Vietnam+ English communication is very basic. + No food places within walking distance, although they have a small fridge with different kind of drinks.
+ Booked this hotel because of the bay view, the limestone is closer than other locations. Very impressive and wonderful to wake up to. + New hotel with good facilities + Very friendly staff + Because it's a bit isolated from the main tourist area, they can get you a motorbike (moped) for rent to travel around. 5 minutes by motorbike, around 15 minutes walking distance into the main town.

AustriaA very nice plate, good and quiet location, the room very big and clean, Toan was extremely helpful and friendly. He helped us rent a motobike so that we could go to the National Park, he also advised us where we can eat and also helped us pick a tour of Lan Ha Bay and Ha Long Bay (which was very good)

VietnamI was very disappointed by the hotel's location. It was described as beachfront in Booking, this is a complete lie. Although I requested and got a seaview room, it is not near an actual beach.

South Korea"It's far from downtown. I have to pay 50,000 dong each time to get there. The only place to go nearby is the cruise ship dock. The Wi-Fi in the room cuts out frequently. I hardly watched the TV in the room. For breakfast, I ordered pho, but the noodles were soggy—perhaps they were packaged elsewhere?"
It's just quiet. It's just quiet. "Other than being close to the dock, there was nothing good about it. Most people receive a tour bus pickup service for the Lan Ha Bay tour. The hotel is located where you board the bus last."

United KingdomThere probably isn't much to distinguish this hotel from a splurge of other decent-enough, modern-enough hotels in Cat Ba. The view may be the one differentiating factor given the slightly different location near Ben Beo Bay ("around the corner" from Cat Ba Town). The bathroom was a bit drab and drained poorly, and the balcony in reality is unusable for more than one person
As other reviewers have shared, the family clearly take great pride in being helpful, and the views over Lan Ha bay are nice. We also liked being 10 minutes walk out of Cat Ba Town (which is a bit soulless in places, so this peaceful spot is a good balance)

CanadaLocation wasn’t good for us as you are about a 15 minute walk out of town up and down a hill without a proper sidewalk for part of it. Weren’t many good options around the hotel for food and no sign of a restaurant in the hotel. This made renting a motorbike pretty essential to get around. Wifi was spotty. English speaking receptionist was not there so although staff were good, communication was a bit difficult. Bed wasn’t the best for us and shower without a door left the bathroom floor wet which wasn’t ideal.
Friendly, helpful & honest staff. Great view from our room. Ac was good. Free cold drinking water in lobby was nice to stop us from going through a ton of plastic water bottles. Quite inexpensive as well. Motorbike rental was a good and fairly inexpensive option (120k vnd/day) to get around the island.
