Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaOur room was tiny! If you have 2 large suitcases, it will be a struggle to have both open at the same time. Not sure the balcony added any value really. No balcony chairs to sit on. Only some fresh air to be let in (but a window could do the same). You would also want to be very familiar with the person you are staying with. The bathroom is centimeters away from the bed. 2 nights here was enough. The room is just too small to have any decent length of stay.
The hotel is a short walk from Ximen Station (Exit 1) and is easy to get to / from the airport. You are on the perimeter of all the action in Ximen. The rooms are modern and clean. USB and UCB ports near the bed and table. Wifi is excellent. Filtered water available on every second floor and lobby. Fresh fruit at check in desk. Breakfast voucher was decent. MOS Burger has a number of options and Louisa Cafe also. We accidentally went to the other Orange Hotel (which is 100m away) and they kindly walked us to our one. Obviously this happens a lot.

AustraliaLaundry is only open until 9pm, and the water dispenser is only on certain floors. (No water bottles in the room).
Great location - 4 min walk to exit #1 at Ximending Station and one stop away from Taipei Main Station. Despite being small, it was really clean and the colour palettes in the room were really aesthetically pleasing. Laundry was also free so that was a bonus! Also appreciated the bidet in the bathroom and strong shower head. Definitely will come again.

PhilippinesThe beds can be improved I think for a more comfortable sleep but it’s not so bad, could be improved. Also having a breakfast in the hotel would be a huge plus instead of going out to another location for the breakfast. They don’t provide you with toothbrushes but it’s okay cause they’re eco friendly.
The location is superb, near the ximending shopping area but also in a quiet street. The building is new so most of the rooms are new, sound proof as well, the staff was very helpful checking in and checking out was a breeze. Will definitely stay here again in the future.

NetherlandsThe room was small, no place to put your luggage bag even, and for coffee/tea you would need to go to another floor. It reminded of an expensive hostel. Next time for this money we would prefer staying in another hotel. The late check-out was not possible even for a few hours, and there is no luggage storage, your bags will stay by the reception. The balcony had no chairs and we never used it because there was no view.
The room is very small, but functional, it was clean. Snacks are provided and we used the laundry (you need to pay a little for detergents). The staff were kind.

SingaporeThe room was very small. For a similar amount, you could stay in a room twice the size elsewhere. Breakfast is not provided in the hotel; instead, they give you a voucher to eat at Most Burger or two other nearby places.

PhilippinesThe walls are thin. I can hear my neighbors opening and closing their doors, dragging their chairs, and opening of their faucet. It was terrible. 😫
The location. It is near Ximending, just 5 minute walk. It is near Mrt Ximen station exit 1, barely2 minute walk. It is near a bus stop too. Across the street is 7-11. Many restaurants, milk tea shops around the area. Toilet is Japanese style, which has a bidet. Drinking water is free, but you have to get it at the 1st floor. There is a pantry on my floor. With microwave, teas, utensils.

MalaysiaNo amenities are provided, you will need to buy off the vending machine/bring your own. Water dispenser wasn't on every floor, so that was quite annoying. Also, the breakfast coupons that are provided, the location of the stores (choice of MOS burger or Louisa coffee) were quite a distance away, so it was not very efficient if you're on a tight schedule. Rooms were very very tiny.
Very central location and a 711 just directly opposite from the hotel. Easy to get around from here, near the metro and bus stations. There was a lot of food options around as well. Bed was comfortable.

TaiwanThe room was tiny -- I think if you're a solo traveler this would be very good but for more than 1 person it's a mess. Some of the pictures of rooms online showed a section under the bed to store luggage and our room did not have that when we checked in so organizing luggage in the tiny space was inconvenient. The bathroom is also tiny and right next to the bed, so using the bathroom while someone else is in the room offers very little privacy. The sink counterspace was very small -- so if you have skincare/haircare/cosmetics to use in the bathroom it's a juggling act to organize and use everything. The hotel also has community laundry and the laundry machines -- despite looking quite new -- are bad and inefficient. The dryer cycle takes like two hours and still doesn't get your clothes dry. We had to take wet clothes to our next hotel after checking out because the dryer was so bad. And there's only three washers and three dryers so if other people are using them they get backed up easily. Our room had a refrigerator but it was very very small -- like the size of a skincare fridge so only like two bottles of tea would fit in it -- the size of the refrigerator was very silly.
The room was very clean and modern despite being small. I love the pink lighting options for the lights over the bed. If you want a hotel that's not right in the middle of a busy area but about a 5-minute walk to the crowds -- this is perfect. It's close to busy Ximen areas but not right in the middle of it. There's also a great 7-11 right across the street. Our room had a balcony, which was nice to stand on and view people on the street. The hotel offers breakfast meal tickets for Mos Burger and Louisa Coffee -- if you take them to those restuarants they have special breakfast menus for the meal tickets.

Czech RepublicWe had to walk 5-10 minutes for breakfast and at caffe they never had what we wanted, we had to queue up and it took long and choice of breakfast was limited. There was very little storage for suitcase and our things. I asked hotel to cancel one night from one of my rooms, but it was not possible as they said to turn to you, which I did but you recommended to cancel my reservation, which would be stupid thing during Computex when everything is overbooked. I offered hotel to pay for commission they pay for you for one night that I needed to cancel. No way to make agreement, we had to pay before we got our keys.
Modern room with many lights.

Brunei DarussalamOriginally booked for 3 nights. Ends up stayed for 1 night only. We are disappointed that the bathroom doesn't match with the description. When asked to change room, the staff mentioned that all rooms are fully booked. They should have clearly stated in the hotel description for the type of bathroom they have for the selected room or to inform us via email that they don't have the room requested and not assigned an accessible room without checking whether we are ok with it or not. Aside from that, the washroom is humid and floor tiles are wet and slippery after shower.

United StatesThe room - at least the one I had - was very small. There wasn’t a “real” window (maybe some rooms have good actual windows ?) so that was a bit disconcerting, if you have anxiety about windowless rooms you might want to inquire or specifically ask for a room with one. Bed was a bit firm for me, but YMMV on that and most beds in Taiwan are pretty firm anyway so…
Very nice inside. An easy walk from exit 1 out of Ximen station. Nice bidet toilet, excellent water pressure in the shower - some of the best around. The laundry setup is ideal if you like to pack lite and do laundry. Staff super nice! 😊
