How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Everything. I recommend this property for everyone who likes comfort room, great breakfast and want accommodation in city centre. This property gets it all. So don’t hesitate to book and if you need anything, there is Mai and her colleagues who are ready to help you with anything you possibly need.

Our window was covered by a wall, there was no day light, that could get through, no view from our room.

The AC produced a smoke smell the first few nights (probably from having been a smoking allowed hotel in the past). We got an air freshener and that helped immensely but the first few mornings it was super strong. And overall the rooms showed age and wear and tear (normal but not fully portrayed in the pictures)
The location and accommodations were excellent. The rooms were dated but clean overall and housekeeping was on top of things. Mai was amazing at facilitating what we wanted and the communication was top notch.

The staff were friendly and helpful. They helped to store our luggage even though we had checked out for the Sapa tour (When we returned from Sapa, we actually checked in to another hotel) but they were so kind to keep my luggage there. When we returned from Sapa, we collected our luggage from the hotel. We really appreciated it. Location wise, it is superb in the Old Quarter and yet it is quiet in the room. It is not located near the train street and yet it is walkable. We stayed for a night in the family room with a balcony and the next day, we left for a 2D1N Lan Ha Bay cruise. When we returned, we stayed in a different room without a balcony. For a family of five, the family room with a balcony was more spacious and the beds were more comfortable compared to the one without the balcony. If you are coming in a group, you can opt for the one with a balcony if it is available. If you need advice on excursions, the hotel has a range of tours to offer. You may check it out and compare the prices. I took the Ninh Binh Trang An tour, it was well arranged, the buffet lunch was great and offered lots of choices. Overall, my family enjoyed our stay there.

The location was excellent, it's a great value hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful, carried luggage, helped with transfers and were happy to ensure your comfort. It's a 2 min walk to the lake and puppet theatre, all key sights close by. The room we booked was small, but there was a large wardrobe for storing all our luggage so the floor was clear. It's clean with a firm bed.

Room didn't have a safety deposit box when we arrived, but staff did deliver one straight away when asked.
Perfect location - everything was on our doorstep! Staff were all super friendly and breakfast was delicious with lots of options.

The hotel is situated at an amazing location for sight seeing and shopping. The staff were very helpful and I loved our room. It had a beautiful balcony and was perfect for relaxation.

The drainage of the bathroom is very slow. N will form a pool of water while showering. The power sockets cannot hold power adapters very well as the adapters r heavy n tend to drop out if not supported.
The hotel was clean n comfortable. Well located n short walk from Lake Hoan Kiem. Plenty of shops, eateries n pubs nearby. Ms Mai n her staff, Ms Vivian n Mr Ting were extremely friendly n hospitable.

Hotel / rooms could do with a slight renovation as they're a bit tired looking, although they are still nice. Even though everything was nice and the staff were generally friendly, we felt pressured by the staff to leave a 10/10 review and we really did not appreciate this.
Location and room was good and clean Hotel kept our luggage when we went to Ninh Bình and Ha Giang They let us early checkin from around 11am
