Excellent stay but a couple of things to note
    • Business trip
    • Solo traveller
    • Double Room with Private Bathroom
    • Stayed 3 nights

I believe that it needs to be clarified before booking that access to the swimming pool is NOT included when renting the 'Double Room'. There is a small pool at the villa but it is only for those who rent the entire villa in spite of the fact that the Booking.com description says "The homestay also offers an outdoor swimming pool and a garden for guests to relax in". Booking does not even offer a whole villa rental option. The outside side door to the room does not lock (this was noted in a previous review) which might be problematic for some.

Overall we had a excellent stay. Roland and Line were most helpful with advice and assistance even before we arrived. The double room is on the ground floor of a hillside villa. Fantastic view out over the harbour. It is a 10 to 15 minute mostly level walk from the ferry/port. There is a very short, steep section just before the villa. The neighbourhood is quiet and safe. Bed was comfortable, shower was hot and powerful. Towels and beach towels are provided. There is a kettle, fridge, egg cooker, and coffee maker provided (but no coffee, tea, salt & pepper, oil). Cups, utensils, and plates but no pots, pans, or stove/oven. Be advised that all of the electrical outlets are UK style, so bring your adaptors (hosts were kind enough to lend us a couple). There are a few restaurants nearby as well as a myriad of choices closer to the port and beach. To get to the gorgeous main beaches, it's a few kilometres of walking or you can take a water taxi from the nearby pier.

    Very poor
    • Leisure trip
    • Solo traveller
    • Double Room with Private Bathroom
    • Stayed 2 nights
    • Submitted via mobile

The staff was not very welcoming or helpful. No introduction to the property. The gentleman made a comment while speaking with someone over the phone "oh, it's just a girl and she's local" The backdoor is not able to lock properly. The standing fan is rusty. The cups and mugs are dated.

    The location

A place on a good location on a beautiful island
    • Business trip
    • Solo traveller
    • Double Room with Private Bathroom
    • Stayed 2 nights

The taxi driver didn't know the place and at first he dropped me at another place with the name 'Harbour View'.

Bequia is a very pleasant island and Harbour View Inn is on walking distance from the centre of Port Elizabeth with shops etc. There are restaurants very near bye (Sailor's Inn with a good chicken chow mein!). The place is very quiet, except the barking dog, but he is silent at night). The owner can give good information over the island.
