Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe food wasn’t the best quality options for fruit at least. Some stuff seemed expired or mouldy, but packaged stuff was fine.
It’s central, it was clean and free food on 6th floor. It was clean and the 6th floor was nice. The rooms were a bit small and it’s one of the showers that combines with toilet so everting gets wet. I just feel rude using it when you’re sharing so not my preferred type of bathroom situation.

PolandProbably the best place to stay due to its location: 2 minutes from the main subway station (both orange and red lines), 7-Eleven, bicycles station (YouBike) and night market. You literally just have to cross the street.

SwitzerlandOnly one shower for men, so I had to wait long to get access to it. Even though the rooms are "separate", I could hear everything of the room next to mine (phone videos, snoring). Apart from that, it was clean and I could sleep quite well.

AustraliaThe room was not as sound proof and some corners of the room and bathroom was not as clean as I had expected. A deep clean every now and then, especially during the changing seasons (moisture, damp smell, mould etc) should be conducted.
The property was spacious and the location was perfect! Also appreciated the amenities available.

FranceIf the showers had curtains to protect the rest of the bathroom, then it would be flawless. (The bathroom and shower is one single room, there is 1 bathroom per gender, but the doors lock and there is privacy)
What a great place. I arrived from Kaohsiung airport quite late and after checking in was closed. But I was still able to get in. The hostess had contacted me to let me know where the keys to my room were, unfortunately I didn't have internet so I couldn't see her messages. If you find yourself without internet and in the same situation as me, just look around in the first floor and it should be good (be sure to tell the hostess in advance if you are arriving late). I had a good sleep, in a nice small room. It was cosy, and was great for one person. My card was not working propperly (due to an error on my end) but if you can pay in cash then all works great. Wonderful hospitality, and it's a great place to stay if you want to visit Kaohsiung or you just need a place to stay for the night. Would 100% go back if I am in town again.

SingaporePerhaps my experience is flawed due to being put at the 2nd building of this hostel/hotel and staying at such wonderful places prior to this location. The location did not have a lift to the rooms located in the main building, hence the staff / owner thought it might be a better idea to house me at the new venue which had a luggage lift . That being said, there were still 3 rather steep steps u need to cart ur luggage up to. The whole venue was an old but relatively clean apartment with many little rooms. I was given a room at the back of the apartment, and it was quite warm and stuffy, especially at night, so I did not get a very good sleep. The TV in the room wasn't working for me as well. The bathroom was basic with 2 shower rooms and 2 toilets. The kitchen, though quite well equipped, was a tad messy. Guess it was because I stayed at some really awesome hostels prior to this, so things did fall a bit short of my expectations.
The location was pretty much awesome being a short 3 mins walk to exit 10 and 11 of the main interchange of the Kaohsiung subway network and food wasn't much of an issue as there were many food options scattered around. There was also a 7-11 just around the corner. The staff was accommodating to my early arrival at the venue and was able to give me a room at a much earlier time. It was good that food was provided 24/7. There were a variety of spreads for the thin and thick toast that were in the fridge and a variety of instant noodles to choose from as well.

NetherlandsThere is no reception/staff in the hotel all day so they are a bit difficult to reach in case of questions. There is no shower curtain of cabin, so the whole bathroom will get wet. But both is common in Taiwan. Overall very good quality for this price.
The location is very good, close to the night market and the metro station. The beds are very comfortable. There is a nice seating area on the 6th floor with some sofas and some free food and drinks!

MalaysiaNothing, they were very helpful and even borrowed us umbrella since it was raining.
The shower! It's so powerful with very good hot water system! There's also a massage chair in the room! Location was very near the night markets, there are a few there and many mrt exits as well! Also the 6th floor lounge was a big plus! It was raining a lot when we were there and the 6th floor was a very good comfy place with big sofa and tables so I could get some work done while waiting for the rain to stop. They have free drinks upstairs like coffee, tea, hot chocolate, fruit sodas, even got free ice, can cook there, even with an oven and free fruits/cold milk and instant ramen!!! The staff were very nice too! I had a very nice time staying there!
