The air conditioned was a bit too cold. (But then again it was in winter, I bet I'd have appreciated that in the summer.)

The place is very nice. You feel like you're sleeping inside of the bookshelf, which is nice. People were super friendly, the kitchen is super well equiped and the location cannot be toped. I really enjoyed the stay there.

My only complain is that there is no elevator. Moving big luggages to the floors above is not easy.

As Tainan is not a very public-transport-friendly city, I'd appreciate it if there were more 7eleven/family mart closer to the location so that i could call a taxi.

Host was super friendly! She always greeted me with a smile and made small talk too. The shampoo & soap provided also smelled nice. I appreciate the free menstrual products AND skincare products provided. They truly get it!

I love the book set up. I also loved that even though the rooms were mixed that the bathrooms were separate and kept very clean and also had toiletries. I always travel with my own towel which was necessary in this hostel since the towel they provided was tiny. It's still nice how much they provide in hostels in Taiwan. The free bus drop off from the high speed train station was also very useful which they informed me about. I'd definitely stay here again when I'm coming back to Tainan.

This is one of the best hostel I have been to! It is a bit more expensive than average but I saw why and it was totally worth it. As soon as you enter the place it’s just awesome, the room is spacious, toilet clean and they even provide make-up remover, lotion, tonic, cleansing oil and cleansing foam. The facility is just so relaxing and common areas are perfect.

I had to move beds because the one I got was next to a window and there was too much noise and light coming in, making it hard to sleep. I recommend sleeping in windowless pods. In the second bed I slept there was a weird smell of food, but perhaps it was just a fluke. No elevator. It's a very large hostel (I think there are about 200 beds) but thankfully the hostel was pretty empty when I was there. Also, the common room is in a different floor and building than the female dorm. I didn't cook and just used the lobby, so it wasn't a big problem. The bathrooms/showers were also on a different floor than my dorm. So the design is a little quirky, but not so bad.

Emily (the woman at the reception) was fantastic; really helpful, friendly and accommodating. The interior design of the hostel is super cool and the beds are very comfortable! I loved that that the hostel provides cosmetics for women for the face, body and hair. Felt very pampered. The location isn't near the train station but is in the heart of the downtown area which is super cool. The art museums are fantastic and are just outside the hostel.

There are lots of steps and no lift so it might not suit everyone

This was my first hostel stay in Taiwan and has set the bar very high! The location is excellent., across from the Confussuus Temple and a few minutes from the HSR shuttle Inside the hostel is like a quirky stylish library with lots of places to meet other people or to sit down and read including a small roof terrace I stayed in the large female dorm and had a cosy capsule bed. The luggage lockers are a bit small but the room itself is so big that there is plenty of space as well as some places to sit The bathroom was also huge and had lovely eco-friendly toiletries and everywhere was immaculate. Many thanks to the lovely staff!

The layout is two floors, which are basically two long rooms per floor, and walking between floors requires going through these big rooms. I didn't really meet anyone in the rooms because this setup kind of discouraged socialization. Some rooms are a bit hard to get at. But this is part of the charm of Taiwanese buildings. While the aesthetic was very cool, I would have made more practical concessions.

Hostel was quite clean and had an interesting atmosphere and aesthetic. The staff spoke good English and were helpful. Although there was no breakfast there were some snacks and a good coffee on site. I like the location nearby some historic buildings without feeling like a touristy spot. There's even a secret coffeeshop next door. It's got several areas for socialization although I found this hostel to be on the quiet side during my stay.

Of the hundred of hostels I have been in my life, this one is definitely in the top 10! just incredible and quirky interior, the bathroom is just great with a lot of amazing products to use. I couldn't read any of the books as I'm not fluent in Chinese unfortunately, but it's still a cosy and calming atmosphere.

Not a dislike but just noting that the area is really popular during the day but it was empty at night. I felt fine walking to a livelier area at night, but did still encounter stretches of emptiness.

This place is so clean and nice! I had stayed somewhere else and had a hard time so I booked this place and the people at the front desk were friendly and helpful. I got lucky and stayed in the female dorm area and the room was right across the bathroom which was super convenient. The bathroom was amazing and the room I stayed in was very comfortable.
