How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Great location, you have to find elevator to access the accomodation (follow the signs outside). Room was clean and so were the bathroom facilities. Room is a bit small, so be wary if you bring big luggage. Overall nice stay for good price! :)

We had two different rooms while staying here. There was a musty smell due to there being few if any open windows in the lobby or rooms. That mixed with the carpet everywhere was not a good combination. They had dehumidifiers to help but there was none in our room. I'm not sure if there was a strong enough fan in the bathroom as well as the room got quite humid even with air-conditioning on. The first room was too small for two medium suitcases to be open, the second one was the same size I think and the configuration made it easier for the two suitcases to open, but we lost a bathtub which wasn't a big deal. The on site laundry was good however due to user error or dryer settings our clothes took a long long time to dry.

Can improve the cleanliness of the washroom and bathroom.
The location is great near with Ximending metro which can connect to most tourist spot in Taipei. Can get the food easier. I love the common area which can chill with drink and relax.

The entrance for the hotel is confusing. Need to enter into the mall and go to lift to notice the hotel. No signboards outside. For 1st timer, you need to explore a little bit for entrance.
Near to ximending street. Walking distance. all facilities in good condition. We can chit chat at the lounge area.

Toilet layout a little odd, would have been better if there’s something to hang out clothes or towel when showering.

I found other hotels in Tapei and similar location with better value for money.
Nice staff, welcoming and I could use the free laundry facilities. Hard to find with Google Maps but if you follow the instructions in the provided video, this is easy to find.

Nice hostal, it was a little hard to find. Great public space with a nice view on the city. Coffee and tea in the morning. Clean facilities.

Carpet cleanliness was questionable with numerous stains. Under the bed was not cleaned in what seemed very long, saw used tissues ane even someone's pill. Dead space behind the sink was horrendous with mould and whatnots, someone's old toothbrush and toothpaste maybe. Shower head had mouldy parts on it.
Bed and blanket was clean and comfy, no funky smells. Towels were clean, but due to ill placement below sink, it was wet (don't know if it was from me or previous guest, but water was definitely from the sink above). Free laundry pods to use for laundry.

Supposedly there was a black out in the middle of the night on our first night there. Though being tired we slept through it, it would have been nice to get an advanced notice (though it is entirely possible that the staff themselves only came to know at the last moment, in which case it is understandable)
Staff was very friendly. We had a slight discomfort with our originally allotted room but the staff was very understanding and they moved us to another room.

The room size is equal as the double bed which is so small. There are 3 shared bathrooms, so not enough during rush hour. Toilet is not clean. One has to walk to open space pass through lobby area in order to go to bathroom. Thats strange. So we decided to change & pay more for better option

Location is nice and close in Ximending. Room is comfortable. Facilities provided was very good. Tea & coffee are freshly made or you can make one whenever needed. There are snacks bars with various kinds of snacks. This is my 3rd stay in 8 months. First in April and was very impressed with location and facilities. Staff are always very helpful especially Tom and Emily. We had a numbers of bookings where we needed to change rooms and they provided assistance so moving from one to the others were hassle freed. Thanks guys.

located within Lion Plaza, hotel may not be obvious for the first time Room cant see anything with windows, but its fine Service staff can be a bit non-proactive, just provide bare minimum service and answers. May come forth as rude at times.
Near ximending main street (5 min walk away / 1 street away) free coffee every morning free red tea all day round cosy environment with lobby for you to relax and wait while your room to be ready room is enough for me room toilet is clean

Hard to locate first time. I stayed on the bunk bed, they just dont clean the room in a daily basis. Some guests are so noisy and loud! Could have been better for them to clean the room, remind guests to minimize noises and keep the room temp cold. i have to request thrice to lower the ac temp

Room was clean, cozy Shower had all the amenities and toiletries. The shower/ toilet was also maintained well. I also like that there are free snacks, coffee, and tea.
