Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThis hotel is supposed to be a 3-star hotel. What a joke. First of all, 30 minutes walk from the city centre but it's almost impossible to walk especially at night, my husband and I got stuck into a muddy dark road in the middle of nowhere. The resort could offer a transport to the main village, but there are TWO transfers: 8am and 1pm. The rest of the day you rely on expensive transfers (so please add at least 300 bath per person per day when staying here). Well, but then you could simply stay at the resort, right? Well, the restaurant is a joke: terrible food and expensive. Not surprisingly it's a 3.3 out of 5 at google reviews. The beer, for example, is almost. two times of the restaurant nearby. So if you are staying for your meals, walk a bit and go to the two restaurants nearby. The breakfast is terrible and they charge if you want different coffee (e.g espresso, cappuccino). I stayed in hotels paying 1/3 of the price and could choose from a range of different eggs and here I am charged if I don't the disgusting coffee the serve. There's no wi-fi signal! It simply does not work, nowhere in the resort! And the 'gold final': the rooms are ridiculous far and they CHARGE for room service! Phi Phi is magical and staying here can spoil your experience!
The beach in front of the hotel is stunning! And it's the ONLY THING good about this place.

BrazilWe went to the center and came back over 11pm but it was raining. The taxi boat could not leave us at the hotel because of the rain, so the boat left us 10 minutes walk before the hotel. The problem was that the way until the hotel was dark and covered by water. We coundn't get to the hotel. We found another couple in the same situantion. A local guy appeared with his moto and took us to the hotel.. If he didn't appered there, we coudn't get to the hotel. Any moment at our check in or anywhere else, we were informed that we couldn't get to the hotel if it rained. I checked out after my first night and went to another hotel.
I had a big problem in my first day and they did not help me. Also they were not open to talk about refound.

SpainThere were a few important things that didn’t go well at all: - The infinity pool was closed, which was one of the reasons why we picked this hotel. We didn’t know, and no one told us that until we saw it. Very disappointing. - One of the days of our stay we were going diving and kindly ask if they could prepare some take away breakfast for us, as we had to be in the main town at 7.30 am. They told us not to worry as breakfast would be ready for when we were leaving the hotel (around 6.45h to leave hotel at 7h). When we went to have breakfast, nothing was ready and we had to go diving without having breakfast. To compensate us for their mistake, we were offered a late check out for free, which in our opinion was vert insufficient.
Location in the beach is nice, but be ready to walk 30min through the beach + jungle to get to the main town or pay a fortune for a long tail (100-150 tbh per person on daylight or 250 thb at night). Room was comfy and very clean, free minibar. Also they provided free shuttle to the hotel on the day of check in and to the pier on the check out date.

United Kingdomlocation was a pain - trying to get back from Tonsai after 2200 didn’t happen so we had to walk - it’s a 45 min to 60 minute walk. The rooms are on a hillside and if you get back late, reception is shut and you have to find your way back - a lack of signs and lighting made this a challenge. breakfast was average and tasteless and the food over all not that good. we walked down to the hotel at the end of the bay (paradise…) and had a much batter meal that was fairly priced. real shame that we didn’t want to eat in our own hotel !! our room was tired and in poor repair - I was really disappointed to be honest as the web site has been made to make this place look far better than it is. lots of flies by the beach which made relaxing a challenge. would I come back - no.
it’s hard to qualify what I liked about the property as it was average at best. Tired, run down, poorly maintained, awful beach loungers and sitting matts - pool, just average.

GermanyThe resorts looks unkept and somehow abandoned. It’s a really weird vibe. The beach and the hotel premises are dirty, cats are everywhere and begging for food. Hotel Staff doesn’t really care about anything and communication is really bad, you don’t feel welcomed or valued as a guest. We left after two days and nobody asked why we were leaving early…
Free Mini-Bar, clean rooms, okay Breakfast (very limited vegetarian options though)

AustraliaThe staff were very unfriendly and unwelcoming from the first day to the last. Food quality, quantity and price in their beach restaurant is almost laughable. Their breakfast was the worst (we spent three days eating bread and butter), food wasn’t nice, only one option for vegetarians (cold and watery scrambled or fried eggs). The room was not clean at all! The beds had bed bugs and we left with many bites on our bodies. The bedding was yellow and had what looked like ketchup stains? If you’re thinking about staying here, add another 1000bht per person per day for transportation from and to phi phi town, if you can even get a long tail boat. They promise free long tail boat transportation to and from town but you still have to pay. For what we paid per night (~$US 100), I can say that it was a total waste of money. Definitely will not be going back here again.
Nothing but the view in the room, which isn’t as nice when you take into account the other bad stuff that come with this resort.

UkraineThe hotel is situated right in front of the pier, but the taxi boat cannot park there due to the waves. They stop at the other beach(Loh Moo Dee, twice the price) and from there you take the free transfer. The staff is not interested to help you, I mean not at all. We had minor knee injuries(not from here though) and had to visit hospital every day, which is located at the main pier, and we couldn’t get in the water for the same reason. We informed about that the receptionist and asked what activity we can do without getting wet. She advised us a tour, and the next day after paying we were standing on the beach, with boat driver shouting from 15-20 meters that we should swim a little because his boat couldn’t park closer due to the tide. At least we got our money back. After asking how to get to the hospital without using boat transfer the receptionist suggested us walking route through beach, mountains and jungles, which was not very safe and took us around 1.5 hours due to our injuries with about 30 meters of ascending/descending couple times. On the next day taxi boats weren’t working due to big waves and we asked how we will checkout and reach our ferry if the weather stays like this. Suddenly we found out they can provide taxi service almost to the main pier(by 4x4 car through mountain road). On regular days however they don’t provide it, maybe because the boat costs twice as much. There is no hospital or medical center near the hotel, so you’d better not get into any emergency here, as the road depends on weather conditions. There were 2 more people also trying to get to the main pier so they finally agreed to take us there and back. There was also funny situation when somebody called us around 10pm from the restaurant trying to get money for the bill that was already paid, because some of their staff messed with some checks.
The room was clean enough, they do cleaning every day. If you get a room high in the mountains you can be lucky to spot wild monkeys around 4-5pm, so get some bananas. There is also a free transfer around the hotel territory(between bungalows and the beach, as it’s quite steep road), just ask the receptionist. The beach is nice and there are enough sunbeds, nice territory and couple pools. There are also a lot of cute cats walking around so you can share a part of your breakfast, which is good enough and tasty.

AustraliaThe resort looked very tired & really needs maintenance. On entry there is a swimming pool filled with old, dirty water that requires repair. The bed was super uncomfortable - like sleeping on a board. There was no internet in our room. Its a long walk into town about 20 minutes and the boats do not always run. It is impossible to walk at night.
The staff were lovely - especially in the restaurant! It had a nice little beach which they kept clean (unlike the rest of the islands beaches which were filthy)

IrelandThe only thing I can think of is that the little houses are located on a hill so it took us bit of a climb to walk down to the restaurant or the beach especially walking back up. But the view is worth it.😊
The beach that the resort is located at is absolutely stunning. The location is much quieter than Tonsai village which is perfect if thats what you prefer. The taxi boat to the pier only costs around 300 baht if you wish to go sightseeing or go to other restaurants etc. The little wooden house that we stayed in had a fantastic view and was very clean. The food at the restaurant is very reasonably priced and was very tasty compared to some of the other resorts we stayed in during our 3 weeks trip in Thailand.

ThailandThe place is overpriced so much, the accommodation is very old and tired. They tell you it’s free minibar in the room ( couple of soft drinks) and then charge you extra 50 baht for room service (why not include in the price?) and bring the beer without any bottle opener. The food is not tasty at all. Villa had a weird smell, was full of termites and I woke up next to a cockroach on the pillow. The place is secluded and you gotta use the taxi boats a lot if you want to get around and explore. The terrace that you see on the pictures gets extremely hot during the day, you can’t step on the floor and sunbeds don’t have any cushions and totally useless in the end. I would understand this for 50$ a night, but not almost 200$. Really disappointing.
The beach and view from the room is nice. The restaurant staff is really friendly.

IndiaIn addition to what I wrote above I would like to place on record that the spas, tail boat and tours booked at this resort needs to be paid in cash and cannot be charged to the room ( I find this extremely strange and haven’t encountered this at any other Thailand resort but may be it isn’t). Also each time you need to go to withdraw / exchange cash you need to go to the town for which the tail boat guy charges 100 baht per person one way. Definitely needs improvement on integrating these services with the hotel and not work in silos which it is currently.
Location 9/10, Room 7/10, hospitality 6/10 Location : this resort is secluded from the hustle bustle of the town. You get a tail boat ride to the resort Room: when we checked in the room there was a foul smell in the bathroom. After complaining our room was instantly changed. The room had a beautiful view. However, we struggled with cockroach, lizard and creepy crawlies in the room. Hospitality: Considering that this is a secluded resort and benchmarking against all my other stays in Thailand ( and also considering I paid the highest at this property) I expected much better in hospitality. It was a mixed bag - the restaurant and reception is very polite. However, the tour operators are extremely rude and don’t even provide suggestions ( you are all on your own). The shuttle drivers to the room were also extremely rude. We checked in at a partial sea view room which is an uphill climb to the highest level and considering their behavior we felt extremely guilty even asking for one. One shuttle driver even said “Go walking”. I would prefer much accommodating drivers specially when you live at a place wherein you see scorpions in the restaurants, people getting bit by centipede - that’s the last thing that any one would need on a trip to get sick with a bite. I really expected better and they have the potential only if they focus on the hospitality
