The resort is located at the bottom of a hill that looks a bit landslide-prone in my opinion. The "honeymoon suite" is perched at the top of a 63-step staircase and the railing doesn't go all the way down. At 77 y.o I had to be careful. When this option was offered to me, in exchange for a beach-front villa (with a 1000bht discount off the total price of the stay), I was told there would be just a few steps to climb! This said, the room is comfortable, comes with a jacuzzi and commands a nice view but is it legal? Just wondering.

The resort is on a very clean beach. The swimming pool is idyllic. The whole place feels new and clean. There are a few steps to the individual nests (rooms), but nothing difficult. We literally had the resort to ourselves, so staff service was superb. There is nothing around the resort at all, which is no problem as long as you are happy to eat there. The food was of a good standard, though expensive for Thailand. Chumphon is not on the major tourist trail. This resort certainly rivals those in Koh Tao and Koh Samui. A great location for a few days of chilling!

Booking process - booked 2 twin rooms with extra bed - after booking, told there was only one twin, plus room with a king size bed. In room that had 1 adult and 2 children under 12, had to pay for 3 adults and initially asked to pay extra again for one of children. Was sorted before arrival. Expensive for Thailand. Extra bed had to be requested again on arrival - was a mattress on the floor. Safe in both rooms did not work. Man who tried to mend them couldn't. Only outdoor dining - air con room needed for hottest times and evening when there were large mosquitos. Personal preference - when so much delicious Thai fruit, would have liked more fruit juice options at breakfast- just orange juice. Not a place for the infirm. Steps everywhere. 33 from our room to the dining area, then more to pool and beach. To give The Nest credit, we were warned when we booked. Yet despite the hitches, our group had a lovely time there and hope to return.

Stunning location. Beautiful views towards islands. Enjoyed watching the sunrise. Lovely infinity pool with jacuzzi jets and children's area, right beside the beach. Friendly, helpful staff. Our waitress was outstanding. Spacious, well equipped rooms that were spotlessly clean and had lovely views from the balcony. Interconnecting rooms perfect for our group. Excellent WiFi - important for our boys. Good breakfast. Freshly cooked Thai and Western food.

Our beach bungalow was adorable and we had a stunning view out of the window of the beach. The food was great too served by friendly and attentive staff.

It's quite secluded, so you're depending on the restaurant, which is a bit pricey for Thai circumstances. I also came in a season with certain currents, which meant the beach was covered in trash - reality check!!! You could hardly walk on the beach, and I just wanted to grab a (million) bag(s) and clean it. I understand why they don't clean it, cuz once you finished, you can start all over again - mission impossible! Im sure they clean it after the currents change. It's really hard to see, but it was also a wake-up call to stop using so much plastic!

The BED: it looked like heaven, smelled like heaven, and felt like heaven! With a view on the beach! Very big rooms, very comfy, very clean! Staff was exceptionally wonderful, food was very good!
