How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The design of the hotel is a bit outdated and from the 1990ies, so a bit updates would be nesccesary,
The staff was very friendly and supportive.They did the best to make the stay very comfortable for my Taiwanese partner and me.The staff gave us a very heartly welcome, I can recommend this hotel.

The one I don’t like is there’s no motorcycle parking for their guest.
I like the staff they entertain the guests in good way.

Nothing specifically but the interior of the hotel added to that feel of glumness.
The location is very near TAICHUNG main train and bus station. A good area. Quiet at night. A lot of restaurants around. A lot of shopping malls. It's an old Hotel. Dated interior, old furnishings, dark in some areas of the hotel. Far from Fengjia night market area But for the price and if your on a budget, this hotel is good enough.

Bathroom is very dark, sink is stained.
The staffs are very polite and treat me with utmost respect, which is very impressive. This factor alone is enough for me to choose this hotel again in the future.

The hotel is clean however it is a very old building and our room had mould that triggered allergies after the second night.
Staff were fantastic, friendly and very helpful. The hotel is located 5 minutes from the rail station. Breakfast had a good variety of hot foods, very good rice porridge with fresh toppings.

This hotel is showing some signs of age such as the accumulating dust on exhibits and glass within some display cases....
Breakfast here was a full buffet with many choices all quite delicious. The rooms were wonderfully spacious.

It's an older hotel and everything is a bit worn out and outdated but very clean.
Staff was very helpful and nice. Great traditional breakfast choices. close to train, bus etc Good value for money!

An ill-fitting wooden 2nd door, good for soundproofing, but impedes easy access into bathroom. The shower curtain does not cover the back part of the tub, hence impossible to avoid getting the floor wet after every shower. Hotel located off of a loud, busy, bustling street, one street behind the mall, but managed to remain isolated on its own - not easy to locate on first time.
A slightly older, resplendent hotel with an impressive facade. A good breakfast offering. Cold AC, adequate hot water. Quality, darkwood room fittings, with a charming, isolated balcony/mini garden.

For beverages in room, there was no coffee, only tea bags. Would be nice if there was coffee. The TV channel is limited and there was no English newspapers not magazines in the lounge.
Breakfast was good but it would be better if hotel can change the menu a little the next day. Love the spaciousness of the triple room.

Our room was dark, no daylight comes in (facing a wall). This is an older building.

The interior of the room is outdated and I think the old texiles give it unpleasant smell.
Liked the location, friendly staff and the stylish lobby area. The price was quite affordable.

Old Hotel with no renovation. Feels creepy. Room not too clean but no bugs inside
The staff is friendly and could understand english well. Location near Mall and a lot of tasty restaurant nearby. 7-11 and Family Mart is so close to the Hotel.

First room was a triple room, even though we booked a double, but actually it wasn't an upgrade. It was in need of repair, from the baseboard paneling being cracked to a mouldy odour. It was not great, but they moved us to a better room. The second room did have a slight sewage smell coming from the bathroom, so we kept the door closed. The aircon was too strong, but luckily they have an on/off switch and a toggle for high/low.
At first we were given a subpar room and this was valentines day, so that wouldn't do. I asked to change and they quickly found a better room, which was way more pleasant and met all of our needs. The second room we had was good. Window to the interior away from the street noise. The bed was actually two twins pushed together, but we made it work. Bathroom had good water pressure and even temperature. It came with a fridge and we stored some foods in it. The place came with a parking spot, which helped us out a lot. Free breakfast in the morning wasn't too bad. There were a lot of guests staying there and it got a little crowded. They had congee, toast, fried veggies, teas, coffee, cereals, and other pastries. Not too shabby.

The included breakfast is convenient and the hot soy milk was especially delicious. Staff is very friendly and accommodating.
