- The door of the room was very basic and did not make us feel safe - We could hear the noise from the main entrance since our room was at the floor 0 and close to the entrance. Nevertheless, we heard no noise in the evening and during night - The pool could be a bit cleaner.

+ Very calm place, where you can relax at the pool and sunbath + Lovely and large room with nice garden&beach view at the balcony + The restaurant was one our highlights in this place. It is located by the beach and a very nice place to watch the sunset! We drank our best smoothies in Thailand in this restaurant (coconut smoothie was a blast!) Pad Thai, Tom Yum and Tom Kha Gai were also very delicious! We really loved sitting at the restaurant and enjoying our breakfast or dinner by the calm water + The staff are very friendly and helpful + Overall, if you want to have a relaxing holiday away from noise and crowd, this is a good place (but pay attention that the beach is not very suitable for swimming due to shallow water level)

Super friendly and helpful staff. Located exactly on the beach which is like a private, although not best for swimming, rather for chilling and kayaking. However you can use the pool witch is fabulous. We liked the breakfast a lot.

First two nights we had a different room than the one booked - on the lowest level, in the "domestic" part of the hotel, so the experience was not as great as the one on the higher level of hotel located room (that we got on the third day). Therefore always check, what you have booked :-)

Great place to relax, with wonderful view from upper-located rooms. Incredible breakfasts, very nice and helpfull stuff. Clean, always with a smile - wonderful place to stay. A little bit away from nearest town (about 15-20 minute walk by the beach) - and this also helps to forget about whole world. Hotel is quite far from the pier - always remember, that you do not have to use individual taxi for 600 baht - you can use shared one for 150 baht per person!

Many people have mentioned the distance but relative quiet of the hotel location. I agree it’s not bad because it’s so quiet and chilled there. But what should be mentioned is the sea water level. It never gets deeper than 1m and at low tide it is a mudflat. I wasn’t expecting that so was disappointed. Main Lamai beach and Chaweng beach are regular depth, going above one’s shoulders within a few steps. So if you want to swim in ocean, stay at those bigger beaches.

The sea view from room is beautiful, more so at high tide. The rooms are large and have sofa and dining table. Reception staff very helpful. Pool lovely but could have a few more shade covers. Restaurant serves tasty, reasonably priced meals and fruit drinks from 1pm. Free use of kayaks. Good price for these facilities and service.

Palm Coco Mantra is a great place to stay at Koh Samui. The rooms have a great view of the beach and the hotel is located in a more quite and nice spot. The pool is spacious and clean with enough sunbeds.

as a family with 3 small kids we liked the smaller size of this cozy hotel. kids felt really comfortable and the beach was quiet and the water shallow which we personally enjoyed. The only thing that we missed was a kids pool :-)

If I could give the staff 100 out of 10 I would! from the moment you arrive you feel right at home and the staff makes sure you will have a perfect stay - if you need a bike, taxi, laundry, or recommendations - they take care of everything and always with a smile. the sea was shallow in the evening, I went 20m ahead and the water level was knee-deep the hotel is more likely to have a quiet cozy rest, all activities are far away, and the hotel guests themselves were mostly pensioners, I didn’t even see anyone in the pool :)

More loungers needed by the pool, especially because people claim them very early in the morning. Umbrellas for the bean bags would be a good idea too. Offer ala carte breakfast for a lower rate instead of only buffet every day. It's a bit isolated (but we liked that) so be prepared for short walks to the main road or other restaurants.

Staff are awesome, especially Ong and Bow at the reception. Very helpful. Our room was large, very clean and comfortable. Everything worked. Loved sitting on the balcony in the evening listening to the waves and looking at the stars. Quiet location with many birds. Pool was lovely. Beach was good. Free kayaks. Breakfast buffet was really good as well as other lunch and dinner menu items. When the tide is low you can walk to restaurants on the beach. Good restaurants nearby including Pearl Lounge for breakfast and for other meals, Chom Ley (down the beach at low tide, have the Massaman curry!) and Kawin's Kitchen (pad Thai is amazing!). Shawnnee massage down the street is Lovely!

The standard room was a bit too small and acoustic is not the best. There's little noise from outside but you can hear people next door.
