The location is perfect, right by Formosa Boulevard Station. I considered paying more for a hotel near the harbour but I'm glad I didn't. It's so easy to take the metro. The common room has a fabulous view! I sat there reading for most of one day and really enjoyed it. The dorm was clean and the AC worked well. The shower was easy to use, the toilets clean and there are separate bathrooms for men and women. I'd stay here again. A tip for others so they don't walk back and forth like me: the building isn't immediately obvious when you step out of the station, but there's a sign for the hostel in the lobby, so look closely at the doors. If you step back, you can also see the name on the building itself.

Incredible location right by a night market and a formosa station (a main station in Kaohsiung). Staff was very friendly and helpful. Washing machine and dryer available for use. Beds are matched with a locker and there are hangers in the beds. Beds and comforters are very comfortable. Common space has a huge window overlooking the street with comfortable chairs and many available outlets. Stable wifi.

The view from common area is amazing, free tea and coffee. Friendly and helpful staff. Location near the markets and eating stalls.

Lovely cosy hostel, it is quite small but has everything you need. It is clean and comfy and has a nice lounge area with a big window. There is an MRT literally outside the entrance, it is also right near Luihe night market. My favourite hostel so far traveling in Taiwan.

Nothing. It is a little difficult to find as it is on the 6th floor so you have to look for the sign near the doorway, then go up the lift. It is right next to the bank.

Comfortable bed, large curtain provides privacy, quiet room and hostel, large comfortable common area, free towels, convenient location.

Some bigger sized slippers would have been nice :) Not a major problem though. The decor and the layout of the communal lounge was acceptable but could be improved.

Pretty much as I expected. Fairly quiet, which is important, and a comfortable, solidly built bunk bed. Nice view from the communal area. A useful utility area where you can cook. Decent showers and toilets.

Upon arrival, we were immediately received at the check-in. Our room was clean and the beads were comfortable as well. Surprisingly, fresh towels were available and the bathrooms were also equipped with hairdryers. Based on our experience, I warmly recommend this accommodation.

Shower was either very hot or cold, but manageable.

Location is perfect, literally opposite the KRT station that services both the red and orange lines so you can get on either of them immediately. Bed was comfy, amenities were good, cheapest hostel I've stayed in in Taiwan and one of the nicest. Near to a good night market too.

Strategically located at the intersection of two MRT lines, Trip GG Hostel provided easy access to the city. The experience was generally nice, but the wifi speed leaves much to be desired.

I'm a bit torn about this place. It actually was great. Staff friendly, bathrooms clean, dorm beds comfortable, communal area cozy with a cool view.. What else does one need?... Well the aircon is SO cold and not adjustable in the room (I also think the filters need urgent changing, I kept sneezing) . It was a fridge with horribly dry air. I woke up with a headache and and bad cold, so that I ended up moving to a different place for the rest of my days.

The communal area is silent. Like weirdly silent. Just having some quiet chilled music would go a long way to break the awkward silence! The lockers on the rooms were super noisy to open and shut. So be prepared to be woken up a lot!

Location was brilliant. The beds were comfy. Providing towels was a nice touch. The staff member who checked me in was super helpful!

If you had any kind of complaint or questions about the facility, the staff was QUICK to say I am happy to refund and you can leave. The staff is there to just clean. They have no time for you and they make it very clear in relationship to asking questions or directions about the city, etc. They also did not have a freezer for ice. The kitchen had no coffee maker, as stated in the profile. The “ coffee maker” was instant coffee. They did not even have salt and pepper in the kitchen, which I think is just a basic item for a Hostel!

I liked the cleanliness of the Hostel. The staff that worked there was quick, but could not be bothered with anything else. . I also liked the immediate access to the trains So in relationship to the ratings that they get this is just a basic hostel. .

1. Hot water from the shower was inconsistent and difficult to adjust - either too hot or too cold. 2. Noisy as the walls were thin and rooms weren't soundproofed.

Hard to locate. Need to contact the hostel first. No specific landmark to easily locate the hostel. The women's shower room is just beside the men's shower room and it's only covered by a curtain. Limited shower room.

Okay for a night stay. That's it.

The bad bothering question is “indoor slippers” very easy gone! If guests over load or maybe some other visiting not really booking guests come, they could use the slippers that made users who really needed got none 😱That’s really so bothering guest! I would like to give a advice for the manager or host that maybe can provide a “Clip” with room&bed number for any check in booking guest. This way is better for anyone after choose slipper size and make sure their indoor slippers keeping siill and clean before they check！ Slippers gone accident and hygen is so important😓

Location is perfect, close to MRT exit 1 and night market, famous gourmet food 👍 convient traffic location and good price for backpackers choice.
