Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe hotel is a bit far from the airport though a MRT station/Highspeed Rail Station is nearby. I would recommend to take taxi from TPE Airport directly if travelling with heavy luggage. No restaurant on site but can be compensated with easy Uber Eats/Foodpanda delivery service.
The room was well-equipped with USB chargers and various light controlling panel, which enabled refined adjustment of light when sleeping. The bed was super comfy with well-insolated room. The snack/drink bar provided lots of options 24 hours, which suited perfectly for us arriving late after a cross-continental flight. The bathroom/shower was spacious and so enjoyable.

IndonesiaCompact and comfortable, my room at Alfar Hotel was ideal for a one-night stay ahead of an early morning flight at nearby Taoyuan International Airport. It was smartly designed given the limited space available, and I managed to sleep very well. Situated in a quiet suburban residential area, the property is less than 10 minutes' walk from Linghang Station on the Taoyuan Metro.

FranceIt is not directly linked to the MRT that leads to the airport.
I was looking for a hotel near the Taoyouan airport with a bit of greenery to walk around and near restaurant and public transport. This hotel is in front of a lake. The Taouyouan HSR station is 10 minutes walk. You have to take a taxi if you carry luggage, it is easy to find. An outlet mall is just 10 min walk with a lot of restaurants.

SingaporeOne minor note before booking is to check the facing of the rooms. One side is facing a construction site, which can be slightly noisy (but not exceptionally noisy). Rooms facing the lake may be better.
The property is very clean, convenient, well-maintained. They also provide beverages, biscuits and sweets for guests. Ms Debbie Wang is exceptional, she provides excellent food recommendations, and is also able to anticipate our questions and needs. She makes us feel very welcome, and we have really enjoyed our stay here.

SingaporeThe shower and toilet are separated and sink is in the main room . Not used to the layout but does not pose a big problem since it’s only 1 night. No restaurant inside the hotel but option to walk out for food Pillows a little soft.
Stayed for 1 night for next day early flight. 10 mins taxi ride to taoyuan airport for about 400TWD. Less than 10 mins walk to premium outlets Quiet surroundings. Room is a bit small but very clean & looks new. Big tv. Staff are helpful. Free snacks and beverages are bonus.

United StatesFriendly staff except one who stopped me for no reason while I walked by the counter in the afternoon. She quizzed me as if I was an intruder and asked me for the room number. I had not ever been insulted like this way.
It’s a new facility with great view, quiet street, and easy access to public transportation.

SingaporeWanted to make coffee and realised there was no sugar and creamer and no spoon in the room. Volume of TV has been set to very low, likely not to disturb the guests in other rooms that are really close.

SingaporeThe space was so cramped in the room, especially if you are travelling with a young child and requested for a cot. There literally was no walking space. We booked the hotel due to its proximity to Taoyuan HSR Station but truth is its about 15 to 20 mins wall so not ideal when travelling with luggage. lastly, its located in a residential area so there aren't any food or amenities around so do take note when arriving late from the airport. There is a 7-11 within 2 mins walking distance though.
It feels and looks modern, and is quite obvious that it's relatively new. There is also a dining area at Level 1 where you can eat your snacks or meals bought outside. The hotel provides free flow coffee, tea, snacks, beer (for those who drink).
