Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Australia- man on front desk can sometimes come across a little unkind when trying to explain confusion. Not to me but saw it happening to other guests. Perhaps some training could be provided for a better experience, saw guests becoming upset. I’m sure he’s great but many guests commenting on demeanour. - had to book activities over 24 hours in advance, not able to join in on the activity that day despite space available. Would be excellent for this to be accommodated if space. - would be great if milk is provided for morning coffee/tea - only blanket provided no top sheet - towel is extra
- enjoyed the common area and sitting in the hammocks - mattress was comfortable and 2x pillows provided - short walk to the beach - yoga was amazing & Nora very knowledgeable - free breakfast was appreciated and made fresh for each guest - lockers big enough to fit average backpack - staff cleaned room everyday - water filter available for all - aircon great when it was turned on - cooking demo staff were excellent - beds have own light, curtains and PowerPoint - staff able to help with bookings/tours - wifi was great -room was spacious for amount of people

NetherlandsIf you’re allergic to cats (like me) you cannot really use the common spaces, I laid on the hammock for a minute and I got a reaction 😅 but that didn’t interfere with my overall experience.
Very chill place, nice people and free breakfast! Also so thankful for the free yoga. The beds were comfortable and the rooms clean. Good location near cafes, the small restaurant right in front is great!

United KingdomAbsolutely nothing.
A wonderful family run hostel with lovely people. You are welcomed in and they remember your name throughout your stay as if you are a guest in their house. They offer great facilities, a comfy hammock & bean bag lounge, an immaculate guest kitchen with free breakfast tea, coffee and cold drinking water. The dorm rooms are spacious with comfy beds, two pillows and curtains around the beds and lockers for your use. The hostel has hot showers and pristine bathrooms and communal areas, cleaned very often by the lovely ladies here. They have a lot of local knowledge and will help you book anything you need. They even offer free yoga. The vibe in the hostel is super chill. It is a five minute walk to the beach with restaurants, sunset. & fire shows. The island is large and you may want to sent a scooter to get around. I loved it here so much I extended my stay to make the most of the beautiful hospitality and island. I highly recommend this hostel.

United KingdomIt was not close to many shops and restaurants but this was my error and with a scooter to get around its fine.
The staff were so helpful and amazing and even offered to go and buy me food from the local shop when I was ill with food poisoning and had no energy. There is breakfast provided and a communal kitchen. Comfy beds and hot showers. Drinking water provided! Great social area with tables and hammocks etc. Not to mention the wonderful Yoga, which looks out over the countryside behind! Beach is only a 6 minute walk away!

Saint BarthelemyNoise coming from the street because of works on the main road at the time I've been here.. obviously not the hostel fault.
Everything was great at Non La Mer: comfortable and private bunk bed, en suite bathroom, fan and air condition in the room, tasty breakfast included in the price and prepared with love by the volunteers. The owners and staff in general always did their best to make you feel good and help with travel arrangements, recommendations etc... The common area is so cute with hammocks and cushions where you can relax and meet other travellers. The bar downstairs is managed by an amazing man who prepares the best Margaritas and create a lovely ambience perfect to hang around after a day on the beach. He also has great taste in music and we listen various times to sounds composed by him. Also yoga classes for free with a well knowledgeable and good hearted teacher. All in all totally recommended!!

United KingdomEverything was amazing - my only small comments would be that the dorm could use an extra light (as very dark in the evening), and it would be fab if towels were provided / able to be rented.
The hostel was in a great location close to many restaurants, and most importantly, across the road from the beach! If you need a moment of solace, the hammocks were some of the comfiest I have ever had the pleasure of napping in. Nora and her family were so welcoming and accommodating. Her yoga classes were also not to be missed!

GermanyBathrooms weren't cleaned regularly, sometimes no toilet paper, no towels included, street right in front of the hostel, you'll need a scooter to do grocery shopping and explore the Island etc, the waves at the beach are quite rough, the aircon will be turned off between 10am and 17pm
Very friendly and helpful staff, cool things to do across the Island but also chill, you can book tours and busses etc at the hostel, kitchen with refridgeraror and microwave, cute cats, cozy chill out area, beach 5 minutes by foot, laundry service, breakfast included (simple but okay), Yoga included (very nice), free drinking water, nice people around - all in all a cool place to stay, especially if you're looking for a more quiet place
