The hotel quality reflects the affordable price. The building is old and dirty. During the first 2 nights of our stay, we were on the second floor, and I saw a cockroach in our room. The pillowcases and blankets unfortunately had dirt and small stains. However, after changing to a room on the sixth floor, we had a lovely balcony, and the room and bedding was much cleaner.

The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We originally booked for 1 night and ended up staying for 2 extra nights. When we requested to change rooms, they did so without hesitation. The location is conveniently located in the Old Quarter near major tourist destinations.

I arrived at the hotel at around 10 p.m. and unfortunately, strangely enough, my room was not available. I got a triple room. But the next day I was able to change my room. If you look through the reviews, this seems to happen quite often. There is no real 24-hour reception. It is more likely that people spend the night at reception and have to wake someone up. But that is normal. The location of the hotel is great. There is everything you need nearby and you can walk to some of the sights. Tours are also offered but I didn't take them. So I can't say anything about that. WiFi was stable and fast, so you could also work. As in many Asian countries, it is a bath-shower combination. That means you also put the toilet under water. But it is warm, so it dries quickly.

Air con. Went in in the summer afternoon. HOT. Inform staff to fix it they say its because in the afternoon it uses solar. Didn't fix. Ok Evening time "slightly" cooler and still toleratable with fans in. Its only cold after a couple of hours. If I pay for the electric shouldn't I get to enjoy that? Probably would give a 9 stars if not for this.

When I step in, the room looks exactly like the pictures. Everything was great, except one. Location is great in middle of old quarters, near hoan kiem lake. Comfy bed toiletries, like the kind of memory foam. hot water working etc. Even had a big window at pretty low price as compared to others. Its not even in a small alley way its in main street. So very good value for money. Its a king size and solo bed room, room isn't small compared to similar rooms in the area. Building slightly old but decor looks great.

we booked 3 single beds but was given 1 double bed and 1 single. that was disappointing. shower, toilet and sink are all in the same room which makes it hard for us 3 people to do things simultaneously. i have to wait for someone else to finish their shower if i want to brush my teeth, take the toilet, etc

I stayed in a room on the 1st floor that was right next to the stairs with a very thin wall. I woke up every night to people coming up the stairs and talking loudly. Also on the same floor is luggage storage, so there was some noise, sometimes even very early like 5 or 6 in the morning. The bedroom door has a translucent part, which makes the room light up when someone turns on the hallway light.

Hanoi View Legend has a great location for those who want to stay in the center of the Old Quarter and the staff are very helpful and friendly.

Hotel was very close to the busy part of the old quarter. For the price this hotel was fine and good value for money. I actually didn't stay the night, but used it as a base during the day and somewhere for a shower, before catching my flight home. Staff were very helpful!

Shower had hot water but would change the temperature to very hot and cold.. which was ok if you use the smaller shower head ( but water pressure for this wld be lower)

location is very close to the lake, reception lady was super friendly and good english also booked us a car to airport for great value.
