The one thing I didn't like was that there was no shower curtain separating the shower or the toilet. Water often went on the toilet. There is no fan in the bathroom. Toilet paper needed to be disposed of in the rubbish bin and not flushed (might be a Vietnam thing).

Jan Hostel is in District one near bui vien (party) street. Despite this, you could still sleep at night comfortably. It is close to the centre of Ho chi Minh, and tours can pick you up from the hostel. Note that it is off an alleyway, but it is not too hard to find. The room was large enough for a solo traveller, super clean, with a comfortable bed and working air con. The best part of the hostel was the staff. Moon especially was super nice, helpful with tour ideas and catered to my needs and answered all my questions. Excellent value for money! I definitely recommend staying here.

They had to change our room during our stay, because other guests extended their stay and the hostel did not have another room of the same level for us to stay both nights.

The Hostel is located in an amazing spot, well connected with the major activities in HCMC. The staff is very kind and the rooms are clean. The breakfast is good and offer a good choice! Special mention to the night guy who prepared us breakfast on the go, as we had to leave early!

Was a bit hard to find first time round due to being located in an alley, but subsequently very easy!

Excellent budget option! Had all the basic necessities and most importantly it was clean, shower and air con worked well. Bed was a good size for 2 people and comfortable as well. Shoutout to Moon for being the best and sweetest hostess ever and helping us out however possible!

The property is conveniently located close to entertainment, food, and other attractions. While you could hear the music from the bar street in the hall or lobby, the room was very soundproof and quiet. The room was basic but the bed and pillows were new and very comfortable. Breakfast was simple but delicious. The best part of this property were the staff, who were friendly and very helpful. They were nice to talk to and always willing to go above and beyond to help you get a ride, book a tour, or find something great to eat. Thank you to Moon and the rest of the staff. I’m sorry if I misspelled your name. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

The shower head was much too high and not adjustable. A big dark water stain in the bathroom.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. Always ready to give information. Fresh fruits everyday. Walking distance to all major sights. The staff Mun and Tony are the best. Mun gives good tips. For a Hostel, one cannot ask for more.

The only issue I had, was that it was a little hard to find, but this doesn't really matter once you find it, and maybe I could've done my research a bit better.

A great experience and a great and super clean room. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again :-) It's very close to the main party Street of Bui Vien but very calm and quiet.

We like the location close to centrum. We booked smaller room than we expected and lady Moon was so kind to help us to change rooms. We were so lucky that were was a bigger room available. Moon gave us helpfull recomendations where to eat and where to go.

This accommodation had been recommended to me by a local colleague. We were a bit skeptical at first given the alley entrance and backpacker hostel look to the reception. However, the room was terrific and the bed was SUPER comfortable. Very clean and quiet. Breakfast was very good and Moon and Jan were extra helpful and friendly. Jan went above and beyond to help me feel better from a sore throat (Dr. Jan!!!) which will be one of the lasting memories of my trip.

WiFi in my room was not the best, but manageable. Shower has no curtain and water can get everywhere, but that’s a typical in SE Asia so nothing special to point out.

The staff is absolutely amazing! We had an early flight and they arranged transportation at 3.30am for a very fair price. When I went to check-out, they had kindly packed 2 waters and a big box of fruits for us to bring to the airport!! Beds are incredible, very soft! Felt amazing to have a break from the hard Asian mattresses. Everything was clean as well.
