The staff here are fantastic. Here's a couple of examples of why I think that: 1. I arrived at 7 am Sunday morning. I was given a complimentary breakfast and an early check in. The room I booked months before had been water damaged the day before and I was offered a bigger room at a much reduced price. I was really happy with the room. The other room would have been available on Monday but I was able to stay in the really great discounted room for my stay 2. Communication was really easy and friendly before during and after my stay. 3. This should be #1 really.... Any way, I left a shirt in the room and Moon found the shirt and express posted it to my next destination in Hoi An. It arrived within a day. Moon paid for the postage because COD was not available. I'm getting a copy made of the shirt in Hoi An and that's the only reason I bought the shirt to Vietnam.

I recently stayed at Jan Hostel, and I can't recommend it enough! It's located in a strategic part of District 1, making it easy to explore all the main attractions in Ho Chi Minh City. Hang and Moon, the hosts, were absolutely awesome and incredibly welcoming. They went out of their way to give me all the advice I needed about the city, from the best places to eat to hidden gems worth visiting. They truly made me feel at home, and their hospitality made my stay even more memorable. If you're looking for a cozy and friendly place to stay, Jan Hostel is the spot!

The staff was simply amazing, they helped us with everything. Very kind and available. They welcomed us with a huge plate of fruit and water. Location was also perfect. There was a bit of noise coming from the streets, but we slept very well because the room was soundproof. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. I would recommend this hostel to anyone!!

Shower sprays all over the bathroom so the toilet is wet for a while after use. Definitely a private hostel room more than hotel (no daily cleaning etc)

The floor could have been a bit cleaner but other than that I don’t have anything to say.

The hostel was clean, the bed was comfortable. It is located in a central district, with quick access to many historical sights, bars and restaurants. The biggest highlight was the staff! The breakfast was really good.

The only room for improvement we could see is the shower. Since there is no curtain, the water would spray everywhere, including onto the toilet and the toilet paper. Just a small thing, but it did not impact the experience at all.

First of all, Moon and her coworker were just simply amazing. So beyond helpful and always available for questions and assistance. The hostel is amazing for the price and location. We had a deluxe room with balcony and even though it’s centrally located near the party street, it was calm and relatively quiet at night. We were greeted after a 15-hour trip with fresh orange juice and freshly sliced local fruit, which was just perfect. Even though we arrived around 10:30 am, Moon rushed to get our room ready so that we could check in around 11 and rest and shower after such a long trip. Moon helped us find an ATM, book a tour of the Mekong Delta and reserve an extra night in the room last minute. Really really great service.

Staff are very friendly and provide a nice welcome treat of fresh fruit. Location also great with easy walking around the Pham Ngu Lâu area. Room was cỡ and comfy. Tasty breakfast, too. A really nice staycation.

It didn’t bother us too much, but you can hear the music from the main strip at night which may be something to be wary of if you are a light sleeper.

Very impressed with Jan Hostel. They sent us very clear instructions on how to get to the property which was useful for us arriving late at night. The room was quite spacious and had a very comfortable bed. Well located, walking distance to the main areas of the city and the staff were so friendly and helpful.

On my last day, the sink faucet started malfunctioning and was wildly spraying out water whenever I turned it on. The television was not logged into any streaming services so I was only able to watch whatever movies were on YouTube.

Located next to a popular touristy street which was exciting because it was easy to go out at night and only have to walk 5 mins home to sleep. (However if you're a light sleeper, it will be difficult with the lights and music). The room was spacious and the complimentary fruit was clean and tasty. When I needed to leave early for a day tour, the staff were kind enough to prepare me breakfast as a takeaway so that I wasn't late.

When we when to the hotel, there was a miscommunication in our booking however the hotel staff were nice enough to accommodate us and move us to another hotel within their hotel group. The staff were accommodating (even paid for our grab and upgraded our room) given what happened. The hotel staff were nice, room was clean, location is near the center but not within the party area which can be too loud

Cleanliness, bathroom was dirty when i checked in at around 1 am, so i was exhausted. And the kitchenette has hair The tiny alleys that lead you to the hotel, you have to walk it when you arrive by the taxi and they are dirty

We loved Jan Hostel's host, Moon ! She was very helpful, available, perfectly fluent in English and kind ! Such an amazing host who we are glad to have met 😀 The bedroom was clean and corresponded with our expectations ! The breakfast was simple but very good quality. We would definitely not hesitate to stay here again.

The hosts were extremely friendly and forthcoming, always ready to help, and suggest things to do. Breakfast is great (fruit platter included each day) with plenty of veggie options. The location was great, near the party street but you didn't hear anything of it. Thank you for having us!
