Th B&B is in such a lovely, green, quiet environment, yet still convenient and close to Moshi town centre. The breakfast is delicious.

More Than A Drop (MTAD) is an oasis in Moshi. I stayed for about a week in February 2025. MTAD is located just outside of Moshi. Although I mostly just walked to town tuk tuks or motorcycle rides come by every minute or two. Ths staff are friendly and helpful. They accomodated any request including 5 AM breakfast. Milli arranged for transportation and advised on tours. The breakfast and dinners were delicious offering traditional local dishes as well as conventional favorites. Especially mango sorbet! Much is grown in the gardens. Everything is prepared in house, including fresh baked breads and cakes in the morning. The facility is spotlessly clean. I spent many hours relaxing in the shade on a setee or sipping cold lager on the patio. My time there will be remembered as a hilight of my trip.

Large room in the main building with private bathroom. Very good restaurant with a vegetarian only menu. I’m not a vegetarian but enjoyed each and every dish I ordered. Did not miss the meat at all. Those Chinese buns - amazing! Be sure the support their good cause program with a donation.

    Wifi isn't great in rooms

More Than A Drop is a simple but comfortable stay. I booked my pre and post Mt Kilimanjaro climb with them and the staff, especially Millie, took incredible care of me. They are compassionate and caring, and the venue serves a great cause by being a platform for young women to gain an education in hospitality. Their breakfast was filling, and facilities are kept nice and clean. They also served lunch & dinner, and the food and drinks did not disappoint! It is important to note that this is a very simple venue, so no pool/spa and the wifi isn't great in the rooms, but this is all clearly mentioned in the facilities prior to booking, so I had managed my expectations. Overall, it was a great stay, and I definitely recommend staying here if your needs aren't fancy.

    Nothing.

Everything: the staff, the rooms, the warm welcoming, the food. I liked the fact that is a hotel were some of the staff is being trained to work in tourism and our stay supports their training.

Laundry done onsite was expensive ($15-20) but was hand washed/convenient and supports the good mission behind more than a drop which is a hospitality college for girls.

More that a drop is great! Beautiful, quiete place that is still a walkable distance to town (30min) or quick taxi ride. Food was especially stellar and veggie friendly. Breakfast is great, very delicious fruits and eggs made fresh every morning. The homemade spreads including guacamole was an especially nice touch

The only improvement I could suggest would be adding fans in the rooms.

Beautiful old walled manor and grounds with a lovely lush courtyard dining area. We stayed in the new garden cottages.

Situated in a closed compound which was beautiful. It was a training hotel for young girls who were taught on site. The room was very clean and spacious with a good shower. The food served was all vegetarian but even a confirmed meat eater like me found them delicious.

Great service and a nice facility, but far from city center

The property is located on the edge of town. If traveling without a car, either a taxi or a rather long walk are required to reach basic services such as ATM, grocery, bus stations, and stores. The windows in my room could not be locked without bending the screen. I did not feel secure at night.

A very nice facility and very clean. EXTREMELY good service. The manager went far beyond the call of duty to help me resolve some problems with my mobile phone. She researched the problem and then took the phone to a nearby store herself to get it working. Everyone was very friendly and helpful

I stayed on a Friday night and there was nightclub next door that was quite loud until about 1am. Something to be aware of if staying on weekends.

The food at the restaurant was delicious and staff were really lovely. The room was nice with a garden outlook.

Charming little hotel with a hospitality school, veggie restaurant and amazing garden with Kili view
    • Leisure trip
    • Couple
    • Deluxe Double or Twin Room
    • Stayed 3 nights

We were there in the dry season, and though the garden is beautiful and very well tended, as well as full of bird life, unfortunately it also seems to attract a lot of mosquitoes. There is no AC in the rooms which is not a probem at night as there are fans, but it can get a bit hot if you're not in reach of a fan. The place is fairly pricy but staying here supports the mission of the school.

Great little hotel in a very green and luscious old villa a bit outside the center of Moshi. There is a hospitality school on site and a very servicable vegetarian restaurant, also run mostly by the pupils (girls) of the school. The pupils are boarding in a seperate building on the site. If you are lucky there are views of mount Kili from the terrace / restaurant. Apparently the property used to be an orphanage, but it does not show. The rooms are spacious and luxurious. There is a generator for when the power goes out. It's easy to grab a bajaj to the center, if you walk 1 minute from the entrance.

This place is amazing. The food is outstanding and so is the staff. I stayed here multiple times. I had a last minute change of plans the second time I stayed here which meant I never got to stay the night. Even though I used the shower and room they refused to charge me for a night.

The only thing I didn't like was, that they didn't provide a bottle of water inside the room. And, the one they sold was overpriced and a returnable glass bottle of only one litre, so you cannot take it away with yourself. There was a shop just 5 mins walk away, so I bought a huge bottle for less than half the price from there.

Probably, my best hotel stay so far... what a beautiful paradise like place! Felt like I was in heaven!! The staff are sweet, place is clean and the surroundings are just impeccable. I stayed only a night after my Kili trek and I was in tears when it came to leaving. I really really wish I had a longer stay.

We really appreciated that they offered laundry service at a very reasonable price. We also liked that they had a restaurant right inside the hotel with a variety of food. Wifi was strong in the center of the hotel (but not so much in our rooms.) They also were accommodating with our early departure time.

Birds and chickens very early in the morning. Not the best sound to wake up to

Amazing stay! First stop in mainland Tanzania and was just spectacular. Mille took care of all of our needs, cars, trips even my husband's dairy free birthday cake. Food was vegan/vegetarian and delicious at a fair price. Wifi worked great. Had a generator so that even when the power went out it came back on almost immediately.
