Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesOur initial rooms had some issues with some smell and one rooms electricity stopped working. The rooms were relatively clean although a bit dated, and because the no windows they were very dark. That did make it very easy to sleep though. Because of the issues with our rooms we were provided a room that had a window without the second sealing. Ultimately at night, it quieted down, but once traffic starts you did get the street traffic but other then that i had no complaints.
The staff were exceptional. We had some issues with our initial rooms and we were provided new rooms once the issues had been confirmed and the staff were very nice and did their best to help our every need. It's also in a very convenient area, you're minutes from most bus stations and only about a 10-15 minute walk from the taipei main station and 20 minutes from ximen.

BelgiumWe had a room with a window and you could hear traffic noise quite loudly at times. There were also a lot of small lights in the room that always stayed on so it was never fully dark in the room. The room also had a slight swimming pool smell - which I didn’t mind but my boyfriend did not appreciate.
The shower was great and the bed was comfortable. The location was the biggest advantage of it all - being so close to the Main station as well as another metro station allowed us to travel around the city quickly and conveniently. I also liked that you didn’t need to have many interactions with the staff and could just come and go as you please. They also offered a big variety of amenities such as a tea room and a laundry room which was very nice.

United StatesThe hotel provided 2 bath towels and 2 hand towels. I realized the hand towels were actually wash towels, and they were rather big for wash towel, but then we still needed a hand towel and a floor towel. Also there were not too many place to hang the towels.
This hotel is within walking distance from the Taipei Main Station and only a few blocks from the red subway line. Going to and from the airport and other Taipei destinations is pretty easy. There are many restaurants nearby, and the Xinending shopping district/night market are also within walking distance. Our room had a good sized desk and 2 chairs, that is nice and convenient. Hotel staffs were very friendly and helpful, and the room was clean.

VietnamThe absence of a bidet and the separation of the toilet room from the shower room might be somewhat inconvenient. This could be attributed to Taiwanese cultural norms. No electrical sockets near bed is a bit inconvenient
Friendly staff, good English communication, located at near Taipei Main Station, the room was clean and comfortable. You can also request adapters, ironing boards, and various other useful utilities if you need them.

JapanThe location of the hotel is perfect, about 15 minute walk south of Taipei Main Station, very easy to walk to. Ximen is also about 15min walk to the east of the hotel and I could also easily walk about 25-30mins to DiHua Old Street and NingXia night market. The size of the room is good, double bed is a lot bigger than a normal double bed and is comfortable. Staff are also very helpful and friendly :)

United StatesI used dryer on both 10th and 12th floor. The vent (lint) filter has not been cleaned for a long while-perhaps the users were not aware about it. Suggest that facility staff to add it on check list.
A very convenient location near Taipei Train Station with MRT and bus connection. Although this location does not provide breakfast, there are a few breakfast places within short walking distance.

MalaysiaHotel lacks flexibility on check-in time.... it is unthinkable to charge NT$300 per hour for early check-in than 3pm. It is generally thought that Hotel would not lose anything if room is available for early check-in upon reasonable request. Hotel lifts appear to have two independent buttons to operate... it is a waste of time & resource if hotel guests are not aware and tend to 'waste' power by pressing two buttons are not synchronized.
Location is good with easy walking to three MRT stations (within 15mins). Plenty of restaurants and cafes in the vicinity for dine-out.

GermanyThe personal couldnt speak any english and the area is not exactly optimal after a night walk.
The room itself was actually pretty good. The check in is possible from 15 o clock onwards which was quite inconvenient since we arrived after 20 hrs of travelling and needed a place to recover. We could however pay extra (200 TND per hour) to get in the room earlier than the official check in. Almost none of the personal could speak proper english which made the experience a bit confusing.

United StatesI wish there had been an electric plug closer to the bed so that I could have my phone or other electronics at a closer reach when they were charging.
The arrangement of the room was good. I like that there was a half wall separating the bed area and bathroom area, and having the toilet and shower partitioned makes sense too. It was a spacious room too with plenty of room to walk around in, even as just a solo guest.
