MalaysiaDeposit 1000 I thought it was a bit too expensive and the location is a bit inside.The mattress was the hardest I have ever slept on, and the upper bed was dangerous without a protective fence. The sound insulation was not very good, and I could even hear the shower in the next room.
The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean and the night market and 7-11 are just 5 minutes away.

Vietnam1000 Baht deposit when you get there that they don't tell you about up front (only once you make the booking). Shower wasn't very hot. Beds were very hard. We booked a room with a double bed and got a single bed pushed up against a 3/4 bed.
Staff were friendly and helpful (to the best of their English ability). Check in was quick and easy. Room was nice and dark.

GermanyWe were two people staying in the hotel room, but were only given one towel. The bathroom pipes are in such a bad condition that they smelt horribly during our stay. It made staying in the room quite uncomfortable because the stench would always be present. Also, our AC was broken. With an outside temperature of 30 degrees Celsius, it was really unpleasant. It would turn on for 15 minutes, and then turn off and not be usable for the next hour. Upon request and complaint to the receptionist it was “fixed”, only for it to turn off again after 15 minutes after being in use. In the evening, it was unbelievably warm in our room so we asked again, and then the same thing happened again. As a cherry on top, the bed was as hard as cardboard. We could not sleep well and woke up with back pain.
The location was good and the receptionists (except one) were helpful and kind.

Sri LankaI booked a stay at Noona Hotel through Booking.com and initially paid for one night. We informed the hotel via email that we intended to extend our stay until our departure. Upon arrival, we spoke with the receptionist and confirmed we would decide after checking in. After checking into the room, I returned to the front desk with my friend and informed the same staff member that we wished to extend our stay until departure, and they requested a deposit, which we paid immediately. The next morning, we went out for the day and informed a different staff member at the reception that we would settle the remaining payment once we returned after lunch. However, upon returning around 3 PM, we were shocked when the receptionist told us there were no rooms available, as they had already sold our room to another guest! We were utterly disappointed and explained that we had confirmed our extended stay the previous day and that we had already informed the receptionist in the morning that we would make the payment upon our return. The receptionist then claimed that the lady we spoke to earlier did not understand English. Despite this, we asked them to find a solution. The receptionist called the manager, but instead of helping, the manager refused to offer any resolution. Instead, we were told that the only available option was a much more expensive villa, and if we didn’t want to pay more, we should leave the hotel. To make matters worse, when we requested a refund of our deposit, they refused and indirectly pressured us to take the expensive villa, leaving us with no other choice but to stay until we found another hotel. This was, without a doubt, the worst experience I have ever had in my travels. It was not only unprofessional but felt discriminatory. The staff seemed to assume we were from India due to our skin color, but we are from the Maldives, a place known for delivering exceptional service to guests.
