounds and swimming pool. A 5 min walk to the beautiful beach and a few chilled bars and restaurants.

United KingdomNo access to drinks at the pool Quite a few stray dogs, and one day a bull tied up but still intimidating on the walk to the beach. A very busy road to cross and sometimes the gate to the beach is shut.
Very clean, nice quiet pool. 10 minutes walk to the beach where you can then walk all the way along to the main Chaweng stretch (although you have to walk over a bridge belonging to another hotel which I don’t think you’re supposed to do but we didn’t get told off Nice restaurants within a 2 minute walk

United KingdomThe only issue was completely out of their control, as we had a little difficulty finding the location, as the taxi people at the airport were not familiar with the location, however, I do assume that is because it is not one of the resorts, which the island is filled with
The location was very convenient, being only 10 minutes from the main Chaeweng beach via moped, and around 15 minutes from all of the other major beaches. There is also a 7-Eleven within a 30 second drive. Our host was extremely helpful, and a pleasure to be around, all of the facilities were kept extremely clean, the room was absolutely spotless, with a plethora of cooking utensils, and a microwave, and toaster, the room was made up every day, and we did get our laundry done, which was done very quickly and well. The swimming pool was extremely nice to relax in, and despite there, being low, hanging trees, very nearby, the pool was never dirty, and the entire pool area was always impeccably clean. Towels, and beach towels were provided, and replaced if necessary . I would definitely recommend staying here. there is also a 7-Eleven within a 32nd drive

Great cosy place, quite well equipped. Mosquito nettings are everywhere! Nice pool and all are set in quiet surroundings. It also felt very safe to leave kids there on their own. The staff is very helpful and will sort out for you anything required, such as taxi, bookings etc.

AustraliaRoom ok, beds uncomfortable, pool nice. Location terrible. It is almost impossible to access beach due to the greedy resorts thinking they own them. If you stay there you will have to walk along the busy road north and then walk down the creek/drain. Once you get there (if you don't get hit by a car first) the beach is beautiful. Koh Samui is so overpriced now that this place seems relatively cheap but you will need a car to get anywhere. Restaurant close by called 3 dogs is pretty good.

Ireland- They clean daily but only if you're not in the room. If you're in the room they don't ask to clean which I only realised after the second time they didn't clean. Cleaning is basic and they didn't refill the soap - All places I've stayed in Thailand would refill water daily but they don't do it here - I had a question about the property before my stay and it took over a day to get a response which was sent in French. Thankfully the Booking app can translate but it's a bit crazy that people are allowed to run a business here without speaking Thai or English. I get the feeling that the owners don't do much to look after the place or the staff - The sound insulation isn't great so the neighbour upstairs walking around sounded like a hammer on the floor and I could hear them go toilet - There was construction work going on right outside my door for multiple days and was extremely loud and disruptive for my work. They offered me an alternative room further away but it was on a low level covered by trees so it was too dark. They could have easily warned me about this upfront and it really bothered me that they didn't
- It's in a quiet location which I really liked and has a lot of views of the sea, mountains and jungle around it. You definitely need a bike or car to get around. They rent out bikes at the accommodation so need to leave your passport with a random rental place - It's a good room if you're spending a lot of time as it's quite spacious and equipped for working remotely - Very fast wifi which is perfect for working - Lots of natural light in the room thanks to all the big windows and doors - Netted doors mean you can leave doors open all day and not worry about insects getting in - It is quite clean and comfortable - Beds are very firm but I like that but may not suit some people - Only a few minute's walk or 1-minute bike ride to the beach which is very quiet and beautiful

United KingdomThe residence is in a nice quiet area, so it’s peaceful despite its proximity to the main road. I had a motorbike accident and the staff went above and beyond to help me, taking me to the hospital and even to Western Union when I lost my card! It’s a very quiet place to stay, and the restaurant Mekong opposite is delicious (but quite pricey)... the closest beach is beautiful but you have to cross a main road to get there. The staff were kind and helpful always and it was extremely clean.
