Perfect location - literally across the road from the station. On a busy main road but wasn't noisy. Room a good size, bed comfy and shower good pressure. Also has a good breakfast and reception staff who speak some english.

Super comfortable stay with helpful staff. Love the lounge in the first floor with tea and coffee and snacks. Breakfast buffet was generous with a wide variety of options. Distanced from main attractions but ample transit options and very easy arrival/departure by train. Great value.

Stayed in this hotel just 1 night (but 2x) and it's the perfect overnight stay for a Kaohsiung transit. 🛏 Nice, clean rooms that have large windows overlooking the recently rebuilt main station. All rooms have AC that you can control individually. 🍨Free snacks are provided all day (including 8 different flavors of ice cream!), coffee and tea also around the clock. Delicious and varied buffet breakfast with local and western choices included in the price. 🧺Has a self service laundry facility, and they even provide free bikes for the adventurous ones who dare to bike in central Kaohsiung:) 📍Location tip: ignore GoogleMaps directions from the station, just look with your eyes :). GMaps is not updated yet with the brand new walkways - the hotel is just opposite the MRT exit and is a 3 minutes walk. 💰Value for money is just outstanding! The only reason I am not suggesting the Kindness Hotel for an extended stay in Kaohsiung is - because I really think that if someone stays multiple days or longer (using Kaohsiung as a home base), staying at Yancheng district at the waterfront is the best experience. 🌊

I had a wonderful experience staying at Kindness Hotel-Kaohsiung Main Station. The staff was very wonderful and catered to my every need. I would say the breakfast is average, just a regular buffet with nothing really special. The bathroom floors are quite slippery so it is better to use the provided bathroom sandals.

We chose this hotel because it is very convenient, located right in front of Kaohsiung Main Station. We arrived by car and although the hotel doesn’t have parking, we were able to park at the newly opened parking lot under the refurbished main station. We then took the train to Kaohsiung Stadium for a concert, very convenient. The hotel interior seems newly refurbished as well so it is clean and spacious enough. You can get a nice view of the main station with a city backdrop from the window. Breakfast is included and the staff are friendly. You can find fast food restaurants and convenience stores nearby!

This hotel was located next to Kaohsiung train and metro station and it is walking distance from Liuhe night market. This hotel offers free scoop of ice cream to hotel guests 24 hours and there are eight different flavors to choose from. The reception provided me room change when the original room do not meet my expectations. The washing machine and dryer are available for usage 24 hours. The breakfast had a wide variety of dishes to choose from.

The staff is so friendly and helpful. The young woman who led the service team and Chucky were so nice we wanted to adopt them. The room was nice sized, comfortable, and clean. Nice lounge area with 24/7 coffee, tea, and snacks. Free guest laundry was a plus. Right across the street from Kaohsiung train station & MRT so it was very easy to get around. The included breakfast was pretty good.

The best hotel we stay so far in Taiwan. Location at main station. 24 hrs free coffee, snack, tea and ice cream was a surprise. Free laundry is also good.

We booked 2 double rooms and they upgraded us to a triple room. The accommodation was very good. We loved the cafe in the lobby for guests. The breakfast buffet had a lot of options. A delicious meal to start the day. The staff was very friendly. They also have a laundry area where you can wash and iron your clothes.

Handily located just opposite the station so all modes of transport around the city and beyond are readily accessible. The rooms were comfortable and breakfast was fine but the facilities of the guest lounge really make the hotel special. The ice-cream and daily beer were much appreciated. The staff were helpful and efficient.

Booked this hotel for 2 nights in Kaohsiung. The location is a 5-min walk to Kaohsiung main station for local trains and subway. Bed was comfy and I was particularly surprised by the bathroom shower heads that have multiple settings. The toilet was Japanese modern style, which is really a plus. Room was very clean and spacious, and super comfortable. Each room was entitled to a free bottle of beer or soft drink daily. This was really nice! There was also a comfortable lounge for all guests to avail of unlimited coffee, tea, ice cream and small snack items all throughout the day. Breakfast was of good quality and with lots of choices. Highly recommended this little gem in Kaohsiung.

There is no late check out option regardless of us only being able to check in late due to the flight delay. I do wish that there were more fruit options in the breakfast buffet. Reception could be a bit more cheerful instead of looking bored but that's just a minor recommendation.
