How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The doors were very loud when going in. They would beep for too long and this could be heard across the entire floor

Not for light sleepers. The hostel is above a few kareoka bars, and you can hear everyone in the hallways.
Super comfy beds and pillows. Lots of food around.

There's not much around the hostel, just some weird Thai KTVs.
Everything was clean. Amazing price for a private room closeish to the center/khaosan. Staff was friendly and helpful.

It's not a social-party hostel which is perfect if you want to be antisocial. There is a metro station around 15 minutes walk away, but it is near the end of the blue line. There are bus routes 3 minutes away, but I didn't use them. Can get noisey with the karaoke bars on the same street which could be a problem for light sleepers.
Excellent value for money. Really comfortable bed with nice quality bedding. Air conditioning in the room was perfect and a good solid WiFi connection. There are washing and drying facilities as well as a massage place next door at good prices. McDonald's and a 7-11 is also about 3 minutes away.

Really small rooms, no windows and very very noisy. For me it felt a bit like a prison room.

Lots of stairs.
Great small twin room. Very comfy beds, and air con. Good showers and toilets never having to wait. 10 min walk from MTR and 10 mins in taxi/grab to the Koh San road. Indy market was a locals market close by ended up visiting twice

There’s not much I didn’t like
We have stayed here twice, it’s been one of the cheapest but nicest place we have stayed in Bangkok.We got a private room and although it’s just a bed and no fridge ect… it was very clean and exactly what we needed.Shared bathrooms were very clean too and good community area downstairs to chill.Highly recommend if your looking for a budget friendly place to stay

In booking it was writing there is a minibar but they dont have. Room was too small but it was okay for me
It is a good clean bed with a chair and mirror. It was good. They let me spend time in social areas until check-in time which was nice

I wasn't happy with the noise coming from some of the teenagers staying here at times but thankfully I had brought my ear plugs and managed to get a good night sleep.
Despite first impressions of area I really enjoyed staying in the the Tuk Tuk Hostel the area and the people are great it is within walking distance to the Metro at Bang Yi Khan and you can pretty much go anywhere from there . I was kindly given a room upgrade on arrival and I was delighted to find a great massage place on the ground floor where I went practically everyday . I highly recommend the Hostel and Rose massage .

Location isn't great -- far from all attractions. I had an event in Pinklao so it worked for that, but it is even a 15-minute++ walk to MRT. Rooms are tiny and a bit claustrophobic, but serviceable.
Clean, efficient, extremely cheap, good staff who wanted to help. Nice common area that was air-conditioned. Kept very clean by staff. Bathroom was okay.

- tried to check in one hour earlier at 1:00 pm was asked to pay 200 bhat. Waited in the reception until 1:45 then allowed to check in. - cleanliness of toilets could be improved.

Wished it had a locker, no plugs near bed and some paint peeling off the sealing.
Ac was amazing, beds comfy with nice duvet and pillow. Snooker and air hockey downstairs as well as work/dinner area) not too far from Khao san road. Left key out for us since we arrived at 4am!
