Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaHad some issues with electricity, lights turning on and off randomly. Only happened the first night though and not the second.
Very interesting aesthetic, amazing location right next to Pier 2 art district, and super helpful staff.

TaiwanOverpriced. For the price, the room is small, there is no special service or facilities offered by the hotel, no parking (not even offer to book with nearby private parking lots), check-in after 3 PM with check-out before 11AM. This would be perfectly acceptable on budget 3-star hotels.
Excellent location, good cleanliness, nice staff. Smooth check-in/check-out services. It is a good place if you don't mind overpaying in exchange for a good location.

TaiwanThe room was small, only 17 sq. meters, most of the room was occupied by a bed. I stayed at the hotel at the end of August, breakfasts were in the neighboring building of the hotel, with terrible queues (although the employees worked flawlessly).
Functional hotel in a very convenient location, near the stop of the Kaohsiung tram (light rail)) and Pier #2. No service claims. Nice modern design, nice view from the window.

United StatesA bit lacking for good food in the immediate block the hotel itself is on, but that’s a minor issue given how close it is to the pier.
After a long long long day of train travel from Alishan, this was the perfect place of comfort back at a lower elevation! The bed is more “regular soft” as opposed to many Taiwan hotels that tend to have much firmer beds. Very quiet, LAUNDRY, and the greatest staff! YouBike station right across the street is a real plus to access the entire area.

AustraliaYou can hear all the noise even you’re at level 8 The ac is shit, outside the room were way cooler than our room in the morning. There was sparking at the power point when we plug in the hairdryer and hairdryer is very dusty. I can hear the room nearby us was making their bed or do the curtains! For the price we paid, definitely not worth it!

United KingdomNot a problem but for your information there's no breakfast and a lot of the nearby cafes didn't open until 9am on Saturday. There is coffee available at the hotel though 😊
Very convenient location near Pier 2 and the mrt (can get from HSR, can easily get to the ferry for Cijin Island, can take light rail to other parts of the city or youbike). Clean, comfortable, easy check in, nice bathroom.

GermanyThe air in the room smelled bad, like moist. And the beds are big but not suitable for two persons, as the entire bed moves every time when one person slightly moves.
Very close to the nice art pier and to public transport.

United KingdomUnfortunately, our stay fell short of expectations. The hotel has a very strict check-in policy, with no flexibility for early arrivals. This left us waiting in a very small, dark reception area until 3 pm, which was not an ideal start so we decided to walk around in the heat even though we were already tired after travelling. Upon checking in, we were disappointed to find that our “deluxe” room was the smallest on the floor. It felt cramped, especially as my boyfriend is 6’2” and we had a lot of luggage. Peeking into other rooms confirmed we’d been given the tiniest option. When we asked for a room change, we were told we’d need to pay extra for a family room, which was frustrating given the circumstances. The room itself had some concerning issues—the sheets smelled unpleasant, the single pillow was old and flat, and I felt itchy throughout the stay, raising concerns about cleanliness. The overall experience was compounded by unfriendly reception staff. Upon checkout, the lobby was overcrowded with nowhere to sit, prompting us to leave for the airport an hour earlier than planned. Overall, this was a disappointing experience, and I wouldn’t choose to stay here again.
The location.

Thailand-
The hotel is very cheap compared to the location. A large, spacious room with a work desk and views of Kaohsiung city. The staff provide good service and have a self-check-in service. Clean room, good equipment, good service, everything, big bed. The location is close to the light rail and subway.
