The stay was really great. The rooms were big and clean and good breakfast buffet. The staff was incredible and super helpful. We even got an upgrade. We got a lot of recommendations and help that made our stay in Hoi a great. I would definitely recommend the hotel.

It's not that we didn't like this, we managed, but it's just a suggestion. The rooms could benefit from having more plug sockets by each bedside.

Room very clean and spacious, very big balcony, very big bathroom. The hotel staff were exceptional, extremely helpful, couldn't do enough for you. The pool was large and situated within a well-kept garden area. Good choice of food for breakfast from cereals, eggs, pastries, toast, local dishes and fruit. Bicycles available for use free of charge. The location of the hotel is about a four minute stroll to cross the bridge into the old town. The hotel is also about a 10 minute stroll to Memories Hoi An which is a must see if you are there.

Hours before we arrived the hotel messaged to say they had put the room up for the wrong price on booking.com and that we would have to cancel and find another hotel or else pay the difference. Two staff argued it out at reception when we arrived that night stating it would be taken from their wages, that we needed to help them with their mistake etc..etc. in the end (after being firm) they agreed to let us pay the original price we booked the room for but that we could pay on checkout after we had ‘thought about it’. On checkout they then tried to overcharge us for three out of four nights, but promptly changed it when I pointed it out. It’s such a lovely hotel but this definitely made a bad first and last impression. I don’t know it they were genuine mistakes however it felt like they were chancing a scam or two. I would book again and hopefully payment would be smoother

The bathrooms smelt a bit musky.

Nice friendly hotel with very hard working staff who offer a very warm welcome. Rooms nice and spacious with a good pool. We made use of the free bikes which were ok for short distances but a bit old. Breakfast was good with fresh eggs on order

Nothing much. All the fabric and bedding felt moist but that is due to the high humidity of the area. The walk to the town is a bit stressful crossing the bridge each time.

The property was clean and modern. It was nicely decorated. Pool was in great shape. The staff was the best, always helpful and pleasant.

The team went above and beyond to help us with the trips we wanted to do and was exceptionally friendly, even going so far as to organize medicine for us when we needed it. Thank you again for your kindness and for the effort that your team put into making our stay so memorable! We highly recommend staying at the Gem Riverside. The location is close to two streets - one with local restaurants that focus primarily on local clients and one that caters more to tourists. We can only recommend this place! The facilities are clean and of a very high standard. A special thanks again to the staff - you guys made our stay truly perfect!

There was a continuous noise coming in our rooms from down; a sound of engine, generator or air conditioner but it was so disturbing. I explained to receptionist but he denied and it even continued for second night. Apart from that disturbing noise, everything was wonderful about the hotel. Those who have some issue with loud distort night, I would advise to tell the reception before
