United StatesChishang is a very small town that feels a bit industrial and shuts down very earlier. It's good for a short visit, but you won't need more than a night or two there to feel like you've seen everything.
The hotel was a convenient 7-min walk from the train station, and in great proximity to all of little Chishang's offerings, including bike rentals, the handful of nearby restaurants and attractions, and the Dapo pond and bike trails. From what we could see, this is definitely one of the best hotel options in town, and easy to spot since it's the only multi-colored hotel in the area. The family who manages it seems to live on property, so if you need assistance, it's easy to get, even though the front desk isn't regularly manned. Chishang itself is a pretty quiet, sleepy town that feels a bit industrial. So it's nice to have a cozy, very clean, updated spot like this to go "home" to at night. HIGHLY recommend the vegan restaurant a block away (Qiao Ben Wei). It's delicious and the owners are wonderful. The tofu museum also has good food + ice cream. Make sure to eat early -- most places close by 8 pm, if not before. There's also a big, very nice grocery store in town, if you want to DIY.

The location is quite central to all the eateries.

Everything, especially the fact that it provides free bikes to all visitors staying at the hotel. The location is quiet yet only less than 2 minutes of bike ride to Dapo Pond and the bike trail. Room is spotless clean and spacious. Breakfast is not on site but a voucher to any one of the 5 local eateries in town, the farthest is less than 10 min of walk from the hotel. I would stay again.
