Nothing around the hotel for at least 1km radius, hotel was pretty empty given its huge size but could be due for the season, a part from that this is a really good hotel

The only fault were the sheets weren’t overly clean looking on one of the beds, even had a small blood smear on the pillow.

The resort is huge, just call reception when you want to go there and they send a buggy to pick you up and take you. The pool area is outstanding. If you never want to leave the resort, this one is perfect!

When we arrived we didn't receive any welcome cocktail/drink as it was promised on the website and when Booking the room. The Hotel didn't Event knowledge our anniversary in any way. Not even congratulating or giving a card. The room was full of sand when we arrived and the air conditioning was really loud. There was also a connecting door in our room which the other rooms guests tried to open in the middle of the night.

Special thanks to one of the pool worker Khun Cake who helped me fix my big toe after it started to bleed some blood. The Hotel Building was beautiful and breakfast was ok.

Rooms are dated, funny smell and nothing felt like it was cleaned properly. To be honest I felt like the place was to big and had a little staff trying to keep it going... Around every corner you could see it just falling apart. Service was terrible. Couldn't eat the property just didn't trust the place

Abandoned buildings in front of the hotel and the endless corridor made it feel really depressing. Almost only Russian guests. Nothing around the hotel. Had to walk miles to get out of the hotel grounds as there was a brick Wall surrounding the whole area.

Room was clean and spacious. Pool and gym. Golfcar drove us through the area at check-in and check-out.

The beach is quite stiff. The water depth exceeds your height after five steps, and not good for children. But it was ok for good swimmers.

Clean and spacious room. Beautifully designed and decorated main building. Nice breakfast. Clean, warm, and very long swimming pool. Nice and helpful staffs. Close beach with only a few people. Quiet and beautiful surrounding. Free bicycle rental. Nice outside restorants within a walking distance. 7/11 and mini C market in 15 minute walk. Only 20 minute drive from the airport (the famous Patong beach we visited on the last day is crowded with too many people and takes 1 hour drive from the airport).

spotless, spacious room, comfy bed, great shower and bath with a view! Beautiful sparkling, clean pool. Well maintained gardens. Lovely buffet breakfast with large variety of different dishes. Very friendly, efficient and helpful staff. I was super impressed with Maikhao Palm Beach Resort.

Restaurant/breakfast room. Flies everywhere, on the food and on tables. It was quite dirty and the lady who cooked the eggs was miserable and unhelpful. The swimming pools looked dirty. With more care and attention this could be a good hotel.

It is a shame that they do nothing with the beach, I mean no chairs, sunshields, bars or nothing,,, it would be so much extra. The beach in it selv is fine. We went to Nai Yang with a taxi 20 min, to enjoy the beach there and beach restaurants which were goods.

The Hotel is absoloutly STUNNING AND BEAUTYFUL with altl these fine details and handcrafted things, which we loved. The staff were very rude, we requested an airport transfer on arrival , I had to call the hotel 3 times until the taxi arrived 45min late. We later found out they simply forgot to organise the pick up. The pool was dirty , food service was very slow ( 1-2hour wait) they ran out of things constantly , room was not cleaned daily , water not provided, breakfast was terrible . What ever you do never get a massage there , worse experience of my life , I had bruises the next day ( and just to add I actually enjoy a Thai massage , this was pure torture) the ladies at the spa were chatting and laughing the whole time , wasn’t asked about injuries or pressure I would like, I asked her to be a bit lighter 4 times she never listened. I complained at the end at reception however they didn’t care at all. DO NOT STAY THERE

From the moment we arrived, there were numerous issues that made our experience unpleasant: 1. The air conditioning unit in our room was broken, and water was pouring out of it, soaking our clothes. This was not only inconvenient but also unacceptable. 2. The bed was in a poor state, with visible stains under the mattress cover, which raised serious concerns about cleanliness. 3. The room was visibly dirty, with a lot of dust and dirt on the woodwork, indicating a lack of thorough housekeeping. 4. Mosquitoes were a constant problem in the room, and we were bitten multiple times during our stay, making it very uncomfortable. 5. The transportation system within the property was inconvenient and inefficient, as we had to call for a bus every time we wanted to leave the room. This disrupted our plans and wasted valuable time. Based on these issues, I can confidently say that the hotel is far from deserving its advertised 4-star rating. It is disappointing to have booked a stay based on this expectation, only to encounter such substandard conditions.

Sadly the pool needed to be cleaned, there were green water marks around all of the edges.

The Room floor was absolutely filthy asked 3x times and no one came to clean. Air con was broke Ordered bikes and a call to say to pick up no one rang 3x reception they for got to ring . Manger was very good But the damage was all ready done Staff needs to Lean about how to treat the customers This is a 3 half - 4 star not a 5 star Very pore service

My bedsheets were stained and the mattress protector was also stained. The location was not very good. There is nothing within walking distance. The beach across the road doesn’t have any facilities- eg sunloungers, bar or toilets so I didn’t go. My room was right at the end of the hotel. I had to walk past an area that felt ‘back of house’ to get to the room where there were old pieces of furniture being stored and it was generally untidy. At night it was dark here and didn’t feel very welcoming. There is no mirror in the room other than the one in the bathroom. There were no hand towels in the bathroom. There were signs everywhere telling you what not to do. Eg there was a sign in the bathroom that said if you take your bath towels to the beach they would fine you. It felt unnecessary.

The staff were very helpful, friendly and polite. The room was big.

Hotel was quite huge and our room was a five minute walk from reception - but they do offer a shuttle service on their electric cart ;-)

Fabulous hotel with amazing swimming pools and facilities for kids and grown-ups alike. We stayed in ground floor with a swim-up entrance to the pool (moat) and that was a lovely aspect. Staff were super-helpful and the beach was lovely. Great place to stay with a quiet location (no nightlife as such - which is you're looking to relax is perfect. - Town is five minute tuk-tuk ride with eateries and restaurants dotted about - and not far from the airport (15 minute cab ride). Recommended for a very chilled out stay. Buffet is basic and a bit so-so, so go and eat in the a la carte restaurant or outside in the many places around serving authentic spicy and non-spicy thai food (which is cheap and amazing).
