Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

SpainThe key snapped when trying to enter the room and the hotel manager/owner instantly became aggressive and rude in his mannerisms towards us - telling me it’s my fault and not trying to help or solve the problem ( photos attached ), i didn’t even know it was possible to snap a key! he did not have a spare key to the hotel even tho we payed 1000 baht for a key deposit which he kept 800baht because of the key. After coming up with no solutions, i suggested if he had somewhere we could store our bags for the night, he eventually agreed and proceeded to tell us the consequences if we were to touch anything in the area where we were to store our bags. The following day we had no key which meant no electricity in the room and having to leave our bags in the room unlocked as there was no sign or any staff until we returned from our boat trip that afternoon. We were still charged full price for the room. As two young girls we did not feel safe staying there after this as the attitude towards us was extremely unpleasant and uncomfortable. The room was also not ready on time even tho we arrived 2 hours after the check in time. Would not recommend.
The location was great, very central. The atmosphere in the restaurant downstairs was good with the live music.

ThailandThey never came to clean our room once in 5 days. They told us not to use our AC during the day. We had to because it was too hot if it wasn’t staying on since it took hours to cool down. They also charged us 1000 baht to replace the key which is insane when we have paid 200 baht at other places before. One of the staff members was very sweet but the lady was quite rude. There is no reception desk so there’s no one around to help before 11am when the restaurant opens and after about 11pm.

CanadaOur room was very small, dark, dirty, hot water didn’t work. Rooms are not cleaned until you checkout. We notified the owner about the hot water and he said he would look into it (nothing changed) Upon our second night our A/C broke and started flooding the room with water. We went to the lobby to try and come to a solution, the owner started YELLING at my husband over the phone saying we broke the air conditioner. Not willing to compromise at all we ended up having to book a new hotel and cancel our last night. They said we would be refunded for the night we didn’t stay.. but of course still no refund. We met another couple in the lobby trying to complain about the same things! Absolutely awful and unprofessional experience!!!
Location is the only good thing about this property.

United KingdomThe room was dirty, the shower water smelt when running. The covers were dirty. The rooms and hallways are extremely dark too. The female members of staff and manager on check out was rude and unhelpful the rest of the male staff were lovely. The WiFi is absolutely shocking too. Would never stay there again and wont be recommending to friends who are travelling later in the year.
The location was perfect, close to both beaches and in the middle of the town. Will definitely be back to Koh phi phi.
