The hotel has lovely views and it would be helpful if the listing could specify if the room has a street view or water view - one of the reasons for choosing this hotel was its views - which sadly neither of our deluxe rooms offered any views other than onto the the road leading up to Juifen. With paying premium we were under the impression that we would be receiving a room with a view. Knowing in advance if you are booking a room with a view or facing the street would be appreciated.

The location close to the temple and at the onset of the old street is perfect - Loved the free parking next door. Our rooms were huge with two double beds and a seating area as well as a dining area. The bathroom was pristine - excellent pressure and finishes. The comfort level of the bedding and mattress allowed for a wonderful evening of rest. The breakfast was beautifull presented and tasty and I loved the excellent assortment of teas in the foyer for use by the guests

Hosts were very friendly, always wanting to help. We stayed 3 nights and they made suggestions of what we could do in the area and at the night market. The breakfasts were delicious with lots of fruit. We kept our bicycles on the main floor.

The view of Seaview on 4F is awesome, you can see the famous turtle island.but it is difficult to go up the stairs without elevator.

Great location with attentive and helpful staff. Located really close to the Oldtown Road. Ocean view available. Rooms were cute and all a little different (we had 3 families stay in different rooms) with fun styles. Tea/coffee provided. Super clean. Shoes off, slippers provided.

Staff were great. Nice breakfast in the morning. Stayed on the 4th floor. No elevator but the view was excellent. Room was very large. Easily fit the two queen beds and an addition bed. Perfect place next to the main bus stop Jiufen old street. The English-speaking hosts were very friendly and welcoming. They also gave us good hiking advice. Breakfast was good, great shower, comfy bed, and spacious room. They also have a nice roof top terrace.

The traffic around the b&b outside area is kind of scary. There is no enough road space for ppl walk on the street.

It wasn't a big bother, but there is no elevator. However if you choose to go to jiufen, you should be prepared to walk a lot of stairs anyways 😉

We were lucky to be allocated to a room that is facing the sea. Though it was raining and dark at night but we could see the boat lights from the distant. There is no lift in the hotel, so it is recommended to pack light. It is situated in a very good location - within 3 min walking distance from the bus stop and 5 min walking distance to the old town. Room was big and clean. Breakfast was yummy.

With limited staff, Sunshine B&B limits its access in ways that can be inconvenient - no entry 11 am to 6 pm or 11 pm to 6 am. Fortunately, the staff made this very clear to us when we signed in. Not related to the hotel, we found it very difficult to find a restaurant in the local village open after 8 pm.

The room and lobby were charming. We had an ocean view from the comfort of our modern, cozy room. Breakfast in the lobby with a couple dozen other guests was quick and tasty. The hosts were friendly and helpful. Great location, mere steps away from the village.

There is no elevator, so we had to carry our suitcases up to the third floor by stairs. Fortunately, they were not that big.

We loved staying here. It is very close to the start of Old Street and the bus stop. The room is a comfortable size and very clean, we really liked the armchair and table. All the staff are very friendly and some are English-speaking.

The view was fantastic, and the room was exceptionally clean and spacious! While carrying our bags up to level 3 was a bit challenging, it wasn’t a major issue. We absolutely loved our stay! The family running the hotel were incredibly friendly and lovely, making the experience even better.

We were required to wear slippers at the entrance and store our shoes in a cabinet. While this is a good measure for ensuring hygiene and comfort, the spatial design does not support this arrangement, making it a cramped and highly unpleasant experience to retrieve and store shoes in such a small area. I had no choice but to take my shoes outside the B&B to find a suitable space to put them on. The old street was severely overcrowded with tourists, with no crowd management measures in place. At one point, hundreds of people became stuck in a narrow, hilly section, creating a complete standstill. Such congestion on the steep terrain posed a serious safety risk, as even a minor slip could have triggered a dangerous incident.

The balcony offers a lovely view. The hotel is conveniently located by the roadside, with a parking space next door.

The window gets really wet due to the temperature difference over the night, quite damp.

Very close to jiufen old street and comes with parking. We were lucky enough to get a free upgrade to a sea view room and had a really good view from the room. Also close to family mart and 7-11 which is convenient for late night snacks. Friendly owners, enjoyed the breakfast too!
