We changed our plans at the last minute and arrived early to ko chang. This was the only hotel we could find at the last minute.

It was available. We could use the main resort facilities right on the beach across the road and have breakfast there.

Run down building , run down grounds , poorly maintained with rubbish and old furniture cluttering the outside space

Gardens around the pool not finished yet. Not enough loungers around pool. No seats outside shalet. Advertised as 4 star accommodation but barely a 3 star. No shop on complex. Pool not cleaned regularly. Paths around pool and shalets breaking down. Area around pool not cleaned regularly. Showers and toilet near pool disgustingly dirty and not cleaned regularly.

There is to much rubbish everywhere, it looks like they can’t keep order in the place. Also the cleaning can be better, the floor in the hallways are quite dirty. This place could be so much better if they do a deep clean and replace old stuff.

Location was good. Staff was nice, especially Em, he is a great guy, he got us a great room with big windows and lake view from our terrace. We also got free breakfast buffet for 11 days at Koh Chang Resort, just across the road.

The Hotel in the back needs updating as it’s old and a bit rundown. They also need to change what’s included in their description on this site.

The beach was great and the included breakfast was very good. The staff were helpful and nice.

The rooms are completely overpriced. The dirtiest room we had in ko Chang( stayed in 5 different ones) . It was that bad that we cancelled the rooms when we first walked in. The guys at the reception understood our point and said they will refund the money when we request it. We think that’s a pretty common thing for them because they didn’t react shocked or anything. Up until now they didn’t refund the money obviously. The whole thing is just a scam. Do yourself a favour and don’t book a room there. Overall the worst hotel we’ve been so far.

It turns out that this small hotel is situated directly opposite the Kochang Cabana Resort, which is an actual resort as opposed to just a hotel. It is part of the resort and is the budget section of the Cabana Resort. It looks to me like it was newly acquired and still needs some work. However, the fun thing is that the guests of the Cabana Big Hotel have unrestricted , 24-hour access to all the facilities at the Resort, including very nice breakfasts, bar on the beach, beach loungers, two swimming pools as well as the nice pool on the Big Hotel grounds. You therefore have access to THREE swimming pools and very, very nice white, sandy beaches. Basically, you just sleep at the Big Hotel opposite the resort, but spend all your day at the resort. I must be honest that I dont think the bedrooms at the Big Hotel offer very attractive rooms, so my granddaughter and I opted to pay more to upgrade to a bungalow room around the pool at the Big Hotel. We would definitely return to stay at the Cabana Big Hotel, but would book a bungalow room until we know the hotel rooms have been properly renovated. I found the staff at the Big Hotel extremely helpful, especially the manager whose name is 'M' - or 'Em'. We had a lovely time, we spent all day on the beaches at the resort and only went back to sleep in the room. Unfortunately, the bed was rather hard for our liking!

The place was so filthy, but I couldn't sleep ,bathroom disgusted. We did upgrade the room still bad (toilet disgusted and trouble flush).Bye bye.The staff try hard and really nice.

The property is run down, desperately needs work done. Very dirty rooms, hairs everywhere and the shower looks like it’s never been cleaned. Old bandaid left in shower. Leaky pipe on the balcony so constantly wet. Tools left on balcony table. Cost a lot of money for the room, not worth it. No hot water for 2 days.

The staff were very friendly. Good location. Free breakfast at resort across the road.
