Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomTh B&B is in such a lovely, green, quiet environment, yet still convenient and close to Moshi town centre. The breakfast is delicious.

CanadaMore Than A Drop (MTAD) is an oasis in Moshi. I stayed for about a week in February 2025. MTAD is located just outside of Moshi. Although I mostly just walked to town tuk tuks or motorcycle rides come by every minute or two. Ths staff are friendly and helpful. They accomodated any request including 5 AM breakfast. Milli arranged for transportation and advised on tours. The breakfast and dinners were delicious offering traditional local dishes as well as conventional favorites. Especially mango sorbet! Much is grown in the gardens. Everything is prepared in house, including fresh baked breads and cakes in the morning. The facility is spotlessly clean. I spent many hours relaxing in the shade on a setee or sipping cold lager on the patio. My time there will be remembered as a hilight of my trip.

Large room in the main building with private bathroom. Very good restaurant with a vegetarian only menu. I’m not a vegetarian but enjoyed each and every dish I ordered. Did not miss the meat at all. Those Chinese buns - amazing! Be sure the support their good cause program with a donation.

United KingdomWifi isn't great in rooms
More Than A Drop is a simple but comfortable stay. I booked my pre and post Mt Kilimanjaro climb with them and the staff, especially Millie, took incredible care of me. They are compassionate and caring, and the venue serves a great cause by being a platform for young women to gain an education in hospitality. Their breakfast was filling, and facilities are kept nice and clean. They also served lunch & dinner, and the food and drinks did not disappoint! It is important to note that this is a very simple venue, so no pool/spa and the wifi isn't great in the rooms, but this is all clearly mentioned in the facilities prior to booking, so I had managed my expectations. Overall, it was a great stay, and I definitely recommend staying here if your needs aren't fancy.

Everything: the staff, the rooms, the warm welcoming, the food. I liked the fact that is a hotel were some of the staff is being trained to work in tourism and our stay supports their training.

IndonesiaLaundry done onsite was expensive ($15-20) but was hand washed/convenient and supports the good mission behind more than a drop which is a hospitality college for girls.
More that a drop is great! Beautiful, quiete place that is still a walkable distance to town (30min) or quick taxi ride. Food was especially stellar and veggie friendly. Breakfast is great, very delicious fruits and eggs made fresh every morning. The homemade spreads including guacamole was an especially nice touch

Situated in a closed compound which was beautiful. It was a training hotel for young girls who were taught on site. The room was very clean and spacious with a good shower. The food served was all vegetarian but even a confirmed meat eater like me found them delicious.

United StatesThe property is located on the edge of town. If traveling without a car, either a taxi or a rather long walk are required to reach basic services such as ATM, grocery, bus stations, and stores. The windows in my room could not be locked without bending the screen. I did not feel secure at night.
A very nice facility and very clean. EXTREMELY good service. The manager went far beyond the call of duty to help me resolve some problems with my mobile phone. She researched the problem and then took the phone to a nearby store herself to get it working. Everyone was very friendly and helpful

NetherlandsWe were there in the dry season, and though the garden is beautiful and very well tended, as well as full of bird life, unfortunately it also seems to attract a lot of mosquitoes. There is no AC in the rooms which is not a probem at night as there are fans, but it can get a bit hot if you're not in reach of a fan. The place is fairly pricy but staying here supports the mission of the school.
Great little hotel in a very green and luscious old villa a bit outside the center of Moshi. There is a hospitality school on site and a very servicable vegetarian restaurant, also run mostly by the pupils (girls) of the school. The pupils are boarding in a seperate building on the site. If you are lucky there are views of mount Kili from the terrace / restaurant. Apparently the property used to be an orphanage, but it does not show. The rooms are spacious and luxurious. There is a generator for when the power goes out. It's easy to grab a bajaj to the center, if you walk 1 minute from the entrance.

United KingdomThe only thing I didn't like was, that they didn't provide a bottle of water inside the room. And, the one they sold was overpriced and a returnable glass bottle of only one litre, so you cannot take it away with yourself. There was a shop just 5 mins walk away, so I bought a huge bottle for less than half the price from there.
Probably, my best hotel stay so far... what a beautiful paradise like place! Felt like I was in heaven!! The staff are sweet, place is clean and the surroundings are just impeccable. I stayed only a night after my Kili trek and I was in tears when it came to leaving. I really really wish I had a longer stay.

Wifi was strong in the center of the hotel (but not so much in our rooms.) They also were accommodating with our early departure time.
