Getting into the property was problematic. The front door was locked and required a code, which I didn't get ahead of time. Luckily I had a phone with connectivity and could call. Even then, the owner had to get someone to translate. Once we got in, we found that our room wasn't ready. I called the owner again, and she said to take another room. That room wasn't ready either. Finally the maid showed up and our room was ready an hour after check in. We never did see the owner nor did we see the maid again. It was weird.

The beds, shower, lighting were all good, as was the property 's location relative to the main commercial area and the train station. In the common area bottled water was available as was a refrigerator.

The bathroom and shower are very great except the shower has a narrow section which is a bit awkward but not reason not to stay here.

Stayed in the double room 302. It was very comfortable and had a calm atmosphere. The view to the mountains was pleasant and constantly changing. Overall the value was very good.

Our room was clean and spacious and the twin beds were comfortable. The guest house seemed very new and fresh and it smelled lovely too. We chose the location because it is close to the train station. There are some good places to eat around there too, but we caught a taxi to get to the ocean front promenade. We appreciated the fruit platter and the concern the owners showed us when there was a severe typhoon approaching.

We were in Hualian on the day of the earthquake. The building is new, so it's stable and robust. There was no major damage to the building. It's super easy to get to the train station and Family Mart from here. The hosts were very kind and helpful to help us arrange for a room at a good price when we were stuck in Hualian for an extra night. Thank you for your help!

Excellent location, just walkable from the Hualien station. Cut fruit, water filter, common kitchen with thoughtful items. We also used the washer and dryer on the 4th floor. The room was spacious and well-lit. The beds were comfy. It's a great value for money. Please don't expect luxurious furnishings etc., but everything is planned around utility for the guests.

Very convenient location less than 10 minutes' walk from the train station. Very clean rooms, and loved the fruit platters for each room. The free laundry was also a very nice amenity (though the clothing dryer doesn't work very well). Would definitely recommend as an affordable, comfortable place to stay in Hualien.

The room itself was quite old but that's the only small minus, everything else was great.

The location is close to the centre and the main station. The check-in is well organised with clear instructions. The place had all you need for a stay, including a plate of fruits served in the morning. There is a washing machine and refrigerators to be used.

It was a beautiful and clean property, with easy instructions from the owner prior to my stay. They were helpful and responsive to my questions. The facilities were excellent, as well as a shared kitchen area. It was very close to Hualien Station and to convenience stores.

The host was amazing. They ensured we had a good stay, provided free fruits daily, excellent cleanliness, and a good location (near the city). Even though the host was Chinese, they put efforts into communicating with us in English to ensure we had a good stay.

The home and room was very clean and smelled pleasant. Host replied within hours with regards to our queries. Instructions around the house were given adequately which ease our check in and stay. The accommodation is only a 6 min walk from Hualien station which makes our travel very conveninent. Will absolutely recommend this place!

The building is a bit dingy on the outside and you're not staying here for the view. But it's perfectly comfortable and a good spot to stay if you're in Hualien as most tourists are, to explore Taroko Gorge.

The hosts provided us with very precise and detailed info to self-check in, left a fresh fruit platter in the fridge for us and answered questions quickly via the app. We didn't meet them but that was fine. The rooms are clean and have both AC and dehumidifiers to keep you comfortable. The hotel/homestay is right near the train/bus station so perfect if you're just passing through Hualien on the way up to Taroko. The center is reached on foot in about 25 minutes. There's also a fun bowling alley around the corner if you're looking to have some fun late in the evenings!

Laundry available on site for guests. I didn't plan to wash clothes, but ended up needing to use it. So glad it's available. Fruit tray is a nice. Appreciate her thoughtfulness.
