How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The room is very clean and comfortable; the hostel is in center that is convenient. Specially, Ms. KATE who runs the hostel is super friendly and helpul. I am very satisfied with Gikgo's service. I will stay in Gikgo again when i come back Cantho city.

Large room. Nice little touches. Quiet in a tucked away neighborhood. Close to the river and some nice cafes. Kate the host was lovely and very helpful.

Kate is absolutely friendly, helpful and always smiling. We felt comfortable from the moment we arrived. Also the rooms are large and clean. The tour we booked via the accommodation was also great!

Toilet was low. It was fine for us but It could be challenging if you have a knee problem. Other than that, I can’t think of any reason not to stay here.
Our room was very spacious and clean. Kate works very hard to make sure her guests have a welcoming and comfortable stay. She assisted us in every way she could. Even when we had a super early morning outing, she got up early to see us out and give us a take away breakfast. She also helps you plan excursions and airport transportation. It would be hard to get this kind of value anywhere else.

Excellent homestay, outside the chaos of the center of Căn Thò to visit the Mekong Delta. The room is bright and quiet. The bed is very comfortable, towels, toiletries and hair dryer provided. There is also a laundry service. The owner Kate is very professional and welcoming, if requested she will be able to direct you to very nice local tours. The price of the rooms is fair. I recommend it 😊

In the morning only a refreshing day temperature shower but early evening great. The toilet could be higher.
Kate is a lovely host ready to answer all your questions. It's a nice peaceful little neighborhood where you actually experience being in Vietnam away from the crowds.

The toilet is so close to the wall that I didn't fit properly, but not a major issue.
The owner is super kind and helpful. Big, spacious and clean room. Lovely high ceilings. Comfy bed and nice touches in the room. Great location too, while still being nice and quiet at night. Delicious breakfast!

Super clean, quiet, 20 minute walk to busy area, lots of food and cafe options nearby, kind hostess who answered all of our inquiries. Yummy breakfast options, all the amenities in the room… water, lamp, bath mat, clean towels. Great care was considered to include tiny details to make your stay enjoyable. Thank you!

The pillows could be a bit softer, as so often in Vietnam
The best is Kate from the Gigko hostel. She is just very nice and caring and helps you with every question you have. The breakfast is also good and the rooms are quite and clean. Clear recommendation

Nothing. Maybe the space around the toilet is a bit smaller, especially if you are 1.80 or taller, but nothing worth of mentioning. We would gladly come back!

I wanted to charge my phone but it’s connected with a light… I had to let it on to charge my phone.
Kate the receptionist and manager of the homestay is a sweetheart. She is super friendly and she is making sure that her guests are satisfied all the time. If you need any help or have any requests, she will help you and do the best she can. The room was spacious, clean and the bedsheets looked clean.

Perfectly situated in a quiet residential area, the rooms are peaceful and feature comfortable beds, offering a retreat from the bustling streets. Kate is incredibly friendly, always ready to assist, answer any questions, and share helpful suggestions about the local area. The hostel is not very close to the tourist area, but you can easily go there by cab or on foot and it was not a problem for us.
We enjoyed everything about our stay here :)! The room was nice and clean and the air conditioning worked very well, plus there was a fridge and a kettle. Kate is an extremely nice person, she gave us many useful suggestions about the city and activities, as well as having nice chats together.

Kate was a fantastic hostess and helped with everything. Mekong floating market tour was great! Also Breakfast and Dinner was amazing. She created such a lovely place and we felt very welcome.
