Hotel was in good position for experiencing the hustle and bustle of the area. Plenty of places to eat and drink. Hotel rooms quite outdated and public corridors fairly unclean. Staff were wonderful, always so helpful. Special mention of Ms Cherry who helped with tours

Lake View Hotel is in the perfect location, walking distance to take lake within the Old Quarter where you can find a plethora of great bars and restaurants. However the best point of this place is not the hotel itself, but the staff. They offer amazing guidance for Hanoi itself as well as other locations, including transportation to them. Cherry was especially very helpful and knowledgeable with all different possibilities of spending you time in Hanoi. Great place for landing in Vietnam and getting know everything step by step. The place may seem to be a little bit rusty, some comments also mention the noise - this will happen everywhere in the Old Quarter to the density and traffic, but it is very manageable (I had my first jet lag ever, and managed to sleep without problems - just don’t drink Vietnamese coffee in the evening). 10/10

This was a quick stopover for me, not even 12 hours spent in this hotel. The check in process was seamless, considering I arrived at 3am. The staff were so lovely and very helpful when asking for recommendations and transfers. Good location and clean, spacious rooms.

Fantastic location, great staff, and good choice for the breakfast. The room was tidied every day but not cleaned as there was dust and hair around that was not cleaned. There was only one socket by the bed that was playing up at times. Breakfast is on the 7th floor and requires to walk narrow stairs from the 5th floor, so the hotel is not for disabled people. Overall, I would say it is slightly overpriced, but other than that, it is acceptable for the stay.

The staff is very nice and communicative. Once we booked the room we received a message on Whatsapp from the host to help us in case we needed something. It’s very central, close to everything in the old quarter. We spent one night only so there’s not so much I can share, but the bed was big and comfortable.

Nothing comes to mind really. If you wanted to be nit-picking: I had to use the stairs for one floor, but that's really, really small fry considering the quality of the room. ;-)

This was my second stay here within a week any the room, now on level 8 adjacent to the front desk and in the same block as the breakfast floor, the room was simply superb! Nothing more to add, simply excellent!

There were a couple of issues you need to be aware of, e.g. the room safe didn't work and the elevator doesn't include the basement. The fabulous staff however pointed out some workarounds.

There location is hard to beat and the place is fine. Would stay there again.

The bathroom has good enough area,but the shower with bad fixtures,was very much uncomfortable to use on top of the bath tub.

All of the staff were all friendly and attentive to our needs.The hotel location is good as it is just a short distance to the Hoan Kiem Lake.The hotel which comfortably accomodated us,a family of eight, is adjacent to nearly all commercial streets where lots of restaurants serving Hanoi foods at very reasonable prices as well as those stores selling shoes,bags,and other stuff made in Vietnam.The breakfast buffet is good enough but will be much better adding more food selections.

The location of the property is perfect and the staff is absolutely wonderful. The staff always greats you with a smile and are always up to help you. Alec also helped us book the Halong tour which was a wonderful experience. The only challenge was that because of its location there’s vehicular sounds at night and some early morning announcements happen at around 7 am nearby, but it didn’t disturb us much.
