Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

DenmarkOur first room (410, booked via another service) was very run down, with a smell of sewage in the bathroom. The second room (310) was better, but the shower head was broken. It seems that preventive maintenance isn’t performed (at least in high season). Shark Point brings a lot of day-trippers on longtails, so it can get quite crowded.
The views from the huts can be great, but you should be aware that the climb is STEEP if you decide to walk yourself from the beach area (5-10 min max). The reef (Shark Point) is quite nice at high tide, but bring reef shoes if you want to go out in low tide! Long Beach is great. Walk further down at low tide.

United StatesThere are few food options on this area of the island and the shuttle offered by the hotel makes it difficult to get to and from the town. The bed was very uncomfortable, both the mattress and the pillows are extremely firm, not at all what I expected to find at this hotel.
Beautiful view, beautiful beach, great place to watch the sunset. Breakfast was good.

United KingdomOne issue to consider is location!! It is located pretty far out and phiphi is a walking town so if you're interested in being isolated from the island then stay if not it may not be suitable. We walked 45m down dark roads to reach the viewpoint wasn't the most pleasant walk.
Super!

AustraliaNothing about the staff or resort itself. Obviously it is a resort on the quiet side of the island so if you want to go into town you need to catch a longboat but we loved this and they’re easy to get.
The villa was beautiful, metres from the beach, clean and air conditioned. The staff here were so friendly and helpful and made everything really easy. Such a relaxing holiday would highly recommend.

ItalyPlease be aware that you need to be prepared to co-live with wildlife in this resort, especially with lizards that are constantly present in the room and they even make noise at night. We had also the pleasure to be visited by a little snake on the tree of our terrace, however it looks like these are very common in Thailand and are harmless to humans.
- The relaxed atmosphere - The very attentive and smiley staff. I think the staff is very hardworking, as they work from morning for breakfast until the evening for dinner and to tidy the beach and sun beds for the following day. Also, they run up and down the hill with the tuk- tuk to bring guests to their room and to deliver luggages, always with a smile. So I don’t understand previous reviews, where people said that the staff is rude?!?! - The beach was clean, organised and perfect for snorkelling. - Breakfast was ok, we liked the food at the restaurant too even if a bit pricey. - We booked the honeymoon room and we had a stunning view, as shown in the picture.

United KingdomThe beach furniture was unnecessarily uncomfortable and grubby. This hotel could be so much better by improving the sun beds on the beach with some nice cushions and getting rid of the broken and dirty plastic chairs. The bar and eating areas are nice and the snorkelling is great but let down by the way the beach furniture looks. The hotel had left up Christmas and valentines decorations which looked tatty considering it was the end of February by the time we stayed. My main dislike was the beach where the snorkelling area is so small that it feels too concentrated. There is the shark point but to get there you need to navigate the frequent noisy long tail boats coming in and out and it seemed too dangerous for us to swim it. If the roped off area included shark point and made the long tail boats go out further rather than buzzing past the hotel every minute that would be better. The hotel was quite hectic and at times it was difficult to get served in the beach restaurant area. The hotel could make loads more money by improving the beach furniture so it was a bit more glamorous and comfortable and you could have waiters offering drinks to people sitting on the beach rather than relying on the customers to try and flag them down or go to the bar themselves. Phi phi is an amazing island with such lovely waters. I just think this hotel could have capitalised a lot more on what was natural to the area that people have come for.
The hotel consists of some beautiful bungalows nestled into the hills giving you a fabulous view over the beach and out to sea. The visuals of phi phi are stunning with crystal clear turquoise water and white coral sand. The best thing about this hotel was the snorkelling area which was right on the beach where you could see a variety of tropical fish without swimming out too far. I’m concerned about how sustainable this is with people swimming with sun creams on in such a small roped off area constantly with the wildlife living so nearby. I don’t know if it is doing damage to the sea life. I really hope not because it was really wonderful. The bungalow was comfortable with a big soft bed, some free drinks in the mini bar, nice rain shower and terrace with a gorgeous view I couldn’t get enough of! It is a bit of a hike into town but it was possible to do it without paying for a long tail boat. There is a small shop, bar and restaurants nearby which was good. There is scuba diving which we didn’t access so can’t rate that.

RomaniaDouble room is not properly insulated, you hear guests from your room like they are in the same room, which becomes very problematic with noisy neighbours. The door was not closing properly, leaving space for geckos to get inside the room.

DenmarkThe balcony was very unstable and not very safe. The wooden columns supporting the balcony were rodden and on some of the surrounding bungalows, the balconies had already collapsed. In general the hotel is worn down and needs alot of attention in the nearest future. The pool was closed for two days, wich is a shame when visiting with kids.
Liked the beach and the possibility of snorkeling rigth outside the hotel.

PortugalThe fact that you had to walk a bit to get to the beach and the lizards in the room, they were a few sometimes, which I didn't enjoy as I have reptile phobia.
I think the room was amazing! The view was stunning, the room was always very clean, and they provided us with some small snacks on our first day. The location is perfect with a nice beautiful beach far away from the craziness in Phi Phi island. The food was great and a fair price considering that we are in Phi Phi island.

United StatesThe king bed was 2 beds pushed together. The mattress was extremely firm which I thought I wouldn’t like, but somehow was very comfortable for me. The food at the restaurant was not good for dinner but there is a great option down the beach.
We loved seeing the beautiful view from our room. The beach chairs set up under the big shade trees were lovely. They provide very nice beach towels. Lots of choices in the breakfast buffet.

United KingdomCan't think of anything we didn't like, just a perfect place to visit for a relaxing place.
It was an excellent hotel it felt like you were in paradise. The food was reasonably priced and to an excellent standard we really enjoyed our stay here for 3 nights. We wished we'd stayed longer if we we're to travel to Thailand again we would return to this hotel on Phi Phi Island again. Highly recommended to anyone to give it a try as you won't be disappointed.
