Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Kingdom- feel a little bit unsafe as the hostel is inside a normal commercial / residential building with the reception on 10/F and some rooms on 7/F and 10/F. - dare not leave the room to take water from the water machine which is right outside the elevator - not sure if it is a love hotel or not (though I see normal traveller leaving luggage on 10/F after checking out) - The biggest con is that they did not separate the shower from the toilet. The toilet will get all wet after your shower. No shower curtain. The toilet is relatively small given the very large size of the room.
- very spacious (I've got the biggest room at the end of the corridor with two curved floor to ceiling windows facing the night market though, so I did not open the curtains at all, but it feel spacious) - a little bit noisy (can hear the shooting sound of the balloon shooting game booths from the night market, but otherwise, noise-wise, it is OK) - A TV suspended from the ceiling - nice coffee (3 in 1) on 10/F - Excellent location (Close to exit 11 (long stairs) and exit 1 (elevator and escalator) of the Beautiful Island Metro Station) - A very competitive Price

SingaporeThe sink was outside the bathroom and right next to a bed, have to be extra careful while using the sink if not water will splash on the bed. The nearest subway station exit with lift is quite far away, it was not easy to drag the big luggages from that exit and walk to the accommodation.
Liu he night market right at the downstairs. Watson and cosmed at downstairs, a few convenient store nearby. . A lot of food choices nearby. Walking distance to Formosa Boulevard station. Reasonable price with the great location during that period.

United KingdomA minor point but the balcony (I had booked a room with a balcony) was not really meant for use; part of it was taken up by outward facing AC and fan, the rest was closed off with a window or plastic and it didn't seem intended for spending time there. This is fine in itself, but then I don't see much point in advertising the balcony. Also, there was very little natural light in the room. The only window was on the upper part of the balcony door which wasn't even visible from the sofa or bed. The lights in the room were good though.
All in all, it was a great place to explore the city from, as well as to relax inside if/when you need it +Comfortable room, with a bed and sofa to relax on +Cold and hot drinking water available as well as tea bags +Hot shower +AC plus fan so you can use whichever you need (or a combination) +Great location, walking distance from the TRA station, very close to the Formosa Boulevard station and the Liuhe night market +It felt very safe, access to the hallway is with a key fob and then you have your room key +Helpful staff (although you will need to use Google Translate at times if you don't speak Chinese) +Strong WiFi

United StatesNothing in particular. We stayed multiple nights so if anything I wish they would have taken out our trash, that's about it.
The location was really great, close to the station as listed, and right off of the night market. Our previous place was a nightmare so that really made this hotel seem like an oasis. We booked for 5 people (3 beds) it was nice and spacious, water bottles were provided as well as some toiletries. Everything worked well, shower (water pressure could've been better but I think it's totally fine for the price we paid) AC was good, Wi-Fi was a little weak but fine, the fridge was fine too. Overall, it felt safe, comfortable and clean. Definitely not Hilton hotel quality but I think it was great for the price we paid.

SingaporeI would have added more points if the check in timing could have been earlier.. I was told the official check in is at 4pm and checkout is 11am.
1 biggest plus point for this hotel selection was the location. near to the Formosa Subway train station entrance. which is an interchange for both lines that allows you to travel to diff parts of KaoHsiung. It seems like a hotel chain which has rooms on level 7, 10 and 12. its literally right at where the Liu He Night market at.. with plenty of shops, like Watson, 7-11, Cosmed.. So its really a super convenient place to stay. I was given room 1013. which is right where the communal area and the recept at.. initially i was concern about possible noise disturbance. To my pleasant surprise, the sound proofing was really fantastic.. i didnt hear any noise from outside once i close the door. I tried to increase the volume of the TV and see if i can hear it from outside.. and it was quiet. Thumbsup. The room itself is fairly comfortable, it comes with a queen size bed and a sofa. Bathroom is also acceptable. Although i would have much preferred if there's a curtain to shunt the toilet bowl during shower to keep it dry. Bed and pillows are soft and comfortable to my preference. Room is clean. A new frill simple hotel with super affordable price. The counter staff were also friendly and nice.

MalaysiaThe hotel is near the Formosa boulevard station and just in the middle of Liouhe night market. I'm very satisfied with the room. It is clean and spacious. The room has a space to hang our laundry suitable for travelers. The price is very reasonable. FranceThe walls are thin. Bad luck if you have noisy neighbours.
Excellent location next to Formosa boulevard station and Luihe night market. The room was very large, clean, bright, comfy and nicely decorated, with a sofa, a fridge, a kettle, towels and aircon. I did not use the common area. There is free tea and coffee. Receptionists are present 24/7 and all spoke English better than most people. I would stay there again. Excellent value for money.

SwitzerlandRooms very old, not nice. staff did no effort to help me with another room type. I booked 3 months before and requested a special room type. They promised to try but when I arrived I got the worst room. If I knew before I would have cancelled right from the beginning. Balcony is not really a balcony! You can not be outside!

Location is very near Formosa Blvd. Station Exit 11 and the Liuhe Night Market. The place itself is spacious and had a common lounge for coffee and hot and cold drinking watee. Airconditioning is cold and the beds are comfortable. Wifi speed is also good enough for Zoom meetings and Netflix streaming.

United StatesThe only concerns are that maybe we could have had more horizontal space. We had to put a lot of things on the floor, which made it get crowded after awhile. The USB wall ports also didn't work, only the outlet plugs did.
I liked how clean the rooms were, that there were towels, the bathroom was clean and the shower was separate from the bathroom which is easier for us as Americans. The location was perfect, right next to the Liuhe Night Market and the subways. The view of the street from the balcony was also breathtaking in the morning. The staff were very helpful and they spoke very good English which makes everything easier.
