Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GreeceEverything was great, from the room, the restaurant to the bar and cocktails, great service! We had a room with air conditioning and we had no issue with the temperature that I read in other comments. In the end, whether you will have a room with a fan or air-conditioning is a choice when selecting a room. Also EXTRA POSITIVE reflection for the resort when we got lost in the woods in the night due to returning on foot, they immediately called us, sent us photos to find the path. It was all great, I wish I could have stayed more days!!

United KingdomSteps to room were dangerous, room very basic for what we paid, area around full of rubbish, derelict buildings to both sides, behind kitchens looked dirty and unheigenic. Power cut during the night in one room so unbearable heat. The four of us checked out the following day, annoyed considering how much it cost us all in total.

TurkeyThis hotel was a nightmare! Initially, when we arrived at Phi Phi, we tried to get to the hotel with their shuttle boat but were informed that they had canceled the boat due to weather conditions. There was zero communication about this, we just found out when we were supposed to take the boat. After waiting 3 hours under the sun, they said we can take the boat now but it was crazy big waves in the sea. We wanted to cancel and get another hotel but they refused. The boat had no life jacket; they used a “cargo boat” instead of the standard long-tail boats. There was a baby in the boat and an elderly who literally had life-threatening experiences. Finally, when we arrived, we were dropped off literally in the sea above belly level. Everyone took out their phones from their pocket, holding their hands up with phones, and walked to the shore. Our luggage got soaked with seawater on the way there. Free breakfast, but you have to pay 3.5$ for a coffee. No kettle or coffee in the room of course. All the tours they sell are double the price of the center of the island. After our complaints with Booking.com, they changed the information given to guests and now they should tell more about the truth. Unless you want to get stuck in a place that tries to take all your money, and give you life threatening experience, don’t go there.

Czech RepublicIt is quite isolated place with beutiful nature , however only transportation is boats which costs 150 baht for one way. Let ‘s say it is affordable but when the return boat is latest by 17:30 it makes difficult to make to have some time in the center of island. The food at hotel restaurant is unfortunately very low quality. We ordered T-bone steaks for 3 person and it was the worst meat food that we have ever tried.Fish was relatively better. Let’s talk about the room. Facilities makes you feel very uncomfortable because such a hot place there is no air conditionig and with fans you are trying to cool yourself. The water is also very big problem . When you are showering there is very little water that you can feel that you are taking shower. Rooms are very small. When you are leaving the sea there were facilities to wash your feet but none of them was working.Briefly great staff but very low quality of services.
Great staff that tries to make you happy all the time, breakfast is quite ok.Nature is beautiful

GermanyWe normally don’t like giving bad reviews but as we saw a lot of similar reviews in google and also here it seems that many people experienced something as we did. We payed more than 11000 baht, so around 320€ for two nights, which was way too much for what you get here! Been travelling a few times to Thailand and you get incredible hotels for half the price. We wanted to take the ferry at 1:30 to get to the hotel for check in at 14:00. When we got to the pier at 1:00 they told us there would not be any ferry till 16:30, without any information why. So we messaged and called the hotel but did not really get an answer, on the phone they even just hanged up on us. Then they messaged us that they cannot take us by ferry because of the weather (sunny, no wind, a few waves). We asked other boats if they would take us to the resort and they would have done it straight away, we just didn’t do it because the price was too high for the two of us. (You can also walk but it is an hour and impossible with luggage) So finally the hotel boat got us there around 5:30 pm and we arrived at the hotel when it was low tide and no sun around anymore, for us a lost day ( planned to be there at 2pm)! The hotel did not apologize, they really did nothing and just said it was such bad weather although that was not the case, with a good boat it was absolutely no problem! The receptionist told us the day after we would not have to pay the 150 baht per person per way because of what happened (loosing half a day thanks to the hotel). When we checked out we payed the manager (I’m not sure who she was and her English was also really bad) and she was extremely ugly to us and even threatened to take the money away from the receptionist if we didn’t pay the 300 baht for the boat. Also she asked if we prefered to die???? I could go on with more details, at the end I would recommend you read the negative reviews here and on google as this seems to happen quite often.

Czech RepublicThe staff in the restaurant forgot about our drinks twice but that just happens sometimes.
To be fair, when I read the reviews before our stay, I was quite nervous about coming to a bungalow in the middle of the jungle with all the insect in the world attacking you. But it was not our experience, in the end it was 100 % better than I expected and I'm really glad we chose this type of accommodation at this beautiful beach at Phi Phi island, far away from all the buzz (and smells) of the Ton Sai pier. We got a bungalow T19 which is not that high, there are few steps leading to it. We had just one „visitor“ – green grasshopper. Yes, there are noises of the forest and maybe some monkeys were running through our balcony while we were sleeping but that's just part of it. The bungalow was super clean. The bathroom was cleaner than I saw in some hotels here in Thailand. The bed was very comfortable and the mosquito net around it makes it even cozier in the end. The room is really nice equipped, there are lot of hangers, hairdryer, four bottles of water, toilet paper and even a flashlight. The staff here is super nice and helpful. The breakfast is really nice with wide range of options and lot of fresh fruit. It includes basic coffee and tea, for more interesting options like espresso or thai ice tea you have to pay extra. We had lunch and dinner here and the prices are definitely higher than in regular restaurants but I would say it's still fair. You get there by the longtail boat from Ton Sai pier and it's quite adventurous experience by itself, make sure to wear something you don't mind if it gets wet. Even more adventurous is walking from the resort back to the pier which we experienced the day of our departure because the waves were quite high and they offered us to walk while our luggage was going by the boat. The walk takes about an hour and prepare for really steep hill right from the beggining. Overall I recommend this place 100 %, maybe next time I would choose deluxe type of bungalow, depends on the price and length of our stay.

TurkeyStuff was extremely friendly and helpful. Their restaurant is exceptional with amazing food and very good prices. I think during my 2 weeks of visiting of Thailand, I ate best food in this resort. Beach is amazing and clean. Rooms are so clean and modern. I'll come back to Thailand again for sure, and next time I'll stay in this resort longer. Thank you for everything 🙏

United KingdomRoom too basic, no air con, bed up against the wall, poor water pressure in shower, no fridge so drinking water always warm. Paid for a sea view room but when shown room T60 it was right at the top of steep dangerous steps and I was unable to get up there. They gave us a non sea view room at ground level but wouldn’t refund the difference. They should make it clear pre booking that sea view rooms are so high, and only for the fittest. The mosquito net made it difficult to sit on the bed and there were no chairs in the room. The overhanging roof on the cabins made the room incredibly dark, even during bright sunshine. The balcony outside had only a wooden bench to sit on and a plastic cushion to lie on, neither very comfortable for more than 10 minutes. Lighting poor in the bathroom, could hardly see! The second day of our stay it rained and if you can’t sit on beach there is nothing to do at the resort but sit in the restaurant/ bar, or on balcony as it is uncomfortable in the room. There is no pier at the resort so when arriving/ leaving resort on transfer boats you are climbing off boat up to your waist in water and clambering ashore. One transfer boat (long tail boat) we watched leave to take people back to Ton sai Pier was so low in the water and the engine was struggling, we feared it might sink. Advice: for a couple of nights this place is an interesting experience, but don’t book more than 3 nights, and not at all if weather is poor.
Quirky, private, good restaurant, pleasant staff, nice beach.

AustraliaWe loved the location being further away from the main town and pier. It was peaceful and just a 30 min long tail boat trip to the main pier. The on-site massages are great! Very strong ladies 😅. We went on a half day long tail boat tour for some sight seeing which was amazing! They also had a fire show one night which was cool. We stayed 3 nights and wished we stayed a couple more as it was beautiful and relaxing. The bungalows are really cute, definitely bring insect repellent. All the food at the restaurant was delicious, and the buffet breakfast was nice. A little smaller compared to some other buffet breakfasts but there is a mix of western and Thai food and we enjoyed it and were very satisfied! All the staff were very lovely

AustraliaSmoking allowed in restaurant, where you are forced to eat every meal - this is terrible especially for children. Sewerage facilities near huts at the end created bad smell and ugly. Very expensive room located there. Also we stayed another night but they didn’t clean our room. No fridges in rooms despite having no access to shops, obviously to force use of bar/restaurant.
Nice beachside location, far from disgusting centre of Phi Phi

United KingdomThe only downside is the room doesn’t have air conditioning so it felt a bit difficult to relax in the evenings/night time as it was so hot. It was also difficult to keep the mosquitos away. But this is not the resorts fault - they provided everything they could to make it as comfortable as possible.
The location was the true highlight of the stay - it couldn’t have been in a better spot - the beach was paradise and the resort itself is well away from Tonsai, which is chaotic. The staff were an absolute delight and couldn’t have done more to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Also, the food was delicious. Also, make sure you do the viewpoint walk. It’s difficult, but only takes 30 mins and is worth it for the reward at the end (2nd picture attached).

FranceThe resort is remote so if you want to get somewhere you either have to depart from the tonsai pier which is inconvenient or depart from the resort which is a bit more expensive. But we really loved being isolated just be aware that it has a cost!
Staff, they were extremely helpful and they organised all activities according to weather tide.... so we could make the most of it. Location, the central part of the island is crowded but the resort is located apart which makes it a real heaven, extremely safe for families. Finally massages....
