Super nice location! Staff was very friendly and the rooms were so nice, big beds. Felt super safe, locked every door with a code so no one, not allowed, will get in. I loved this place!

The location of the hostel is very convenient. It’s close to the train station, so you can get your early bus to Alishan. The room was clean and staff friendly. The included breakfast was a disappointment though. You only get 2 slices of white bread with bit of jam. No coffee/tea or any other food items. So don’t count on that for a full breakfast.

Good location (easy to find and close to lots of food options). Although it's a hostel, the fittings (beds and bathroom) feel very new and are super clean. Very secure: the front door, elevator, and rooms all require a passcode, which is issued when you check in (a unique passcode for each booking). The staff were helpful and pleasant, and very patient with my endless questions. They also saved me from my own stupidity by finding a phone charger that I could borrow. Automated self check-in and -out is on the right as you enter; there are multiple language options and you should be okay if you just follow the prompts. The hostel requires you to take off outdoor shoes before going upstairs. They provide reusable room slippers; I think they sanitize them between uses, but if that bothers you, remember to bring your own. Towels, toothbrushes, and earplugs (but not eye covers) are available for rental/purchase on the 5th floor. The 5th floor also has basic cooking facilities and a large fridge where you can leave food until 8 pm on the day you check out, and each bed has a small drawer with a lock (which I think you probably need to empty by 3 pm on the day you check out, though I didn't confirm this). You can leave suitcases, etc on the first floor until 8 pm the day you check out. The only real negative is the keypad for the room beeps every time sometimes enters, which I imagine could be annoying if you're a light sleeper and go to sleep early/wake up late. I didn't have any problems though.

Solid stay, key cards to get in and out, luggage storage until the evening of checkout, everything clean, good wifi, plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby. Easy to do an early bus to Alishan from the train station bus stop.

There is no social atmosphere whatsoever. I didn’t like how we had codes for everything and no keys. You even had to type the code to go up the elevator or use the bathroom which was quite inconvenient and the beeping was loud when people were trying to sleep. I’d prefer a key card personally. In my opinion there was no reason whatsoever to have so much security in an incredibly safe town/ area.

It was incredibly clean and the rooms/ beds were so cozy. I loved the comforter and slept so well. There was nice warm lighting. The common area was relaxing and had a full kitchen and plenty of space in the fridge. They provided toast and jam and milk you could eat for breakfast or a snack, as well as plenty of tea bags. Lots of natural light and a coffee shop downstairs. The woman working helped me when I forgot my room code. It’s also a 3 minute walk from the train station so I didn’t have to worry about getting there with my large backpack. The beds are so comfortable and big and you have your own private space and it feels more hotel-like than like a hostel- but great value!

The room was very small, there was not enough space to open the luggage and the door...bathroom and toilet area were also very small, there was not enough space at the morning to get ready for more than two girls... You need to press pass key for everything and that makes a lot of noise. No coffee at breakfast, only bread and tea.

Although the water supply in my suite seemed to have some problem, the owner handled the crisis well. I was advised to use another bathroom on another floor level. The staff is nice and friendly to travellers. A good place to stay if you visit Chaiyi.

Great place for a short stay in a perfect location. Love that the bathrooms are separate. Quiet and comfortable at night with a nice rooftop. They said it was an old house and noisy but I thought it was very quiet.

The bathroom on the fifth floor was okay. One of the showers was broken and luckily it wasn’t too busy so I never had to wait, but the shower heads were a bit confusing.

I loved that the lounge space on the 5th floor was clean and super accessible. It was great to be able to meet other travelers and everyone respected the quiet hours. The front desk staff is also super nice! I wanted to dry my laundry and she walked me through the washing machine upstairs (which is free!) and then helped me find a laundromat that was a 3 min walk to dry my clothes. If you plan on washing clothing here, you will have to hang dry on the rooftop level or dry nearby like I did.

Very easily accessible from the train station, close to the main part of the city, the night market, and shops. The bed was really big and comfy, the AC worked great. The bathroom was small, but sufficient for how many people were staying at the time. And clean! There's also a cafe at the ground level, but I haven't used that. And while the place has no laundry in it, there was a great coin laundry very close.

Bathroom cleanliness could be improved.

Near the main train station and it’s easy to find food around the area. It’s really safe too since you need the keycard to even enter the lift. The beds were cozy and spacious for a hostel.

It is stated in the listing that each guest will receive a NTD 30 breakfast voucher, but it turns out to be plain bread, butter, jam, milk, soya milk in the level 5 pantry.

The location is near Chiayi Station. I feel safe in this hostel as we need a pin to take the elevator up to the room.

Only downside: the ‘breakfast’ actually is a slice of white bread from the fridge with some sugar jam. We only took it once and went out for breakfast the other morning

It has a different kind of socket than I normally use, but the hostel has adapters that guest can borrow.

Great bathroom, great kitchen, nice with an outdoor balcony, fairly spacious bed with good separation from the other beds (feels private in the dorm beds).
