The mattress let you feel when the other one in the bed turned or moved. The windows wouldn't close properly, so you could hear the street noise.

The hotel is super cute, the decoration is beautiful and the lobby very comfortable to have a snack in the evening if you don't want to go out. The rooms are beautiful and with an old style. Super nice ambiance and the staff was lovely.

the design of the en-suite bathroom was clearly style over substance. there was no way the shower head could be in its holder, with the water flow turned to the fullest (as one would usually i suppose), and not flood the entire sink + toilet bowl area. the shower curtain, while looking lux being a thicker cloth in deep blue, did absolutely nothing except to protect our modesty. we had to resort to turning the water on to barely a trickle to shower. in the land of locally made durable 18-8/18-10 stainless steel, they also chose those trendy black painted ones that show the wear and tear so much more quickly. ventilation fan switch is combined with the light switch, so there wasn't a way we could've left the fan on overnight to dry the mess even if we didn't mind the sound. there also weren't enough space for hanging towel + change of clothes inside. compounded dust and hair along the window sills and frames + stains on the white bed linen + rug in the room is not acceptable.

great location, and i love the eclectic mix of vintage furniture curated by the owner. we loved the amount of sunlight pouring in through the whole wall of window, framed beautifully by old wood.

On the last day we had to leave at 8am which meant we missed breakfast. It would have been nice to have been offered a pack up. And word of warning if you say you would like breakfast at 9am, your cooked breakfast will be ready at 9.

We were in the top floor room which was very nice and had a lovely balcony. The only downside was that there was no lift so we had to carry our bags up 3 flights of stairs. But we managed it and i would choose the same room again. The room and hotel was quite quirky and a nice change from soulless international chains. There were nice little touches like free sweetie jars and cans of pop in reception . The staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good (although cold on the first day - see comment below!)

Breakfast is quite forgetable. It's cooked there and the plate is brought to you at the table, which is lovely, but the food itself is very simple. No butter/jam/sauce are provided.

This place is absolutely amazing and probably the best we stayed at during our trip to taiwan. We chose the dancer room and it was so big and beautiful. The entire house is beautiful, I wish my own house looked like it. It's very easy to travel around from there and its surrounded by temples and places to eat.

The place is very cosy and well decorated. The room is very nice and practical. Breakfast is prepared by the staff, you cannot chose but it is well prepared and tasty. You can also borrow an umbrella which is very useful since it can rain a lot.

1. This hostel is located in the very city center of Tainan, within reach of numerous local must-go restaurants and cafes, also it is just right next to the famous Fort Provintia. 2. The hostel was renovated from an old mansion, yet the in-room facilities are modern while blending in very well with the historical objects. 3. The public area is designed with owner's splendid taste as well as the selection of the furniture. Moreover, the house comes with 2 atriums, one arranged as a terrace and the other is a kitchen zone 4. Your stay comes with a breakfast, western style, egg, sausage, yogurt, a bit of fried vegetable and a cup of drink (hot or cold) 5. During check-in, you will be served a welcome drink and snack, mine was a glass of tea and several pieces of dried fruit. 6. It was so good that I felt sad after I left.

There is very little I could say negatively about this location. Perhaps it was a little difficult to bring all my luggage up the steps, which were a little steep. That is my own fault for packing so heavily!

The staff here we're extremely courteous, accommodating, and kind. When we needed help booking a taxi or asking for.help translating/calling our next destination they were very helpful! During our stay the local stores were closed, and the staff provided us with some food and necessities that we may not have been able to obtain due to the closures.

We had a very early flight on our last day and it was not possible to have an early breakfast or at least some kind of take away breakfast.

The staff is super friendly, the house is charming, with a very relaxing ambiance. And it is very conveniently located to visit Tainan!

- Lots mosquitoes at outdoor - Just staircase .. no lift haha - Hard to get someone to open entrance door if you do have have the key

- The location is convenient to walk around and forcpid hunting - Coffee shops around the neighbourhood are good - Love the breakie and coffee prepared by the host - Environment is nice and benefit for those wanna talk selfie

I liked everything. Obviously it is in an old house and there are stairs so maybe not suitable if you have mobility issues. But this is clearly marked in the description, so no surprises and nothing bad really.

It has a lot of character, every little detail is unique! The style is superb, location is 10/10. From there you can walk easily to all the best sites. Staff is so nice.
