Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IsraelThe reception staff was very kind. The location is pritty isolated, with not a lot of things to do around, but we liked it. Good breakfast and very welcoming waiters and kitchen workers. We recommend taking the thai cooking class. Two small problems we had: 1. The baby cot isn't suitable for a 6 month old baby, but for a much older toddler. We managed to improvise a bed with the sofa. 2. The bath was so large that it took more than an hour to fill it up, and we didn't want to waste so much water, so we used it only once during our stay.

United KingdomThe breakfast was really good, but the food from the restaurant was the only thing that could have been a little bit better; a bit more attention to the cooking would have been appreciated. Since there aren’t many places to visit near the complex, you’re more or less obliged to eat there. Also they were a bit cheeky with their "Happy Hour cocktails" get one drink for 290 baht the other is free. I felt it was a little expensive personally compared to other places we visited..
The place is amazing, the effort the staff put in to keep the place clean, tidy and so well-manicured is fantastic, The superior villa we stayed in was beautiful as well. The staff were friendly and always helpful whatever you needed.

United KingdomSadly the restaurant is not up to scratch and we were disappointed. Also there is little within walking distance of the resort. Breakfast was the best meal.
It is in a beautiful setting and the private beach was lovely - also the water quality is good in this area for swimming

PolandNothing to complain
From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed by the incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Their kindness and attentiveness made our experience unforgettable.welcome drinks were a lovely way to settle in and start our vacation. The hotel’s massage services were great. The cooking class offered by the hotel was another highlight. We had so much fun learning how to prepare local dishes, and the chef made it an engaging and enjoyable activity. Lastly, the atmosphere was just perfect—calm and serene, with a lot of attention to detail in creating a relaxing experience for guests. We couldn’t recommend Elixir Hotel more highly!

AustraliaVery minor things. The resort asked to communicate to reception via WhatsApp but didn't make it clear that this should be via text (makes sense as it's translating for them), and phone calls to the WhatsApp number went unanswered. The baths on the balconies of the deluxe rooms were unusable; They have a very small hot water system and the water only trickles out taking hours to fill (cold as the hot water runs out far quicker than it fills). You don't really need the balcony bath, but a bit sad that it's not actually possible to use.
The location is just perfect; The whole island of Koh Yao Yai is just awesome and the resort is situated on one of the best (private) beaches. The rooms were large, clean, and comfortable. The staff are amazing and had no issue giving food from different restaurants to where we wanted to eat, and even made cocktails using our recipes. The resort arranged transfer on the way there for a reasonable fee - though we found there was probably a better option, read on). We were able to arrange transport from the resort at the end of our stay via long tail boat to pick us up directly from the resort beach and take us to our next destination for a very reasonable price (arranged directly with Don at Loh Pared beach not via resort). Motorbike (scooter) rental is available literally at the end of the resort driveway for 250baht per day.

United StatesBaths take forever to fill up and hot water runs out far before they are full. It was more of a plunge pool
Right on the best beach in the west side. Motorbikes just a short walk to the top of the road for rent for $7 a day to cruise the island. Snrokling juat out front. Insanely amazing buffet breakfast included. The staff made me cry leaving, such sweet souls. Will come back for sure! Also happy house and sunsets were amazing.

ItalyThis is really a paradise, far from common Phuket crowds, if you’re looking for a nice, private and quiet place, this is it. And if you’re willing to explore the island, there are many options like hotel’s excursions, or grabbing a motorbike in the many shops outside the hotel and go around (be careful when driving). The sea is subject to tides as all beaches in Thai, with high tide is a nice swimming, with low tide no way to have a bath, but great landscape to see. Due to corals b careful when entering the water for a swim. The hotel’s restaurant is nice and with awesome views, have a dinner by sunset is kind of magical. Food is good quality and serving is fast and gentle, all workers there are smiling and willing to help. Prices are good considering it’s a resort, don’t compare with outside shops where you can get cheaper prices … it’s your decision…
