Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

One of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed at! Amazing location right in the centre, amazingly clean, very helpful owners and you even get your own little bag of bits (towel, razor, toothbrush, eyemask) in a little bag when you arrive. Would definitely recommend!

GermanyCommunity space like shown on the booking pictures was turned into another dorm - green area as shown on the pictures wasn’t there anymore. So the reality check created a slight disappointment.
Very nicely designed bed booth, kitchen area, location is good.

SpainThis one is quite old and a little bit damage, I stayed before in the new one. The curtain doesn’t cover complete the light, and it’s freezing in the rooms. An extra cleaning in the common areas would be nice.
Location and staff is really nice.

AustraliaCheck in was really annoying from overbooking😑. Takes too much time and felt like unorganised. I was tired from my bus trip and made me waited super long.... go to a different location and still they made me wait because of the famel dorm or mixed dorm. I got angry so i asked the lady just give me any room .🤦♀️ sorry I was a bit angry from my tiredness. Maybe I will come back next time. Hope this overbooking thing doesn't happen again.

UkraineI travel a lot and have stayed in many hostels and I don’t like write bad reviews but I do not enjoy my stay. The staff should be replaced if you don’t want to harm your business. - We waited 30 minutes to check in—after a long journey, that’s the last thing a guest wants. - A staff member yelled at a guest because the STAFFA couldn’t speak English he spoke very good English. She accused him of not paying, even though he had and didn’t said even sorry( Feb 22, afternoon) - I wanted to work at night in the common area but then the staff switch the light offs so I worked from the room. - In the morning, I asked if they could make fresh coffee since the one available was cold and old. She refused, even though it was 9 AM, so I bought coffee elsewhere. Overall attitude seems annoyed, unfriendly, and uninterested in guests. I didn’t felt welcomed at all. 1. The lockers, kitchen, and reception are all in the same open small space— it almost feels of open design the bathroom is too. You can drink your coffee while half-naked men walk by or fix their pants. Wash your teeth’s while watching people Getting their things from the locker. As a woman, I did not feel good about this and the common area was dirty. The kitchen, on the floor water I don’t know I didn’t want to touch things here. 2. One room has an aquarium built into the ceiling. I felt bad for the fish, and the noise made it feel like being underwater constantly. The air quality in the room also felt unhealthy. I would give a 7 -8 if the hostel would be clean and the staff friendlier.
It’s a quiet hostel in the evening. The beds are very comfortable and they provide two pillows and a desk what is awesome. The older housekeeper woman is very kind and sweet and I wish her the most happiness of this world. The men at the reception were kind to me and helped me with the SIM card. If you stay here short you will be ok.

ChileStayed here last year, now it's completely different. The pillow was hard as a rock and the night staff entered the room in the middle of the night and turned on the lights constantly (who knows why). Also there was no light in the morning therefore no AC and bathroom was dark. Horrible experience wouldn't stay here again.

United KingdomI felt the hostel was quite small with no social feel to the place. The process of keeping our belongings in the lockers downstairs was not something I was used to.
Good Location. Comfortable beds and reasonably priced for what you’re getting in those two main things.

GreeceWe forgot some flip flops in the room and when we asked the staff they said they didn’t find them. Also they told us the laundry would take 3 hours and it wasn’t ready until the next day in the afternoon (which delayed our plans for the day) The room was small and the lockers are located in the reception/kitchen area downstairs. The bathrooms were nice however they were also on the ground floor and they weren’t cleaned often enough.
The beds were comfortable, the staff were friendly and they overbooked the first night so they moved us to a private room for the same price . They gave us a late checkout as our laundry wasn’t ready.

South KoreaThe dorm rooms are tiny. Much smaller than I expected. It didn't bother me that much but there wasn't much space to get down from the top bunk. There are clearly people staying here long term which didn't bother me but something to note. The AC was on 24 which was too cold at night.
The location is good. Walking distance to a lot of the main sites like the War Remnants Museum and Independence Palace. There are plenty of showers and toilets and they were pretty clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. They helped me when my locker broke.

Portugal5th floor by stairs with a 20kg luggage is not so pleasant. Bathrooms were not super clean and had a weird smell. Rooms are a bit tight for 8 people.
Probably the cheapest hostel in HCMC. Location is good. Beds are comfy and AC works properly.

PolandThere is very inconvenient system in the hostel. In tiny room there are 14 beds. Moving between beds is almost impossible - there is maybe 30cm space. For tall and not very slim people it's a problem to get to the bed. Also, the room is on the first floor but showers, toilets and lockers to keep your luggage are on the groundfloor. So if you need to take shower or your clothes, you need to move downstairs. Also, bathroom is almost open to the reception so when you enter the building, you can hear everything what's happening in toilets etc. Reception is also tiny and tight - people are sitting there at the tables, unpacking their luggage, preparing to shower, wearing, working remotely... Mornings and evenings it's impossible to stay there. It's nice location but you need to wake up very early and come back very late to avoid crowds in bathroom.
Perfect location in the centre of HCMC. You can reach every place by walking distance. And it's located in tiny street so it's quiet inside. Hostel is new and well equipped. Bathrooms are clean, there is little kitchen available for guests and tap water for free. But this is definitely place for Asian size people.
