The mattress was so bad that I almost felt sleeping on the floor. It was very uncomfortable which I barely slept all night.

We got a room at ground floor and next to the main road, it was quite noisy when cars passing by. The room is pretty small and cold even with an old heater. In the morning you have to walk 10 mins uphill to have your breakfast.

5-10 mins on foot to station and restaurants, depending on you are going up or down hill.

The room is fine, a bit run down from the interior. No elevator available. Toilet is moist and damp, as expected in the higher altitude. Hot and cold water dispenser is available, which is convenient.

The pillow is too hard and the heater only can turn on after 9 o'clock. The room has bad soundproofing and the room with this price is a little bit small. The breakfast is simple and soso.

The central heating and the shower are great. The location of the hotel is nearby restaurants and train station.

The heater only available at 9pm, in fact the weather turns cold when sunset, about 5pm 6pm plus. The heater is central control and for a few moments, there are smoking smell, probably someone is smoking. The room is at ground floor, but the windows cannot lock.

The ventilation in the bathroom is not good, leaving the place somewhat smelly after showering. The towels provided were not great and did not absorb water too well.

The bed is hard as rock. The room is a bit tiny. The breakfast hours are a bit early if you want to see the sunrise.

The room and toilet could have been better furnished. That said, what we were provided with matched the price that we paid, so there really isn't much to complain about.

The room's size and amenities met our expectations and needs, considering that we did not book this accommodation in advance. The hotel is near the town centre, so we could get to food options and get things from the 7-11 conveniently.

The hotel, as probably all hotels of this age, is worn out. Little maintenance is being done. The most ridiculous thing is that only small towels are provided. The bed is rock hard, same as pillow. We had not much sleep...

The room had heating! very rare in Taiwan! breakfast is included, although need to walk to a restaurant to enjoy it. Alishan mountain tea is complimentary.

the bathroom was so wet and when we asked about it they just have us a towel so we had to wipe the floors and toilet 😂 the walls are also SO thin, people were so loud until 1am. There should be an enforced curfew for noise. Also the pillows are extremely high and hard, so uncomfortable that we couldn’t sleep and ended up not even using them. The included breakfast isn’t on the property and we had to go into town for it & it was not great at all - but it was included in the stay so I will take it.

No fridge. Small shower towels. Hard beds and pillows. No elevator. You have to leave the hotel to grab breakfast, which isn't good at all (few Taiwanese food choices) -they don't even have black coffee available; grab breakfast at 711 instead!

The room seems quite cold at first, but blankets are sufficient and you actually heat up as usual over night and enjoy the aircon (April: >20C at daytime, 6C at sunrise!). No refridgerator in our room.

Easy to find and Check-in people spoke decent English, which is not always the case in Taiwan. Booked a sunrise shuttle, worked great (you also get to visit a huge holy tree, which was amazing, and are dropped of on time at breakfast). There are water dispensers. We did not mind using the stairs to the third floor - there really is no elevator. The beds are quite hard indeed as others commented, but we actually enjoyed that a lot compared to very soft mattresses in other hotels. It is pricey for not that much offered, but thats just due to the location. Great that luggage could be stored there. Breakfast was an interesting experience: you hand your voucher to a local kitchen-shop and getyour plate filled with whatever you indicate "yes" to (noodles, vegetables, congee etc). Unlimited tea plus toast with sweet spreads. Was tasty and felt very local. You could try many things this way you might not dare to otherwise (beware the crazy salty eggs ;)). Bring warm clothes for the sunrise tour! We put on everything we had as there were 6°C in April and you wait outside a bit..

the pillows were too hard and too high. need proper bath towels for guests, not a face towel heater at night time got too warm, there was only a switch on and off button and no way to adjust the temperature. breakfast was ok. would be better if the coffee is just a straight black allow that allowed people to add milk or sugar if they preferred.

great location. They have shuttle bus to do pick ups and drop offs to the train station they have their own Sunrise tour. very convenient to book and the travel guide/driver was very knowledgeable with the surrounding. This tour not only took us to see the sunrise, we also went to see the second biggest sacred tree and ginger tea was provided afterwards
