What a special place this is. One of our top stays while we have been travelling Thailand over the past month. My partner and I had such a magical time at Lazy Republique. The pool is gorgeous, especially at night. Pilou and Fred are so passionate about their place and that really shines through. The bungalows are all set in their own little private areas with outdoor seating. We loved they cleaned it every day as well. The facilities are all beautiful and very well maintained. This area of the island was also our favourite. Set in the south, much quieter with a nice beach within walking g distance. And the most wonderful restaurant next door called ‘Coconut Cafe’ Would highly recommend!

What a wonderful place ! We described Lazy Republique as our “Jungle Paradise”. Excellent, comfortable accommodation, set in a lush, green environment with close access to local bars, restaurants and beaches. Transport is easily available for those wishing to explore further afield. Lazy Republique has a lovely pool and sun terrace. There is a lovely bar where many residents meet to enjoy the panoramic views of sunset whilst enjoying drinks and conversation. There is a very homely feel to Lazy Republique- created by our wonderful hosts, Pilou and Fred who are so warm, welcoming and helpful, they felt more like friends who we had known for years. Finally - I must mention the breakfast- so, so good and absolutely recommended! A truly superb place to stay!

It was all great!

We loved it here. The owners are super nice, very helpful and go out of their way to provide you with a great experience. The pool area is beautiful and even though the place was fully booked, we mostly had it to ourselves. The bungalows are stylish and spacious enough, and everything was super clean. We would absolutely stay here again.

Pretty much perfect! Owners are great, super friendly, interesting and informative. Urban bungalows in the garden are fully equipped and best bed I’ve slept in in Thailand. Location wise also the best spot on the island. Would come back and will of course recommend. Keep up the absolute magic of this place! Thank you for everything.

Gorgeous place! Huts are well spaced out in a green garden so you have some privacy. The room large, clean and well furnished so can unpack. The pool area heavenly. Breakfasts delicious and so much choice. The couple running it are friendly and helpful.

We loved the whole vibe at Lazy Republique. The apartments had everything you need, beautiful pool and it was a great location to explore Ko Chang. The highlight for us was the warm hospitality and kindness from the hosts, Fred + Pilou. Great island knowledge, wonderful breakfast and delicious cocktails at sunset.

It’s a lovely place, peace and preserved. Fred and Pilou are so nice and giving the best advices. It’s a really good place to end our trip. The breakfast is delicious and the bar for the sunset an awesome place.

What a great place to stay. Rooms are spacious, bathroom as well. Super well maintained and shower actually had some decent water pressure. The hosts were super helpful, went out of their way to arrange a transfer to a place where not many public transport goes to.

Not much to not like! The nearest beach was very nice but is a little walk away which was fine for us but might not be for everyone.

Lovely little bungalows, the site is so nice and relaxing. Really appreciated all the advice, really helped us to get the most out of the stay on the island. It's near some nice restaurants too (go to coconut cafe!!) We enjoyed the breakfasts, would say they are worth paying extra for. We liked staying in a quieter part of the island.

Everything was perfect. The room was so comfortable, the best nights sleep we had on our whole trip. Really comfortable bed and pillows. Mr Pilou and Mrs Fred are PERFECT hosts! They invited us to their bar for a welcome drink and also bought us a farewell glass of wine! ❤️🇫🇷🇹🇭 The bungalows are perfect - situated in the garden, up a gentle slope. They have hot showers, fridge, safe/security box, air conditioning, free sustainable water bottles and cold water. The breakfasts were amazing!! I recommend the ‘cocottes’. Mrs Fred booked all our onward travel and transfers for a VERY good price. Mr Fred gave us great recommendations for eating and helped us with our French!!

Fred and Pilou are absolutely brilliant hosts. Nothing it too much trouble, they will sort out bike/car hire, transfers and have great local knowledge. Fred's French breakfasts are better than any I've had in France:-) The rooms are basic but very clean and comfortable. Efficient air con. The location, for us, was perfect. Restaurants 50 to 300 metres away. The Coconut Kitchen next door was our favourite. Better quality and half the price of some others. We preferred the centre to south of Koh Chang. So Lazy Republic is perfect If you don't rent a bike ir car it's still very easy to move around. Just walk to the road and wait for one of the pickup truck shared taxis.

Great place in a quiet village Bailan. 7 min on motorbike to the best beach of an island - Lonley beach. Very good restaurants and massage in a walking distance. Chill atmosphere, very friendly and supportive owners, very comfortable bungalows. Enjoyed our stay there!

Great stay at Lazy République !! Very good location on the island, plenty of food and massage options around Bailan, which is a nice and quiet neighbourhood, just a hop from Lonely Beach and Bang Bao pier by scooter. We’ve got a very warm welcome by Fred and Pilou the owners, confortable room with with all needed amenities. We’ll definitely come back !

The curtains in the room could be perhaps a bit thicker, so that the light doesn't wake you up early in the case where you have been partying late 😂

The atmosphere and the hosts . The bar was a nice place to hang out and chat with the owners but also other hotel guests . I always got great recommendations and the owners can arrange tours for you . I loved the pool and how quiet it was on the property . No noisy guests or crowds- everything was super relaxing . Their cat is also super adorable !

Fantastic resort with large and comfortable bungalows surrounded by beautiful trees. Pool area is new, spacious and very cozy. Large bathroom and great water pressure in the shower. Bed was amazing. Owners and staff are very helpful and kind.
