it was a really social hostel and the location is beautiful, and railay is such a good place to visit.

The sheets were not comfortable. The ac doesn't work everyday between 11:00 am til 18:00 pm, so it's very hard to nap. (There is also a fan but not that good). The hostel is located on top of 80 steps, so if you want to go to the beach or the market you have to go down and up. It looks like you are close to the ocean, but actually the real beach is on the other side of the island (10 minutes walk). The pool is mediocre.

The staff was nice and helpful. The shared room was quite big and each bed had a locker for the bags. The shower and toilet were clean and got cleaned every day. Every bed has a lighter and a plug to charge.

The bed was wet, because of the climate there, anyway only happened that here to me. The toilet (wc) were always wet even after the cleaning service were making the room. I made a reservation for 7 nights with booking and in the end I only stayed for 2 nights. My plan was going to another island for 2 nights and coming back but they made me do the check out and told me If I come back I had to pay again (even if I paid already for 7 nights and only enjoy two). They told me to do the cancellation over booking, but booking and myself are trying already for 6 days to contact them because they need to confirm that I only enjoyed 2 nights that booking can give me my money back. I recommend not reservate here if you have flexible plans! It was also not possible to leave some things behind..

curtains on the beds would be nice and I don’t love when the bathroom is inside the dorm rooms and everyone can hear everything and also hard only having one toilet and shower for 8 people

the view was incredible, bar had daily activities, good drinks and food, the whole layout of the hostel felt like a resort, friendly staff.

I think it would have been good for the drinks deals to be for soft drinks and alcoholic, as fancied a coffee and couldn’t get one in the deal.

the atmosphere, the people were amazing! The trips were so well planned and got everyone together. It was definitely a vibe.

The property was amazing, the food and facilities were exceptional. Blanco does not miss. All the staff were quite simply fantastic. The events put on by the hostel were always super fun and really interesting. We have never felt so welcomed by staff who joined us going out in the evenings and showed us all their favourite spots.The most welcoming girl though had to be Georgia, the Canadian darling was so special :0 !! Conor, Liv Lauren etc etc etc all just smashed it. thanks so much guys and hope to be back.

Blanco is definitely the best place i stayed at in Thailand,The staff are the some of the nicest people you will ever have pleasure of meeting,You feel extremely welcome from the moment you arrive.The pool is really good and all the other facilities are top notch. The amazing staff put on a variety of events everyday from the Sick boat party/tour that Conner and Georgia run To the pub crawl,MuayThai night and many more different events. I couldn’t recommend Blanco enough such a friendly and fun atmosphere so easy to meet new people and new make friends. Overall 10/10

My room was very dirty. The fault might not be on the hostel but on the other people staying in the room, however I think the bathroom wasn't cleaned up every day. My bed sheets were dirty and full of sand when I arrived, but I suspect my roommates of putting their stuff on it before my arrival. I asked to change the sheets and there was no issue. I checked in a bit late, around 6pm and all the towels available were wet so I did not receive one.

Big hostel with lots of backpackers so very sociable atmosphere (but also very noisy), nice common spaces and pool, great view.

The staff is not polite, they dropped my clothes from the bed to the floor because I did not checkout on time. When I complained to the owner, he started talking too strong. Also they require to leave them the passport or 1000bath as deposit.also the bathroom was always dirty and the shower has only cold water and without pressure, I feel like i did not shower at all

Impossible to sleep because of the other people in the room who came back from their evening between 1 and 5 am making a lot of noise for more than an hour despite a remark. Bathroom not clean. Only one shower for 10 people so 1 hour waiting to take a shower in the evening.

the staff after u book u get a message that there are only people between 18-35 allowed, that was no problem for me but they have to make it clear before the booking since it has to be payed in advance. they take for granted to keep your passport for your whole stay and only after u complain about it you can deposit 1000 baht instead. you can’t bring outside alcohol to the hostel.

There are a lot of photos of the gym - the gym is not actually part of the hostel. You need to pay an additional 200baht and it is down the road.

for the price the location is not that good, it is beautiful but the beds are hard, the shower is too close on the toilet making it wet. You have to pay to refill your water. you have to give your passport as a deposit
