How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The bathrooms could have been swept and cleaned more thoroughly due to there being sand but this is only minor.
Great hostel! All the staff were really friendly and accommodating to any needs. Good value for travellers on a budget and good location.

In the women's room enough space for my personal belongings. The air conditioning was adjustable. Cleaning of common areas several times a day. Two refrigerators available, I had no problem having my drinks and watermelon in there.

Gave appearance of being very clean - but there was a plaster in the shower for 3 days I was there… cleaners need to be more rigorous with their deep cleans, especially with so many beds using the showers…
Lives up to the name. Very chic and stylish lobby and rooms, and big beds with very high ceilings so feels incredibly spacious. Beds extremely comfy, and each with its own lockable cupboard at the foot of the bed so you can access your things without leaving bed - very well designed.

There wasn't much space between the beds and the lockers but it didn't matter.
The staff were so welcoming and kind, the communal spaces were huge, the breakfast and the cocktails were good, and there was a little patio out front where one could sit. The bathroom was big and clean and there was plenty of hanging spaces out back for wet clothes. I really loved it here.

Super nice bed at the hostel with nice bedding! I love the little cotton blanket! The locker and shelf had everything I needed. The bathroom was huge and clean! The whole building was quite large and impressive! There’s a restaurant in the front and lots of seating everywhere. Great location off the super busy walking street. Super short walk to the beach!

Unfortunately lacking in social atmosphere and the hostel was quite expensive for what it offered. There is a common area, but the pool table costs money, and no one really hangs out there, so it’s not ideal for solo travelers looking to meet people. That said, if you’re after a quiet and comfortable stay, it’s a solid choice.
A very comfortable hostel. The rooms have bunk beds with curtains for privacy, and the mattresses are really comfortable. The aircon works well, and the bathrooms are clean with good showers. The location is great—close to the main walking street but in a quiet area. The staff were friendly, and breakfast was available for an extra charge.

Nothing. Everything was great !
Great location, admirable management of this nice and clean hostel that feels like a high-level hotel. Clean rooms with large bed sections (with personal locked box inside the bed section) and respect rules enforced. Friendly staff and nice food : I shall recommend 100% !

Shared dorms were a quite tight.
Clean hostel in an ideal location. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Large communal area to relax, eat and play pool in. Would definitely recommend if staying in Koh Lipe.

Toilets were not cleaned often enough. People were queuing for showers. Only meat choices for breakfast!

Didn't really enjoy the air-conditioning as it was sometimes too cold or too hot. Would be great if ceiling fan was installed. Or maybe it is just myself incompetent in using the facility.
Like the location of the hotel as it is not the center and busy area. Night is relatively calm and quiet. Opposite hotel is an eatery and convenient store is just walking distance. The breakfast was awesome and in very huge portion. Staffs are super helpful and it was a wonderful place to stay.

For some reason not very easy to make friends at this hostel.
