Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomHaving returned from the Islands of Koh Pra Thong where we stayed at Mr Chuoi Hut. It was an experience! The travel over was long (1 hour in a longboat then 4x4 to hut. The hut was very basic. Slatted floors so you could see the earth and palmed walls. It was dark until you could turn on a light when the generator kicked in. The bed had a mosquito net. If you are looking for a different organic experience then come to Koh Thong and absorb the island, it was absolutely amazing. The seas were aqua blue and warm. Miles of beaches with no one sharing with you. We did escape to the Eco Resort for some delicious lunch but ate at Chuois in the evening with a beer and like minded souls who enjoy a crazy adventure. I think from booking.com it should be made known that the travel from Khura Buri to Mr Chuoi Huts is 1,500 Thai baht each way, pretty steep if you are on a budget! Mr Chuoi runs a one manned show. He is a character and his motto is ‘Me, not you!’ You have got to go to understand it all.

Germanyit was a great experience! It was very authentic, cozy and comfortabel. Mr Chuoi, picked me up from the busstation and organised a shared boot taxi. also he organised a little trip with his 4weel drive over the island. the food he and his partner Nuhi cooked was outstanding! there are a few other resorts on the island most off them are at the beach. if you don’t mind walking a few minutes to the beach and you are on a budget I would definitely choose Mr Choui!

IndiaUncle Choi and the stay is beautiful in and out. Just like the island and its beaches and people, the stay was basic but had everything you need for a slow living. Its very close to the beach and I cannot explain how much I loved doing the walk along the beaches around the hut. They also cook great food - I had fresh barracuda their friend had picked up and I'm coming back again! Had an amazing solo time here!

United KingdomNothing. It was all great, can't wait to go back.
Mr Chuoi and his set up on Ko Phra Thong was fantastic! Absolutely charming group of bamboo huts in the most peaceful place imaginable. Everywhere was so clean, and the mosquito nets over the beds meant we could sleep very well without worrying about critters. Didn't need aircon, just the fan provided - really well designed huts! Our teenage daughters loved it too. A lovely pause from the outside world. Mr Chuoi provided a much appreciated personalised service, meeting us at the pier for the long tail boat to the island then a ride in his pick up through the beautiful island to his home.

United KingdomAbsolutely Filthy. The bar and restaurant area covered in chicken shit, ants, grime, filth, bottles from previous guests, old motorbikes, petrol cans wtf???!!! The shack had a clothes line for hanging towels, no bedside table, no bedside light, no cupboard, adequate bed but no mosquito net (but at least there was netting over the window but gaps in the walls and floors so I got bitten half to death)! There was no soap (apart from an old second hand piece) in the "en-suite" and no netting in the bathroom so all the insects hung out in there lurking! And there was no lock on the door, no chairs on the balcony. And whatever else you do, don't even bother with the beach - it looks amazing in the evening but in the clear light of day it's an open sewer and your probably swimming in what you flushed down the night before and the whole beach looks like a landfill tip!!! Breakfast tea coffee sugar jars sticky Tomato ketchup jar even worse Tables and chairs just disgusting. Does anyone actually clean anything???? Empty beer bottles all over the floor that were still there when I left!
It was a real adventure. Waited at the wrong part of the pier for the ferryman but when I finally found him took a one hour longtail boat ride to god knows where and it absolutely rained buckets on the way so I got soaked to the skin but loved every minute of it (it's warm and it's wet just like the sea). Then got picked up in a beaten up old 4x4 for a half hour drive along a concrete boardwalk through a swamp into the back of beyond wondering just what in hell I signed up for (loved every minute of that too)! Eventually arrived (after the concrete disintegrated and turned into a river that then became a dirt track) at a chicken shack in a clearing in the woods with 20 old style rustic bamboo and palm leaf shacks with chickens running everywhere including the dining tables kitchen bar etc... but kinda still loved it anyway!!! But the novelty wore off when I opened the shack door!

ThailandWonderful Place, Mr. Chuoi und Nui were incredibly kind and caring. Took care of our baby, when we ate. Organized the whole travel to the island, which was a great help. We felt really good there and it was like a family. Its not a touristic resort, but a very welcoming and original home feeling stay. for everybody who wants to travel a bit besides the the normal touristic resorts. It has more the feeling of staying on holiday on a little farm close to wonderful beaches. And the food is extraordinary. We’ll come back!

United KingdomA little disappointed with the place. Nice huts but little love shown in the site. And a little expensive unless you are careful on food purchases. We loved horizon eco resort but we didn't know this till our visit to island.

RomaniaWe got a bit anxious when we arrived at the pieer because there is a modest and smelly fishermen's village. But the accomodation is not in that village so it was nothing to worry in the end.
Very authentic, nature welcoming, amaizing fresh local food and the host was super friendly. The trip from Kuraburi was very enjoyable, We also had a great time on the roadtrip from the pier to the location (aprox 20 min) in the back of the pickup van (we were 16 people) through the wild savannah scenery.

United StatesThe location was perfect, with no other resort sharing the beach, two small deserted islands right off the shore, and an easy swim or kayak away. The coral reefs and animals were astounding, the best I've seen in my life. The beaches next door were full of cute hermit crabs. The cooking is amazing, best food on the island, with entertainment in the form of a talking bird! They taught us how to cook various dishes and taught us the card game Cabu which is now a family favorite.
